"Sit down, Mom, Mel."
Bu Dita immediately sat on a wooden chair in the room and was followed by Imelda who had always bent her face.
"What do you want to drink? Let Alina make it," asked Alina while watching Imelda who still did not want to meet her eyes.
"No, Son Alina. We don't want to trouble you. You are still in mourning at the moment. You better sit down and tell me what you want to talk to Mom about," said Bu Dita with a warm smile staring at Alina.
Once again Alina glanced at Imelda who was now beginning to dare to look at her. Imelda's eyes grew bigger and Alina knew what she meant.
This time Alina did not want to give up any more. He wants justice for himself and the baby-to-be who will continue to grow in his womb.
"All right, Miss Dita. Today I want to tell you a truth that I need to know about Imelda. All this time I was silent because I respected Mother very much and did not want to make Mother sad let alone add to the burden of the mind of Bu Dita. But, the more I get here, the more I get cornered and I can't keep it and bear it alone, Mom," Alina said with a sad face looking at Bu Dita.
Imelda grabbed Bu Dita's hand then shook her head as the woman turned to him. Don't believe me, that's what Imelda meant. However, just for a moment, now Bu Dita's attention is back distracted by Alina who still wants to continue the story.
"What do you mean, son? I don't understand." Ms. Dita is worried.
Alina began to tell stories about the events of that day. Ever since he visited Imelda for help, Imelda took him to a hotel and sold him to a striped man.
Not to forget, Alina also told how Imelda recorded the incident on that night while at the hotel and then spread it to one school until she was severely sanctioned.
Ms. Dita held onto her chest which felt tight after hearing Alina's confession. The middle-aged woman's eyes were even perfectly rounded.
"And do you know what's happening to me right now? I'm pregnant, Mom. And I don't know where I'm going to go looking for accountability. Everyone scoffs at me, the neighbors no longer want to get close to me, everyone keeps away from me because I look disgusting in their eyes. And it's all because of your daughter, Imelda!" annoyed Alina while shedding her tears.
"God! So, Alina is currently pregnant?!It was fitting that he was so curious who had bought his virginity that night, "the inner Imelda with a paled face.
"lik! Don't believe the words of this girl! This is why I stayed away from her, Mom. He wanted to cover up his ugliness by blaming others!"
Imelda looked frustrated and tried to convince Ms. Dita who was still in shock and could not say anything. The woman's lips were mute, her voice as if it was stuck in the throat.
"Mom knows that all this time I've never lied to you. And I take it easy, I will not prosecute Imelda legally. Right now I just want Imelda to help me find the father of the baby I'm carrying. I need some accountability from the man" said Alina with her head bowed to the floor.
"Alright, Mom! We better get home! The longer Mom is here, I'm sure Alina will be more and more raving and talk about things that are not-no" Imelda told the still-silent Mother.
"W-is that right, Imelda? Did you really do that to Alina?" asked Bu Dita stammeredly to Imelda who was still trying to take the middle-aged woman away from Alina's residence.
"Trust, Mom! Did Mom believe that I could do such a thing to someone else, let alone my own best friend! No, right?!" imelda cried again trying to convince Bu Dita.
Ms. Dita was silent again. The woman was in a dilemma, she did not know to believe the words of Alina, or the words of Imelda, her own son. Although all this time he knew Alina personally well, but he was also not sure that Imelda could be cruel to her own friend.
"Alina, it's not that I don't believe your words, but it's impossible that Imelda did that to you. Now, do you have any proof that Imelda really did that to you?"
Alina closed her eyes for a moment, she already knew that Ms. Dita would not be that easy to trust him. Imelda is a two-headed girl who is so good at hiding her crimes.
"I don't have any proof, Miss Dita. But, I'm sure the hotel's CCTV is still functioning properly" Alina replied firmly.
"He's getting mixed up, Mom! We'd better just go home!" take Imelda who is getting panicked.
Imelda pulled the hand of Bu Dita who was still pensive while thinking about Alina's words. After successfully waking up Bu Dita's body, Imelda immediately led her mother into their car. Leaving Alina who was now standing in the doorway of her house with a gloomy face.
