Meet Valerie

At David's house.

David looks pensive in his room, he is still thinking about what Alana said about Valerie, his heart suddenly moved to take his cellphone and try to contact Valerie's number. However, the woman's cell phone number was not active to make her clucked irritated and rubbed her face rough.

David returns his phone to its original place, the sound of knocking on the door from outside the room makes him wail, letting the man in. His mother was opening the door of the room.

"Mother ..." David, who was lying down, immediately sat down when he saw his mother enter his room and sit his body on the edge of the bed. Paying attention to the look on David's face and giving a caress on the face of the only son of his puppet.

"David, I asked for what happened today" he said, wiping his son's head.

"No need to apologize, ma'am."

"Mothers... I'm really gonna call off this engagement, right?" ask David to make sure he gets back. The woman who gave birth to him was silent.

"Mom don't know, son. Mom is disappointed with Laurrent and Aunt Nam, especially when she finds out her father is in trouble with the law. But, on the other hand, I'd love to see you married, son.

I want you to get a nice girl who can really understand you, son."

"Mother, if David had a woman of David's own choice, would you still want to betroth David?" tanyanya while holding her mother's hand.

"David, I betrothed you because I know you've never been close to a girl.

Son, you've been everywhere with Ashley and Ken. And ever since Ken got married, you've always been with Ashley. I've never seen you have a lover or a street with you, which I always see Ashley, so I'm scared-"

"Gosh, Mommy... You think David likes same-sex people?" david said, His mother nodded her head.

David rubbed his face roughly with one of his palms. "Mother, David is still normal. Ashley, Kendrick has been a friend and brother to David, they have always been a place to share for me. David is not close to women, because David feels he has not been able to find the right woman, Mom. But now, David thinks he's found it,"

 he said while imagining Valerie's face smiling at him to show her dimples.

"Who is he, son?"

"David still can't tell Mom, because David has to make sure first."

David's mother suddenly took her hand away from her son, and she stood up, making David so surprised to see her.

"Mother..."

"Take him to see Mom. If that woman is good for you, I won't match you anymore." she said as she walked away from there. Between happy and confused, on the one hand David is happy if his mother really cancels his match, but on the other hand, he is still confused about Valerie's feelings.

"Is it true that Alana said Valerie has feelings for me?" muttered. "Tomorrow I'll meet Valerie and ask her everything." David smiled and pulled his body back.

The next morning at David's office,

David went to work. That morning the atmosphere of his office looked so heated, how not, all employees were gossiping about his engagement which was canceled suddenly.

But the man didn't care even if he knew.

Valerie's workbench was David's main destination. However, he saw that the woman's desk was still empty, he decided to go back and enter his work room, no spirit was emanated in the look of the man's face. Her secretary, Miss Yoshie, entered the room with a brown map in her hand.

"Master, this-"

"Yoshie, is Valerie here yet?" not yet finished speaking, David had already recited the woman's words.

"Why? did he take a day off or leave? or is he sick?" ask David.

"No, Mister. Miss Valerie just came here to drop me a resignation letter." Yoshie thrust out the brown map that now made David's ears and eyes so gasp. He immediately grabbed the map and read the resignation letter from the woman.

"Why did Valerie resign?" David stood up and did not believe it. Because, as she knows, Valerie desperately needs this job.

"Say, he's found a new job, sir." Not much to say, David put the map on the table. He took his car keys and left his office.

The car, currently driven by David, drove towards Valerie's house. The speed that he was running as much as possible, made himself arrive at the woman's house in just a matter of minutes.

David parked his car in front of Valerie's yard. He went down and repeatedly knocked on the door by calling the name of the owner of the house, but there was no answer from there.

It had been almost an hour for David to stand there, but he thought Valerie was not home. David when he decided to leave the place, but he was about to get into the car. he saw Valerie was walking with groceries in her hand. His intention was unsettled and immediately approached the woman.

"Valerie, where are you from? I've been looking for you."

"What are you doing here?" ask Valerie.

"Why did you suddenly resign?" ask David.

"I-i. Um, sorry David, I resigned because I've found a job as a public relation, according to my field," he said with a smile.

"You're out just wanting that position? Valerie, I can give you that position, please don't resign."

"Sorry, David. My own friend offered me this job and I accepted it, I don't feel good about rejecting it" Valerie said.

"And just because you accepted the offer, you're so unsettled by the friend standing in front of you right now? the friend who gave you the job first?" exclaim David. Valerie was just speechless staring at her two shoes that were faithfully treading the ground.

"I'm sorry if I let you down, David. Thank you for being kind enough to help me and give me a job, but again I'm sorry, I really can't work at your place anymore, excuse me for going into the house. Better go home!" Valerie passed by leaving David and was about to open the door of her closed house.

"I guess you're really a good person who has feelings!" david's voice stopped Valerie's footsteps from entering the house. David stepped up his legs to approach the woman who was now standing on her back 3 meters away from him.

"You really let me down!"  David pulled Valerie's hand, until the woman's position was facing him.

"Alana told me and told me everything!"

Valerie's eyes were perfectly rounded, she looked so embarrassed.

"I don't know what you're talking about, you better go and go home!"

Valerie spoke as if powerless and immediately parried David's hand, he entered the house and was about to close the door of his house.

"Valerie, don't try to dodge like you're avoiding me right now!" David held back the door that Valerie was about to forcefully close, allowing her to tear down the woman's defenses.

"Actually, what do you want?" valerie snapped with eyes that looked full. Raising his face, until David saw clearly the face of the woman who was now decomposing full of tears.

"Do you like to treat all women like this?"

"You've always been kind to me, treated me well, tried to infiltrate my heart that's still not fully healed?" Valerie regulated her breathing while at a whim.

"David, once I get to know you and get close to you, I can completely forget Ken, I can forget my pain towards Billy. But it turns out you hurt me too." Valerie nodded, Valerie's groceries slipped out of her hands leaving her lying on the floor, she looked down and cried as she could, even her tears had touched the floor she was on.

"If you don't like or expect someone, never give them more attention.  For God's sake, it's really painful." Valerie spoke in a heavy voice, almost inaudible.

David walked one step closer. "I'm sorry, Valerie..."  David pulled the body of the woman who was crying before him at this moment. Letting her cry in her arms until her tears drenched her shoulders covered in the black suit, she really did not know that her treatment had left Valerie so hurt.

"Valerie, I have the same feelings for you."

Hearing the words that were thrown from David's mouth just now, Valerie tried to keep her body away from the man.

"David, let me go... Please get out of here!" valerie's orders.

"Vallery!"

"David, I don't want everyone to think I'm ruining someone else's relationship, please get out of here." Valerie clenched her hands together, the tears flowing from her pointy chin were now falling over her clenched hands.
