Not Just Love

Not Just Love
Chapter 7. Maybe it's better

Morning's approaching. The noise in the boarding house, making Maya wake up. He felt dizzy and nauseous, plus his stomach was very sore. Last night, he took pains to finish his meal. Today, I don't know what breakfast he has to eat. Because, the refrigerator and other materials in the kitchen, are still empty.

Luckily, the boarding location was very close to the merchant. Some sell various cakes, mixed rice and others. Every morning, the students would look for breakfast, in this place.

Maya drags her steps, towards the window. He peeked out. Looks like the residents of the boarding house, are gathering in front. They laughed and talked for nothing.

Maya chooses to enter the bathroom, while waiting for them to disperse. Not ashamed, of his present condition. Rather, not wanting to hear insults. Moreover, many of those who were envious, would further corner him.

At eight o'clock in the morning, Maya looks fresher. Although, his face was still puffy. After, spending the night thinking, Maya finally made up her mind. He could not get money in a short time, let alone his pregnant state. Sooner or later, it will be known to many. So, he will choose a temporary leave, while working to collect money. He is optimistic, with a decision that he thinks is very right.

In front of his boarding room, slowly sounded lonely. The girls who gathered, seemed to have dispersed themselves. Maybe this is a good opportunity to go out and buy breakfast.

"Sir Maya? When's Maya coming?" asked the short-haired girl, who had just come out of her room.

"Every night. I came to take care of my things" Maya replied to the girl who was her junior at the college.

"Well, Maya wants to move? Doesn't she live in an apartment?"

Look, this girl alone, knows where Maya lives. So, going is the best way, Maya thought.

"really. Because, I don't live here anymore, so the stuff wants me to pick up."

"Oh! Fine, Brother. I'm going to college, yeah!" The girl, smiled before finally leaving.

Maya rushes to buy a pack of rice and cake, not forgetting the mineral water in the stall. Because today, he doesn't have a college schedule. He will take the time to clean his things and clothes.

All his clothes were back in his suitcase and bag. Pillows and blankets, he had wrapped in a substation, which he deliberately stored first.

Maya doesn't know where to go, for sure, she wants to go as far as possible, in a place that no one knows her. He will finish all his business first, before leaving.

At 11 p.m., Maya again ate the rest of her breakfast this morning. A packet of rice, which he did not spend and the rest of his cake, which is still there.

Finished, he hurriedly dressed. He has to go to college, take care of the administration of leave. To the orphanage to say goodbye, all of you visit the graves of his parents.

"You sure you want a vacation? Half a semester's left and you'll graduate. Why are you quitting now?"

If he has, another option. No way, he made such a difficult decision for her. One step left, and he had to stop halfway.

"Sorry, Sir. I have a personal business. Maybe, next year I'll be back."

Either Maya is sure, next year or next year, which is obvious, she just wants to raise the money and raise the baby.

"Yes, already. I won't arrest you. Here's the document!"

"Thank you, sir."

Maya says goodbye. One or two steps, he stopped staring at the grassy courtyard and the shady tree in front of him. Many students sit under a tree, gathered to do tasks while telling stories. Maya will miss this and much more, which she will miss later.

Without excuse, her tears had already fallen. Along with a sense of tightness in his heart. He is not willing, but willing at what, when he has no other choice.

Why should I meet you? Maybe, I'll be fine, if we never meet.

"Assalamu'alaikum, ma'am," in Maya, in front of the door.

"Waalaikumsalam," answered someone from the inside, who then opened the door. "Who's looking?"

Maya watches the woman in front of her. Looks foreign. "Mother Lisa, is there?"

"My mother is on medication abroad. You who?"

Apparently, Lisa's mother's son. But, to Maya's knowledge, this girl is married and follows her husband, moving out of town. And one more thing, Lisa's mother, is seeking treatment abroad. In fact, the financial condition of their families, it is not possible. What's been going on these three years?

"I'm Maya. I used to, have lived here."

"May? You're the future wife of the Nine Group's owner?"

Maya just smiled awkwardly. Even this woman, knew her status.

"Come in."

Maya sits on the sofa, with a wide view. Nothing has changed from this place, it was all the same three years ago.

"I just wanted to see my mom, because for three more years, I never came home."

"Mother has been sick for a long time, so I replaced her for a while. He told me to stop sending money. There are already donors, who give a fee every year."

"Thank God, then." Actually, Maya had another purpose. That is, find out about Riko. But, because Lisa's mother doesn't exist. He also undoes his intentions, because the woman in front of him, must not know anything.

Out of the orphanage, Maya heads to her parents' grave, with an online motorcycle taxi. Vehicles at affordable prices and can shorten travel time.

The sun is still very hot, even though the time is already two in the afternoon. The atmosphere of the cemetery, was also very quiet. Maya covers her head, with a black scarf, which she carries. His footsteps stopped, staring at the two mounds of earth, which were filled with a sprinkling of flowers.

Wh who? He muttered, then ran small, approaching.

Two of his parents' graves, covered in flowers. It seems, it has been a while, visible from the dried and withered petals of the flower.

"Assalamu'alaikum, ma'am." Maya touches the mother's tombstone.

"Did someone come to see mom? He must be a good man, for giving a lot of flowers." Maya takes a handful of flowers, then sprinkles them back.

"Mother." Maya's throat was already choked, defeated by the tears that had already dripped first. He was unable to continue his sentence, due to the crying sound coming out from his lips.

"Mom, what should I do, ma'am? Hix, hyx, hyx. If I go, what about you? I'm tired, ma'am."

The sound of Maya's cry, which was so stifling and poignant. Anyone who sees it will cry.

"Where should I go, mom? I don't have anyone else." The melt of tears, now falling on the flowerbed. "Mother, please forgive me. I promise I'll be back, bringing my mother's granddaughter. I promise I'll be fine. I'll try." Maya raises both hands, offering a prayer for the mother, who has been lying down for a long time.
