Mom, Why Am I Different?

Mom, Why Am I Different?
Chapter 7

At that time I had no other decision, I finally allowed Niko to drive us. The awkwardness, resentment and hurt I had to forget for a moment for my little daughter. All the way I was silent.

"Hopefully this is our last meeting Mas," my inner being as I continued to stare at the windshield.

After almost 5 hours we arrived in my hometown. Seeing that it was night I asked Niko to stay at home. After preparing the room, I prepared dinner.

"This house is still the same as before, it feels like I have not enjoyed the night air in this village for a long time" Niko said as she began to scoop up rice.

"Father after eating we sit in front of ya," pinta Luna while smiling at the father.

"Yes, you want to come with us on the porch?" niko asked as she began to enjoy the food on her plate.

"No, I want to take a break" I replied without looking at the face of the man before me.

After dinner, I cleaned it up. Niko and Luna immediately walked towards the terrace to play in the courtyard. I who had just finished washing the dishes immediately walked forward when I heard Luna's happy laughter.

"God if Luna could keep laughing like that, forgive my dear Mother," I cried.

The next day before returning to Luna town takes Niko to meet with her friends. While holding the hand of the father Luna walked so cheerfully and happily. The familiarity of a father and son that long did not meet.

"Friends! Meet my father" said Luna, laughing happily.

"It turns out Luna has a father" replied one of her friends.

"Yes his father is handsome and rich" replied a bigger boy.

I can only see from a distance. Suddenly, a mother approaches Niko and Luna. I also immediately approached Luna who was on the front page.

"Eh Mas Niko has come home, it seems like Mas Niko is already rich huh," replied a mother with a cynical smile.

"Yes, if you can help Rani, pity if you have to be a laundry worker, after all, anywhere not to go home" said another mother.

"Sorry all this time ..." not finished Mas Niko replied I immediately cut his words.

"Luna let's go home! Dad also had to return to the city immediately because he had to work," I asked Luna while looking hard at Mas Niko's face.

"Luna Dad to the city first yes, next time Daddy will come here again" said Niko while sitting in front of Luna.

"Dad promised yes" replied Luna while hugging her father.

"Dear, the device that Luna left behind should not be lost, yes" Niko said to her little daughter.

"Rani, I say thank God next time I will come here again to visit you" said Niko as she extended her hand.

"Thank you for the ride, and I ask never to come to this place again" I replied without shaking Mas Niko's hand.

The hurt I felt made me hate and grudge. Never shake his hand, see his face I really do not want. Since Mas Niko's return, I hope that I will never see her face again.

"Luna! You want to join the working mother, no" I shouted while calling Luna who was playing outside.

"His mother works far away?" asked Luna while running towards me.

"No, I work at Miss Santi's house" I replied, pointing to the mansion that was two houses apart from my house.

"Then Luna is here alone," he replied as he ran to his friends.

I also started walking towards the house of Miss Santi to work as a scrub wash and clean her house. After finishing my work, I sat under the chair while looking at one of Ms Santi's daughters playing with a laptop. I wondered what he was doing.

"Eh Mbak Rani, this is working Ma'am," replied Mia with a friendly smile.

"What work Ma'am, how much writing is so," I replied confused.

"Mia is making Ran's novel, you want to be taught to make an online novel, who knows there is a fortune for you and Luna," said Miss Santi as she walked towards us.

"Ah Mom, I won't be able to let alone I don't have a laptop" I replied with a shy smile.

"Wear hp can Maak, if you want to start tomorrow Rani ajar deh," replied Rani while closing her laptop.

"Mak Mia seriously want to teach me the work of hp?" I ask as if I do not believe in the offer of Bu Santi and his daughter.

"Yes Ma'am, the salary is quite good if our story is good and many read," replied Mia while looking and smiling at me.

After chatting with Miss Santi I immediately went home. When I got home I cooked my lunch and Luna. After lunch I immediately took my phone and went back to see Mia at her house.

"Assalamualaikum," said I while knocking on Miss Santi's house.

"Waalaikumsalam," said Miss Santi as she opened the door.

"Mom, I'm sorry is Mia's mom home?" I asked while slightly bowing my body.

"Some, let's go in. Come on Luna, let's go inside" invited Miss Santi kindly.

When I got there Mia was still busy with her laptop.  Slowly I began to approach her and sat down while holding Luna. I also started showing the cell phone I was carrying from home.

"Sir, is this phone workable?" I asked while showing the phone to Mia.

"Bak Rani no android phone? If it's an old phone so it can't be made on the internet," explained Mia with a smile.

"Oh yes Ma'am, I only have this," I replied while bowing down disappointed.

"Mbak Rani wait here for a moment, yes" said Mia as she walked towards her room.

After saying goodbye to me Mia immediately stood up and walked towards her room. Not long after Miss Santi came with a tray containing a cup of warm tea and some snacks. With a friendly smile, Miss Santi put down and invited us.

"Rani, have a drink while waiting for Mia," said Miss Santi as she placed a tray on the table.

"Mom, Luna wants to eat that snack" said Luna while pointing at one of the snacks on the tray.

"Eat Nak, Rani is sitting here doing her sitting down," ordered Miss Santi as she patted the sofa beside her.

"Yes ma'am thank you" I said as I opened a snack for Luna.

"Rani, yesterday I saw you coming home with Niko," said Bu Santi with a smile.

"Yes Ma'am, I only asked Mas Niko to divorce me" I replied with a doubtful smile.

"Oh Allah why, try to tell me to Mother," said Ms Santi while surprised.

"Because Mas Niko is remarried in the city," I replied with a smile.

"Oh my God, you are patient. Mia Kok has not come out of her room yet," said Ms Santi as she turned to Mia's closed room.
