Seven months later.
Maya's stomach, it's getting squeaky. Doctors estimate she will give birth around next week. The effort he built from scratch, developed well. So, also with its shop on the coast. He said the place was getting crowded with visitors, because it was managed by a rich businessman.
For the past seven months, he's been living in Ansel's apartment. The man, not allowing her to move, with her condition being old pregnant. Their relationship is still the same status as friends. Although, it was obvious Ansel's attention, already exceeded that of a friend.
During work, Maya does not interact directly with visitors to her restaurant. He just came to check the situation and things that need to be addressed. Checking finances, and kitchen materials and necessary items.
Rise up? For several months now, he has been trying out new pieces. Although, it took him a long time who knew when, he could forget everything. Only, one request in the heart, hope that the baby never asks the father. Although, it sounded impossible, but what harm did he expect such a small thing.
This afternoon, he had just returned home with groceries. The last two weeks, Ansel has been staying. So, Maya at least, had to prepare dinner, for the owner of the house.
With great effort, Maya tried to prepare the ingredients in the kitchen. Her stomach was already enlarged, making her movements limited. He could only slowly and little by little do what he did.
The rib meat is already in the marination, pieces of carrots, potatoes, chives and celery are ready. Maya only needs to boil the meat for a while, before cooking with vegetable pieces.
The doorbell sounded. Maya murmured, why did Ansel come home so soon? He stared at the wall clock. Still at four in the afternoon, Ansel was supposed to be home around eight in the evening.
On the doorstep, the middle-aged woman with hair in a modern bun, squinted her eyes. He watched Maya, from her feet and eyes halted, Maya's bulging stomach.
He was shocked with his eyes round and both hands covered his mouth.
"You're pregnant?" Ansel's mother held the throbbing look of her head. He was out of words.
"Sorry, Aunt. You who?" Maya asked politely, though astonished by this woman's attitude.
"Basic son of a bitch! Worth never coming home, he hid you here!" An angry letter emanated from Ansel's mother, making Maya sculpt. Confused to explain, because the woman in front of him had shouted first and barged in.
"Sorry, Aunt. I_"
"How many months?" cut Sherly without stale bases.
"Nine, Aunt. But, _"
"Nine?" repeat Sherly, with the eyeballs almost out of place. Shock and startled, he took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen. One glass of water.
"Tante, you're wrong_" Maya tries to explain, but her sentences are often cut quickly. Well, Sherly's mouth speed exceeds her average speed.
"You're about to give birth and that damn child, is hiding you instead. Why not come home and get married? They hide here!"
"Tante, look. Actually, _" Maya approached one step.
"Huh, already. I don't wanna hear. Now come with Mama home. We're talking about marriage!" Sherly's already pulled Maya's hand, to come along.
"Well! Aunt, wait. Wait, wait!" Maya tries to survive. "You misunderstood. I _"
"Don't argue! Mama's gonna teach you a lesson, that bratty kid!"
"But, Aunt. I'm not a_"
Aaaa.... Maya grimaces in pain.
"Why you?" Sherly panic. He holds Maya's body, which almost falls down.
"Sa-sick, Auntie," Maya says with her stomach.
"What's? Why is the time not right?" Sherly took her phone in a bag. "Patience, dear. Mama called the driver. We're going to the hospital. Fucking son, wife is about to give birth instead of left." Still can curse his son.
"Sick, Aunt." Maya grimaced, even her tears had already fallen.
"Patience, dear. Aunt knows! Can you walk? Just slow down."
Maya nodded and tried to get up, with one of her hands holding her stomach. Ansel's mother on the right side, rubbed her body.
"Brazed kid!" the mother greeted him with harsh words. Fortunately now, his position was helping Maya, otherwise. It might blow a blow.
"Maya, why Ma?" Ansel immediately raised Maya's body.
"Still ask you? Huh! She's giving birth and you left her alone."
"Ma, please take the black bag, in the corner of the room," Ansel asked, ignoring the mother's scolding.
"OK, okay. You go first, Mama's coming."
Along the way, Maya grimaces in pain in Ansel's arms. Sherly who was sitting in the front seat, her position was in the direction of the back kuri.
"Massage her waist, Ansel," Sherly orders. While stroking Maya's hair. "Hold, baby. Any minute. Well, Mama's granddaughter. Patience, pity your mother!"
Ansel and Maya, as if not hearing Sherly's words.
"It hurts, El." Maya tightens her arms.
"Patience, May." For some reason, Ansel felt devastated and tormented. He even cried, without knowing it.
Maya goes straight into the maternity room. The health and position of the baby should be checked first.
"What about my doctor's daughter-in-law?"
"He must be operated. One of the babies, wrapped around the umbilical cord."
"Do it!" ansel's orders.
"Good, doctor. Here's the document, please sign."
Ansel and her mother, sitting in anxiety, were in front of the operating room. They were silent, even the mother did not question at all, about the girl who lived together with her son. Concerns, for the safety of the mother and baby, overpower Sherly's curiosity, about Ansel and the girl's life.
"The baby, it's safe. Please, father to accuse!"
The nurse let Ansel in. And the man who had from the beginning called himself the father for the children of Maya. Without hesitation, step foot in.
Ansel's mother, who had already misunderstood, also accompanied the son. Happiness mixed with haru, when the cries of two babies coloring the room.
Ansel did not immediately meet the two babies, who were still crying.
"Thank you, May. Thank you, for sticking around." One kiss landed on Maya's forehead.
Haru, happy, at the same time pathetic. If only, the sentence came out of Zamar's lips. Maya will squash a hug. However, he was only able to nod his head, with tears welling up.
Ansel approached two tiny babies. Staring with tears.
"It's dad." A short and dense word with a firm meaning. From now on, until later, Ansel will be their father.
The sound of Adzan was reverberating, for two babies of different sexes.
Maya feels claustrophobic. She cried in the arms of Ansel's mother. Adhan's voice was so sweet, as if tore his fragile heart.
Two newborn babies into the world, should have listened to the sound of the Adhan the first time, by his father. However, Maya can only hold lara in the heart.
Nine months, he hoped there would be a bit of a miracle. However, all the dreams are left behind.
A villa, standing firmly on the beach. A building built on the love of his wife. The building is a sign that everything is finished.
