I sat down with three friends in the cafeteria and enjoyed the beige chicken, which became the best seller menu on my campus. Campus life was not as beautiful as it was in my shadow when I was in High School. I think being a student is fun because the lecture hours can be arranged by themselves, but it turns out that setting your own lecture schedule is enough to consume mind energy. Not to mention that I had to adjust to the schedule of the organization and follow the studies that almost every day I went to.
“Sadly, yesterday I had Skimming in super market” said one of my friends. His name is Nadiffa he is also a Nutritional student, the same as me.
“Where Can?” Asked him. Because the skimming I know is an information theft on the Atm card.
“Iya Xav, you know, super market at the intersection of Deket SD?” me and a friend of mine nodded, then she continued her story. “Ya story I want to shop but use cash, yes I have taken it first right at the ATM, continued Vier turned out his ATM was damaged. Continues ATM I can not get out rich stuck to it and there is a person next to me he bergarahin I asked this, yes I have followed keep tetep ga out too. I finally got out of the supermarket. Long time I'm out, Cece I called he said there was a withdrawal of 8 million. I was shocked really lemes I check the ATM place I saw my ATM already not scared there”
“So money Lo lang that?” Ask Devina.
“Yes yes I directly phone CS it turns out the real money there is ngambak” said Nadhiffa.
“Why not be blocked first?” Asked him.
“Mana sepet mikirin block. Udah keburu panic first his card stuck can not get out”
“Make a lesson Nad, make in the future must be careful again if you want to withdraw money in a small supermarket. Yes suppose you learn, the name of learning is expensive kan” I said to Nadhiffa.
“Iya Xav, I at that time was praying directly with God so that my heart is sincere, continue to let the money lost from me can be useful for people who take. And Cece said I also let it be, because what is ours is not entirely ours. Yeah, maybe I'm less alms. Umi gitu”
Little story about Nadhiffa he was my friend who came from a family whose religion is strong. Papah nya is a convert who was Buddhist and converted to Islam in his teens who later became a missionary activist, in addition, he also often participated in every trip dawah his father to various cities to know how the culture of each region.
“You want to try my cooking? I want to try a new menu. Cobain yu” I said to Nadhiffa and Devina. Because honestly having a food store in order to continue to grow the way is we must have unlimited creativity. Can not drown because the times continue to run and the tastes of people are increasingly varied.
“Free right?” Devina said with a little laugh.
“I give you a bonus drinking iced tea instead” I said.
“Yes Allah Xav, I doain may his blessings flow on. Aamiin”'s. Nadhiffa
“Aamiin yes Allah”
Then after the class was finished at 3 pm I along with Nadhiffa and Devina left for the restaurant that I founded since I was a freshman located only 250 meters from the campus. I used to come to the Stores on foot because it was enough to sweat and save costs.
The sustenance is not just limited to money, having a good friend is also a sustenance. Allhamdulillah Allah gave me Nadhiffa, son of ustadz who when I was confused about matters of belief he could answer my confusion. Luckily I also have friends like Devina who since Junior High has lived in pesantren and is well versed in the history of Islam and Sirah Nabawiyah. Since childhood he was accustomed to being a person who did not look at all things of the world. In fact, in his house there is no WiFi, his internet quota is limited to only 1GB a day, even then. It is only used for college purposes.
When I entered the first semester I met many people, before meeting Devina and Nadhiffa I had lost my way. But Mashallah, the good-natured God gave me the opportunity to improve my charity through a brief introduction to Devina at the diner that I just started small. Through each of his advice, I was finally able to make my wish accomplished.
“Assalamualaikum” I said as I opened the shop door.
“Waalaikumsallam Mba” said one of my employees. Here I can only afford to pay 4 employees whose incidentally they are teenagers who are forced to drop out of school and need a job.
Intention, today I want to create a new menu that I think can be consumed as a diet because it is healthy and low in calories. My goal is not only to make this a friendly place to do chores, but the food here should be healthy. As a nutrition student, I wanted to disappear the mindset that eating in the tavern was all junk food. Especially in Jakarta, there are so many regional students whose diet is careless and food ingredients that are important are delicious.
“Eh I prepared the food first yes in the kitchen. You guys take a drink first, I said to Nadhiffa and Davina.
