CHAPTER XIV

After discussing the matter with his friend, Rafael immediately headed for Delia's room. The woman was seen sitting on the bed hugging her knees, Delia still sobbing there. Raphael immediately moved his foot towards Delia.

"Delia.." call Rafael softly.

Delia raised her head.

"Oh my God, if you're like this, you can get sick, baby" Rafael said.

"How's mom's dad doing now? Are they gonna be okay?" delia asked back sobbing.

Raphael sat down beside his bed and pulled Delia into his arms.

"They must be fine, Del. I promise to bring them back safely. I've been talking to my friends about this, we'll all be looking for their whereabouts. The police and also the detectives I know are on the move as well. So I beg you to calm down" said Rafael.

"I'm just scared, I'm afraid of losing them."

"Sstttt. I brought them here, I will take full responsibility. I will find them without any shortage. But how can I search for them calmly, if you continue like this. I won't be able to focus if I keep thinking about you."

Delia immediately stopped her crying, she let go of Rafael's embrace.

"I promise to be calm, I promise I won't bother you. Please find mom's dad, please take them home."

Rafael nodded his head as he kissed Delia's forehead.

"I promise. I'll find them right now. As long as I'm not here, you need to rest well, eat a lot, and don't cry anymore. I'll let you know whenever there's any information about their whereabouts. You have to do that if you want me to bring them back."

Delia nodded her head. Raphael helped his wife lay her body on the bed. The man pulled out a blanket to cover Delia's body.

"I'm leaving now" said Rafael.

Delia clasped Rafael's hand, "you, father and mother must return safely."

Rafael nodded his head as he left Delia.

In an old warehouse, Bethran Markes and Katrina Dowell hold the Laros family. Derry and Emili were knocked unconscious and their phones were confiscated.

A few minutes later, Derry woke up earlier than his wife. Realizing that something was wrong when he found out his legs and hands were tied, he shifted his body toward his wife and tried to wake her up.

"Darling... Emili.

Emili blinked her eyes, she finally realized. The woman was shocked as she looked around the dark warehouse.

"Where are we, my husband?" ask Emili.

"I don't know Emili. Oh my... Why do we trust the man who picked us up?" derry is sorry.

Emili began to fear, "what is this like on television news, we will be killed and taken his organs," he said, sobbing.

"Sstttt. I'm sure Delia and Rafael have realized we're missing. They're gonna save us. For that we have to keep calm so that these kidnappers don't kill us" Derry said.

Emili stopped her crying while nodding her head.

The sound of the barn door opening, someone stepped in and approached Derry and Emili.

"You're aware, apparently," Katrina said, "I was really curious to see the face of the cheap woman who lost her parents" he added.

"Who are you? And what do you mean?" ask Derry.

"Geez, Mr. Laros, you believe in your daughter so much. Do you know, Delia's an actor? He took my fiancee and married her. Damn woman, because of your daughter, I was humiliated. Everyone insulted me and called me a wasted fiance. You just think, how I feel right now," he added.

Derry and Emili go.

"How dare you insult my daughter. Delia was our very good son," snapped Emili.

"Our son could not have been like that, if many were interested in him it was because our daughter was indeed beautiful. Let us go, why are you tying and keeping us here, what is your purpose?" snapped Derry.

Suddenly there was the sound of laughter of a man, the man approached them.

"You made my future in-laws angry with Kate" Bethran said, "I shouldn't have done this to my future in-laws, but there's no other way. I did this to get Delia. You take it easy, we're just making you a means of exchange" he added.

"Who else are you?" ask Derry.

"I'm Bethran Markes om, the man who loves your daughter the most" Bethran replied.

"Ciiihhh... The man who loved my daughter kidnapped her parents, have you gone mad? A cowardly man like you doesn't deserve my daughter" Derry sneered with a laugh.

Bethran was wide-eyed, "fuck it. I'm not a coward, it seems like your tongue should be cut off to keep quiet. But I can't seem to do that, after all you're the father of the woman I love."

"Until we die, we will not be your in-laws. Any man wants a woman this way. You are really cowards" said Emili.

"Ckckck. Don't you want to see your daughter again? If it is like that, I can grant it very easily" Katrina threatened.

"You see this warehouse, this warehouse is very far from the residential area, I'm very easy to burn it without anyone knowing. The choice is yours, you want to die or help our plan" Bethran said.

"We are not afraid of your threats. Do you think our deaths can set you free? You will rot in prison instead" said Derry.

Bethran points a knife at Derry, making Emili scream.

"You're really testing my patience, not just you're gonna die. I'll also kill Rafael and Delia if we can't get them, is this what you want?" threaten Bethran's.

"Never touch my daughter and daughter-in-law" he snapped, "you will regret dealing with the Widjaja family" he added.

"You will feel the consequences of your actions, this is a criminal act. Our daughter-in-law will teach you both a lesson" Emili said.

Katrina let go of her laughter, "you think only the Widjaja family is influential? my family has government and police connections, so it's not that easy to catch us. Think carefully about what your choices are. If you agree to our plan. Tomorrow we'll call them. We also don't want to linger long taking care of the old man like you guys."

Bethran threw food at them.

"You eat, you must live until tomorrow. I don't want to see your bodies before I get Delia" Bethran said.

Bethran and Katrina leave the barn and lock her back up. Emili let go of her cries, while Derry was so angry while trying to calm his wife.

Tyar manages to get information about the man who brought Delia's parents. The man was indeed used to getting paid to commit crimes, the man was a land market thug brother.

Rafael enlisted the help of detectives yesterday to find the whereabouts of the thugs. Meanwhile, the police have also obtained some information from the road cctv.
