With the remnants of his strength, Dev opened the gates of his father-in-law's house and stepped in, leaving Darwin's men lying on the ground with blood-soaked bodies and faces.

"Agyaa." cried Dev as he gushed the blood that kept flowing from his temple.

The sound of screaming managed to grab the attention of Agya and his parents who were busy eating their breakfast.

"Devs." Agya got up from her seat, she was about to run out to meet her husband but Mr. Darwin immediately prevented her.

"Continue eating! Let papa find him."

"But pa, Dev-."

"You want to argue with papa!" exclaimed master Darwin, drawing a sharp gaze. He who had originally looked calm, had now become fiery, a flash of anger filling his head after hearing the voice of his daughter-in-law.

"Darling, let--."

"The Agya company eats!" Mr. Darwin cut off his wife's soft words, before leaving the dining room with long steps, even with his clenched hands.

"Devs." Agya shook her head, she grabbed Dev's body and hugged him.

"I'm sorry, honey. Forgive me." said Dev tightened his embrace while peeping Agya's shoulder repeatedly. He won't let go of this woman again, until whenever he won't let her go.

"Devs."

"I beg you to stay like this, I miss you so much." The hug on Agya's body felt tighter, the man seemed unwilling to let go.

"You are beating our baby."

Instantly Dev took off his embrace, now his gaze turned to Agya's growing belly.

"Are they okay?" her tanyanya gently rubbed Agya's stomach and kissed her.

"Hm." Agya answered briefly, he moved his hand to cupper Dev's face.

"This injury must have been very painful. Come in, I'll clean your face."

"There is more pain than this wound." Dev held his chest, where his heart was. "You managed to drive me crazy and break my heart."

Agya instantly fell silent, she turned her gaze in the other direction while closing her eyes briefly. Is that Dev without him? What if he's gone? Is Dev going to be a lot worse off?

"Ehm, ma-enter. It looks like your temple is torn, I will ask mama to sew your wounds." Agya said, switching their conversation. "Secretary Kim, come in too."

"Good mistress." Secretary Kim nodded, then stepped following Dev's footsteps walking in front of him. His gaze now circulated around him, seeking the existence of Lord Darwin. Didn't the middle-aged man tell Dev to go and close the door? But why did Agya suddenly get out and meet Dev? Did master Darwin just test how much Dev loves his son?