“Don't be long, later customers are disappointed” Davina said. And, these words that sounded like a joke were actually words that I should take seriously. Their arrival here I consider as a customer who will taste my new cuisine, if the opinion is good then I will release, if not then I will improve again.
“Pastii” I gave my thumbs up.
In the kitchen I prepared all the ingredients that I would cook, from cutting vegetables and baking bread I did it myself because all my employees were serving customer orders outside. If I am not free, I often come here to help and check the availability of goods for the next day. Thankfully, Allah gave me a lot of facilities to build this shop. Starting from suppliers who are ready to deliver goods to the front of the store, then employees who are honest and able to work together and help each other, he said, and customer testimonials that always upload on social media if they are here make this store more crowded visitors.
“Kak, deposit money two days ago is in the sales book yes. Her book I taro in her drawer Sister” Said my cousin's sister, her name is Kaila, Kaila, He was still in 2nd grade High School and his family just happened to live here and he wanted to help me run the shop after school.
“That's a dish he says he wants you to try selling?” He approached me and watched closely what I was doing.
“Mau?”
“Bole” He said with a grin featuring a row of neatly arranged teeth.
When I finished, I invited Kaila to come over to my friends outside. Because he said he wanted to taste also this new cuisine.
“This lettuce steak is the same banana smoothies” I said as I placed a tray on the table and then sat down. “I was going to make Avocado jam Toast but it turned out the fruit was exhausted. Next time I make it deh”
“Still Yes Brother Ukhti” Say Devina while then directly taking her part.
“Pray first gais don't forget” said Nadhiffa who then took his share as well.
“Kaila eat just don't be shy. Just take a lot” Devina said to Kaila because since then she just listened while silent.
“Padahat was in the kitchen already ogling the lyrics demen it” I said to Kaila.
My cousin's sister this one is pretty shy. He had met my two friends often but until now still awkward. Until finally, he ate my food. There is a sense of satisfaction in my heart when I see the smile of my two friends who talk “Mashallah, you can make food as good as this”
“But the salt is reduced yes Xav, this is very salty flavor. If the menu is healthy salt is a little” Devina said.
“But fitting Dev, this is not so salty” Nadhiffa said.
“This is still salty Nad, if you make a healthy menu should be less than this” said Devina who began to complain his argument with Nadhiffa.
“But I like this is not very salty and not bland as well. Pas gotu”
And then they argue about the taste until Kaila raises his voice.
“If in my opinion anyway, it is suitable for the taste. The salt is not to be reduced because sometimes there are people's tongues that may be less salty. If the menu is healthy, it looks like this is enough Kak”
“Ya has already. Quite as soon as Devina finally gave up that her argument was lost when Kaila's opinion was more in agreement with what Nadhiffa said.
“Still yes Dev, your opinion I received.” I thumbs up at Devina.
With this argument, I realized that everyone's taste would be different. The tongue is not the same and, as much as possible I will set a menu that I think the market is people who taste like my cooking. People whose tongues agree that this cuisine is delicious. If his tongue speaks no, then that's not my target. Because I can't force someone to like something I do. When people don't like it, yes. Not even talk “Yahh taste lowly” when yes it is not the target market I only. Maybe other people prefer other dishes, compared to this cuisine.
“But the smoothies I don't like Xav” Nadhiffa said.
“So good guy gini, cushy bergga time” reply Devina.
“Dav, Don't like that doesn't mean it's not good. Just like you don't like someone that doesn't mean you hate, right?”
And again, the debate began again until finally there must be one who sincerely to dampen his argument and apologize. What I like about them is that they can argue really hard but then they can come to terms with each other's apologies. A very difficult thing I did first was to be breastfed and sincere.
But every day with them, staring at those arguing then getting back together, seeing them lose something that happened suddenly but being able to be sincere and surrender again made me also accustomed to living together with sincerity.
Davina once said that we can anytime and anywhere lose something even in seconds. The problem is not a thing that is lost, but is a sense of sincerity that remains or not when we are hit by loss. Because Davina knew, Ikhlas was a simple sentence that was easy to say but hard to do. But he said if we live always in tandem with the feeling of sincerity, then there is no burden that we have. The burden will disappear as well. God can revoke our blessings at any time, so we must be ready at any time. And what are the preparations? Yes getting used to Ikhlas is the preparation.
