#38. Dara's Lies

"The next day I will take a leave to accompany you dear and at the same time make up for all my mistakes with you. I promise I won't be that easy to believe anymore in the words of others" Kevin promised.

In the morning the sun looks brighter after the rain last night. Look tired face of his wife who is still sound asleep in bed.

With an affectionate gaze, Kevin continued to look at his wife. Until the sunlight that is exposed to the cracks of the open window curtain can finally wake the beloved wife from her deep sleep.

"Assalamualaikum, dear", greet Dara with a smile.

"Wa'alaikumsalam, darling!!!", replied Kevin in surprise.

"Mas Kevin why???", asked Dara in surprise.

"Oh, there's nothing dear. How are you doing this morning??? Does your head still hurt???", asked Kevin worriedly while touching his wife's face.

"Alhamdulillah, it's better. Oya Mas Kevin sorry yes I was after the Fajr prayer overslept, so I have not had time to cook for breakfast", said Dara.

"Darling, you don't have to worry about it because this morning I made your favorite meal this morning. Tara, fried noodles are full of love" Kevin said with a smile.

Dara smiled happily at what her husband had prepared for her this morning. It looks like a small table that has been neatly arranged with some sweet food on it.

Dara immediately hugged and kissed her husband's cheek, as a thank you for what he had given her.

"Check just kiss the cheek!!!", said Kevin smiled as he offered a new phone.

Dara's face immediately reddened like an apple after listening to her words and at the same time she received a new cellphone gift from her husband. Seeing his wife's response like that Kevin returned with a smile and hugged his wife.

"Our marriage has been going on for 2 months but why do you still look shy with me???" said Kevin smiling as he pinched his wife's nose.

Dara blushed even more embarrassed by all the treatment Kevin had for her so that she could only give her sweetest smile to her beloved husband.

"I'm so happy to see your smile and your sweet dimples. Are you happy to be married to me??", asked Kevin with a serious face.

Seeing Kevin's very tense face waiting for an answer from him, as if making Dara unable to hold back the ticklish feeling of his stomach so that he laughed amusedly right in front of Kevin. It seemed to make Kevin became sulky, his face began to change to show his regret and just contact Dara then immediately kissed and at the same time hugged her husband as an expression of his love.

The laughter and happiness of the two of them this morning instantly disappeared after Kevin received a call from his mother about the news of his father who was lying in the hospital due to a heart attack.

Kevin was shocked to hear the news until the laughter and happiness that was scratched in the face was fading.

"What's wrong, huh??? Who called you??" asked Dara anxiously.

"The mother who called and said Dad had a heart attack, now he is in hospital" replied Kevin limp.

Seeing her husband's state that looks very shocked, Dara also invited her slowly to sit on the sofa and try to calm her down.

"Patient mas, may Allah SWT always protect and provide healing for Father" said Dara while gently rubbing her husband's shoulder.

"Aamiin, thank you. But I'm sorry baby because I have to go there without being with you" Kevin said.

"Why Mas???" asked Dara.

"At this time you're not well baby, I don't want you to get sick from exhaustion. So let me go there myself" replied Kevin, holding his wife's hand.

"But aren't they in Surabaya??? I also want to come with you to take care of Dad there" said Dara.

"Dear, follow my words" said Kevin as he gently touched his wife's face.

The debate between the two of them seemed to make Dara become silent and slowly Kevin grabbed his wife's waist and hugged her tightly to try to gain her trust again. And then in the end Dara was willing to smile at Kevin as a sign of agreeing with his request.

After the departure of Kevin, now only Dara stay alone at home and this opportunity then Dara is not in vain. Then he called a man he had met yesterday.

"All right, I'll go there now. Thank you", Dara said by phone.

For a moment Dara's heart became very doubtful about the decision she would take, but all of this has already happened and this should indeed be done even though he had to lie to a husband who is very loved.
