#20: Falling in Love

Listening to his mother's words, as if to make Kevin become silent and think what his mother meant to say to him..

In the morning, Kevin had started his activities as usual. And this morning before going to the office, he first came to the hospital where Ivan worked for follow-up control. Upon arrival there Ivan had prepared all the medical equipment he would use to treat Kevin's wounds.

Ivan began to slowly open the bandage wrapped in Kevin's back and then perform wound treatment. The two of them had a conversation with each other and Ivan immediately stopped the treatment of his wounds when Kevin conveyed something to him.

"Next week I will marry a woman of choice from both my parents.. Ivan will you switch roles with me???!! Geez, I don't feel right saying this to you" said Kevin, holding his head with both hands.

"What do you mean you're getting married???!! That fast???", asked Ivan confusedly.

"Yes, everything has been arranged in such a way that I can do nothing more. How was Ivan with my offer???" ask Kevin.

"I think you're completely out of your mind, you seem to have run out of common sense to be able to think clearly" replied Ivan.

"Yes, it seems like I've gone crazy and almost gone crazy thinking about all this. So what should I do Ivan???", asked Kevin.

"If you love and respect your parents very much, accept both of them with a big heart. Even though the reality is that it is very very heavy and difficult for you to live. But surely they will never want to plunge their own children into the abyss" replied Ivan.

For a moment Kevin fell silent and thought with all the words Ivan had spoken to him.

"Your words are true, my friend, in this case I admit your thinking is more mature than mine. But if one day all this I can not afford to live again, live with him and I cut this relationship unilaterally with him because I never loved him, he said, am I wrong in this???", asked Kevin.

"We're both Kevin's grown men, when we're faced with this no one can stand in the way of our decision to take any step. But never crossed your mind, how to feel with the woman who is beside you, can she accept and live all this and what about the response from the neighborhood where she lives with her new status later. You mustn't be selfish Kevin who's only selfish without caring about the feelings of those around you. It is impossible for God to unite the two of you to make a life partner with no purpose in it, even if you never love him. If it happened to me, even a step I would not go home because I was sure my parents would choose my life partner the best woman" replied Ivan firmly.

Despite the difficulty of the question asked by Kevin, but Ivan easily answered it. Once the adult Ivan in making decisions and solving problems, so that makes Kevin just speechless listening to him.

"Try to focus on making your decision" Ivan said.

"I was very guided by Ivan with all this, because in my heart there was still Viola. I don't want the woman I'm going to marry to just have my body without my soul and my heart" Kevin said.

"In this case I cannot say anything, only you can answer your question" Ivan said.

"I think it's getting messy when I remember all this. For me it's a very difficult and complicated decision" Kevin said..

"OK, you've finished your wound treatment" said Ivan.

"Oh.. It's over, we're so engrossed in talking that time doesn't feel" Kevin said, wearing his clothes.

"Kevin, do you know how Dara is doing now??? I was very worried about his condition because his phone could no longer be contacted", asked Ivan.

"Without???!! Did something happen between you guys without me knowing??" asked Kevin suspiciously.

"Nothing has happened between us, but lately I don't know why I remember it" Ivan said.

"Have you fallen in love with her??" asked Kevin.

"To be honest, yes, since I came to Jakarta and met him for the first time at my Tante boarding house" replied Ivan.

"Buddy, how easily did you fall back in love???!", asked Kevin.

"This is not just in love, but I see Dara as the best woman as a wife and mother for my children later. I would be a very lucky man if I could be his life partner" Ivan said.

"Would you have expressed your feelings to her??" asked Kevin.

"I'm not that lucky Kevin because time hasn't allowed me to express my feelings to him. But you're not in love with Dara like I am???!! Because you and Dara have met so many times and so many events that you both have experienced at the same time" asked Ivan suspiciously.

For a moment Kevin was silent when Ivan asked..

"Am I in love with her???!", asked Kevin in his heart.

"Hmmm, am I that stupid to love the same woman as you??? Even if I didn't love Viola, I wouldn't betray my best friend" Kevin assured Ivan.

"Don't forget Kevin a few years ago we both liked the same woman. Our friendship was almost broken because of that" Ivan reminded.

"Kevin if your cousin Windy has gotten the latest news about Dara, please let me know immediately. I miss him so much" Ivan said.

"Well, Ivan.", said Kevin.

For a moment Kevin thought after listening to the expression of his best friend's feelings towards someone the woman he loved.

"Nn. Dara, where are you now??? So many people miss you" Kevin said in his heart.

After control of the hospital, Kevin continued his journey back to the office. Along the way Kevin only thought about all Ivan said, until he did not realize that his phone kept ringing..

"Fring.. Cring.. Cring..".

"Sir Boss, sorry the phone is ringing.!!!", said Mr. Ucup.

"Oh.. Yes, thank you", said Kevin.

Kevin immediately picked up his phone, while Kevin was answering the phone entered instantly he asked Mr. Ucup immediately stop the speed of his car.

"Sir Ucup please stop the car immediately???" Kevin ordered.

Upon hearing the orders from his Boss, Mr. Ucup immediately stopped the speed of his car to the side of the road.

"What???!! Is your investigation wrong??? I ask you to investigate more details and tomorrow after the results report immediately????!!", ordered Kevin.

Kevin is on the verge of disbelief after hearing reports from his men about an investigation into the revenge of his former Secretary. Kevin orders his men to re-investigate.

"What is his motive for doing that??" asked Kevin in his heart.

In a different place, at Dara's residence in Bandung. His extended family began preparing for his wedding to be held next week. Because so sudden this event that everyone began to busy preparing it, except Dara who was not so enthusiastic about her own wedding.

"Son, what kind of wedding dress do you want??" asked Mama.

"As for Mama, I will obey all your orders" replied Dara.

"You're so limp, son, are you sick???" asked Mama.

"No Mam, I'm fine", replied Dara uninspired.

Dara's hand was immediately held by Mama while stepping away to invite Dara to a quieter room..

"Why mom brought me here" asked Dara confusedly.

"Sit down next to Mama.. Mama knows you really object to this match, but if there is a man you love so much Mama will help you to reach for your love" Mama said as she stroked her hair.

"I can't possibly lie to you about this, Mama knew from the beginning I strongly disagree with this matchmaking. But I love you so much and I don't want to make you both disappointed or sad. I am ready for this matchmaking so Mama does not have to worry about me anymore" said Dara while hugging her Mama tightly.

"Either I should be happy or sad about my marriage" Dara said in her heart..

In the evening, when everyone had closed their eyes and slept with the cradle of his beautiful dreams. But unlike Dara who is still awake until late tonight. It was as if his memories tonight were only focused on his former Boss who was none other than Kevin.

"What happened to me, why do I always remember Mr Kevin lately??? Hopefully nothing will happen to him" Dara said.

The longer it felt the more clearly Kevin's face was in the eyes of Dara and every meeting after meeting with Kevin as if everything crossed very clearly in his mind..

"I'll soon be married to a man I don't know, but why is there only Mr Kevin's face on my mind??? Oh my God have I fallen in love with her??" asked Dara confusedly..

Dara was remembered by the words spoken by her best friend Windy.

"Does your heart ache and hurt when you see Mas Kevin hugging Viola??" recalls Dara.

"What do you mean, I've fallen in love with Mr Kevin???" asked Dara..
