After transporting vegetables into the taxi, Zhao Lifei made a mental note to start using his car. He sometimes likes to take a taxi because he doesn't have to drive.
But even though she likes it when others, drop her off, she is very reluctant to hire a private driver.
His grandfather consistently insisted he got it, but Zhao Lifei preferred taxis.
It is always available to him and does not require awkwardness because someone is waiting for you all day, only to realize that he may not be leaving his home.
Halfway to the route, Zhao Lifei decided it might be a good time to visit his grandfather and cook a dish with the new vegetables he was carrying. He told the taxi driver about the change in direction and after seeing him put a hefty tip into the jar, he happily complied.
Zhao Lifei decided to send a message to his grandfather first to warn him that he was coming. Since Zhao Moyao was workaholic, if no one told him to go home, he would probably be buried inside his office.
Fortunately, Li Xuan was always there to remind him of the time. Zhao Lifei's grandmother had died long before she was born, so she had never known the woman.
He sometimes thought his grandfather was very lonely because he was not surrounded by his grandchildren.
But then Zhao Lifei realized that she enjoyed a quiet life more than a hard and cheerful life.
He refused to keep in touch with many of his grandchildren. So far, only three of them have been able to attract his attention. He placed his business above the family, and unless his grandchildren had something to donate to Zhao Corp., he would not let them glance at it a second time.
Zhao Lifei knew half of the reason why his grandfather loved him so much was because he was the youngest in the family to get a decision letter from Harvard's Business School.
Zhao Lifei was only twenty years old when he graduated from college earlier than his peers. Due to his demonstrated ability in handling Zheng Corp. alone when Zheng Tianyi was not around, Zhao Moyao realized there was actually a very important value in Zhao Lifei.
Zhao Moyao had seen Zhao Lifei's hidden potential. Fortunately, he is still young and twenty-three years old, which makes him a very suitable candidate for — training not because he needs a lot.
He was very impressed with his ability.
In the short span of a year, he had increased the value of Zheng Corp significantly in the stock market, something that was almost impossible.
It made Zhao Moyao very curious as to what else he could do. He is very good at keeping an eye on Lifei, but there is one thing he can easily hide from him: his personal investment firm, Feili Corp., which is run by a bait CEO.
"Mom, the front entrance is blocked." The taxi driver nervously told the woman.
Standing upright in all its splendor is a tall and unscaled fence. There was an elaborately designed iron door with extremely high security placed in front of the entrance.
"It's okay, I can handle it from here. Thanks for the ride." Zhao Lifei paid the travel expenses and collected his vegetable bags.
There were four men, two on each side of the high entrance, guarding the door. They were dressed in black from head to toe, with sunglasses, and a cold face of determination. Zhao Lifei knew they were hiding weapons inside their clothes.
He ignored those people and walked over to the private key board. The men did not move, but their eyes silently observed if there was a threat.
It was difficult for people to gain access to Zhao Moyao's main house. Only a handful of people had free access, whereas the rest had to meet him in the second or third mansion. Even Zhao Lifei's own father or other cousins have the freedom to enter and exit the Main House as they please – unlike Zhao Lifei.
"Master Tang, it's been a while." Zhao Lifei smiled as she looked at the familiar butler whose family had served the Zhao family for generations. Since Zhao was an old money that kept wealth for generations, their roots in the country were deep.
The Tang Family had been very close friends with the Zhao family, since a century ago. Their bond is very deep and practically inseparable.
"Indeed, Miss Zhao, it has been quite a while since you visited the main house. As always, there'll be a private driver coming to pick you up."
The front entrance is just the first layer of security.
Beyond it is a long, well-guarded road lined with weapons and hidden people.
Since the road to the mansion was very long, there was always a private driver who would take people from the front door all the way up the hill and into the house.
Just when the butler finished speaking, the gate opened and a black car seamlessly greeted Zhao Lifei. He carefully got into the car. The men in front of him immediately moved to put his groceries into the car.
"Thank you." He warmly told them.
If they were surprised by his words, they did not show it. Instead, the man politely nodded at her and closed the door.
The journey by car to the main house took place quickly and within three minutes, he had already reached the front door. Master Tang was already at the entrance waiting for him with a warm towel in his hand. A small group of servants accompanied him with their heads bowed.
"Welcome home, Miss Lifei." The butler greeted him warmly, offering a gentle smile.
"Yes, it's good to be home." Zhao Lifei lovingly said, laughing to herself at the wonderful memories spent in this house.
"Please, comein. Master Zhao has been informed of your presence and will be arriving soon." The butler guided Zhao Lifei into a spacious and large house.
He beckoned the waiter to bring the groceries to the kitchen. Judging from the amount of food he brought, he thought he might be cooking for Zhao Moyao.
"I'll take your coat and tell the chef to prepare the kitchen for you." Said the butler. He elegantly took Zhao Lifei's coat and then guided her into the living room.
Thank you, Mr. Tang, he said with a bright smile.
Although he had known this man for years, he had always been polite.
It was already in her blood to be this graceful and graceful. She's always been like this, ever since she was a baby.
"Please, Miss Lifei, there's no need to thank me." Mr. Tang had a very liked expression on his face that was usually firm. The servant accompanying him was a new person in the mansion and was quite surprised to see the stiff-faced man who usually had an adoring expression.
