Zhao Lifei was awakened by her familiar ringtone. He glanced at the time and saw it was only 09:00. While groaning and grumbling softly, he wondered why people would not let him sleep!
With sleep weighing heavily on him, Zhao Lifei picked him up on the last ringing. "Hello...?" He groggyly replied, barely able to keep his eyes open.
"Smuck! How could you just lift the last ring? Why not the first or second? I know that little hermit has no life." Yang Ruqin teased, as she always did.
Their friendship is not only built on a strong foundation for mutual support, but also built on constant teasing and joking. Not all friendships are made up of endless praise and flattery. What's so fun doing that?
"I hope that big whiz isn't too lonely to count every ring?" Zhao Lifei tiredly muttered.
"Because this great man became great, he had no trustworthy friends ..." Yang Ruqin pouted, faking a sad tone that made Zhao Lifei laugh.
"I think this big guy wants some company for lunch?" He looked up, calling a taxi nearby.
"Surprisingly, this devourer does not want to eat now. In fact, he wanted to see you at the First Hospital." Yang Ruqin hummed.
"Feng-ge finally woke up yesterday, and I thought it would be ideal if we both visited her." Yang Ruqin said, while getting into her personal driver's car.
Zhao Lifei crossed his arms. "Why should I come?" He was slightly suspicious of Yang Ruqin's tone of voice. Did this woman frame him again?
But it was an unlikely scenario, as Yang Ruqin's older brother was the CEO of the famous Yang Enterprise.
Even if Yang Feng's ancestor crawled out of their grave to beg of him, he wouldn't have attended a blind date, let alone, laughed at the idea.
Yang Feng might be connected to the infusion and barely conscious, but one raised his finger, and Zhao Lifei would be thrown and banned from the top Hospital of the country.
Zhao Lifei doubted her Qinqin would even think of a stupid idea to pair it with Yang Feng.
"You must come because you, my dear, saved her life by donating blood. You are the gift of his savior!" Yang Ruqin said happily, almost laughing at Zhao Lifei's skepticism.
Zhao Lifei sneered. "Grace his salvation? Oh please," she rolled her eyes. "All I did was connect my hand to the needle and give it blood, something that was easily renewed in my body. The doctor who performed the surgery on her did all the important work."
He called a taxi and told the driver the name of the location.
"But you came first." Yang Ruqin added.
"Huh? I came first? What does that mean?" Zhao Lifei's brows furrowed at Yang Ruqin's puzzling words.
Which Ruqin falsifies ******severe disappointment. "Feifei, after all these years at Harvard, I wish you'd come back with a better brain"
"Say the genius who abandoned his perfect violin skill." Zhao Lifei grunted. Before Yang Ruqin became a world-famous supermodel, she used to be a popular violinist. But like Zhao Lifei, Yang Ruqin played the instrument not because she wanted to, but because her parents forced her to.
When Yang Ruqin applied for college, she was immediately accepted into Julliard in New York, but chose another school. Since the college of choice both had outstanding names and degrees, his parents were not against it.
"Touch my darling, touch." Yang Ruqin laughed.
If anyone else had said such words to her, she would have flipped over and insulted them. But this was his favorite Feifei. His words were as sharp as a knife, but when it was said to Yang Ruqin, he had no intention of cutting it, and Yang Ruqin knew that.
"But back to what I said, before someone rudely interrupted me ..." Yang Ruqin blatantly beckoned to Zhao Lifei and if she stood alone, Yang Ruqin would glare at her.
"Don't glare at bad leather seats." Zhao Lifei smiled as Yang Ruqin snorted. He knew his Qinqin very well ...
"I'm not glaring at the chair!" Yang Ruqin was forced, stubbornly crossing her arms like a child caught red-handed for stealing a cake.
Zhao Lifei bit her lower lip to prevent another burst of laughter. He actually wanted to hear how Yang Ruqin could convince him.
"The doctors came second, you came first. Without your incredible type B blood, the doctors would not be able to complete the surgery and save his life! Therefore, you came first, which made you save him." Yang Ruqin triumphantly said, proud of herself for thinking of such a good reason.
Zhao Lifei raised one amused eyebrow. He was too lazy to argue and argue with his friend, so he just followed along.
"All right, all right, I think you're right." Zhao Lifei said like a tired mother. He was still a few minutes away from the hospital while Yang Ruqin had already arrived and boarded the elevator.
"Hmmm, I'm always right!" Said Yang Ruqin. At that moment, his phone rang again. "My mom called. SMS me when you're in the hospital."
"OKAY. See you soon." Zhao Lifei said, hang up.
Since Zhao Lifei did not speed up the taxi driver to get there in less than ten minutes, the man was driving at a normal speed. Sensing it might take longer, she put on earbuds and hummed her favorite song.
'Under the peach tree,
White lotus blooms, Surrounded
by the buds trying to imitate him
The vine pulled him down
A girl in white, a,
wandering in the white field,
A man ran through a black field,
He walked without strength,
He ran like a knight,
A girl in white clothes, walked towards the tree
Pink against white
White versus black
The lotus reached
The vine attacked
A girl in white, a,
A girl in black, her clothes stained in red, her clothes,
Under the peach tree, the,
One lotus blooms, though,
To a pretty girl in white.'
