Not Just Love
Chapter 24. They're my grandchildren

After a long drama in the hospital. Sherly, finally going home, with a note to be back tomorrow morning, with the needs of her daughter-in-law. Maya is her daughter-in-law. Decisions she made herself, without asking her husband or son for an opinion.

Saphira and the father, went to great lengths to persuade the mother, to go home. Of course, with the help of Ansel and Maya.

Now in the bedroom, which is dominated by cream and white. Sherly has changed clothes and is ready to go to sleep.

"Ma, I have something to say."

"Say, Pa. Don't make any small talk."

Raksa cleared his throat, "this is about Maya."

Hearing her daughter-in-law's name, Sherly sits sweetly on the bed.

"Maya, why?"

The Raksa did not answer. He pulled the body of the wife, to get closer. Then, hold both hands.

"Maya's not actually Ansel's girlfriend, Ma. The girl, named Maya Ilhamndari. Maya who Mama tells Fira every day."

"I-I mean, Papa. He_ Haah!" Sherly's eyes are fiddling. "But why are you with Ansel? The girl disappeared and Zamar married someone else. What I heard last, Resti said Zamar's fiancee died suddenly."

"Ansel accidentally found it."

Flowing Raksa's story, according to what he heard, from his son. The young girl, desperate and suicidal. Fortunately, the son was there and helped him.

"So, you all know her, except Mama?" Sherly pointed at him. Shock due to embarrassment, already considers Maya his daughter-in-law.

"I thought Mama knew him. Because all this time, Mama kept talking about the girl."

"Who would recognize him, if his appearance had changed. After all, Mama only saw the girl once, at the engagement." Sherly's voice was rising, emotion from feeling blamed.

"Mama don't be angry." Give a hug, so that the atmosphere does not heat up. "Ansel felt sorry for him, so did Papa. Ansel hoped, Mama would accept it for a while. He has no one."

Sherly let go of the husband's embrace. Walking back and forth like an iron.

"So, Zamar did not want responsibility and left the girl. They did not cancel the engagement, so as not to be known. Then, marry a classy girl. You're a brash!"

Expectations Raksa, faded already. He thought the wife would refuse or be angry. Quite the contrary, he discussed the matter of Zamar with emotion.

"But why did Resti say that the girl died? Ah, briefly. Mama understood." Talk to yourself and answer yourself. Raksa only watched his wife, without commenting.

"Well, Mama will accept them. But, those babies are my grandchildren."

"Yes, they're Mama's grandchildren. Now, we're sleeping."

"Papa sleeps alone, Mama's going to Fira's room."

As usual, Sherly will be looking for her daughter to chat with. Mother and child are one frequency, if you've been talking about Maya or other things, as long as it's curious.

"You haven't slept, have you?" Sherly came in and sat on the bed.

"Yet, Ma. Why?"

"You're!" Sherly pinned her daughter's head. "Maybe, don't tell Mama she's Maya."

"Sister, that's forbidden." Fira stroked his head.

"You're on your brother's side?"

"Yes, yeah. Sorry." Fira seduced in the hands of the mother.

"You're not curious about Maya? The girl, hasn't told me about the reason she was dumped."

"Mama, you know where she's been dumped?"

"Ansel is the story. She asks Mama to accept Maya, stay here for a while, until both of Mama's grandchildren are big enough."

"Grandson?"

"Yes. On campus, Sandra was like a fairy godmother. Cih, it turns out, he's a poisonous snake." Fira grieves, fed up, while remembering Sandra's kindness to Maya.

"But something is strange. Ansel said he met Maya, two weeks before the wedding. But, _" Sherly gave a thick colored paper, to her daughter.

"This?" Fira read the thick, square-shaped paper, which her mother gave her.

"Try paying attention! No, weird?"

"Yes, Ma. How can? Meaning, Zamar didn't want to marry Maya in the first place, but Sandra."

"Oh, I swear, Mama was curious. Later, if Maya, it's better, we ask."

"OK, okay. Fira was curious too."

"Tomorrow we'll go to the hospital. Mama's bringing food for him."

"Fira too, Ma. I want to see my cute voice." Fira tightened her body, as if something had just crossed her mind. "Ma, tomorrow. We have to examine the faces of two of Mama's grandchildren, who looks like? What about like a sister?"

"That's better, if they look like your brother."

"If it looks like Zamar, how? Long affair, Ma."

"Anyway, Ansel said, Zamar did not want responsibility and did not admit that Maya's son was his. So, business is done. If he suddenly shows up, Mama kicks him. It's delicious, come over, take it."

"Yes, tuh, Ma. Khaira and Khaysan are Mama's grandchildren. But, it's better, if you marry Maya."

"Good, why?"

"So my granddaughter, not anywhere. He lives with us. Mama doesn't want to, our house is like a grave. Waiting for your sister to get married, maybe you're wearing a stick."

"yes too. Later, Mama talked to your sister."

Two women of different ages, sleeping in bed. The lights were turned off, but they were still telling stories. Giggling, in the dark.

"What's up, sister?" maya asked, as the nurse kept watching her, as if to ask or confirm something. Maya remembers, Marsya's doctor's message to her.

"No, Ma. It's okay." The nurse nodded and did not dare to look.

"Don't misunderstand, sister. I'm a cousin of Dr. Ansel, from the village. My husband, so TKI's overseas."

"Yes, Mom. Sorry."

The baby boy is already slumbering, now it's the baby girl's turn to suckle. The nurse put the baby boy in a box, set his sleeping position and covered him.

"I'll put him to bed myself. Thank you for helping."

"Together, Mom. Excuse me."

Since her family came home, Ansel resigned to work. Yeah, he's on the night shift, in the ER. So, she asked the nurse to accompany Maya.

"Khaira, very hungry, huh? The hum!" elus-elus, petite cheek of the princess.

Maya feels very lucky to meet Ansel. The foreign man, who had originally only ordered a cup of coffee, now had it. Without Ansel, he's somehow now. Perhaps, drowning or living life in a tavern alone.

Now, the Ansel family accepted her, without questioning her status. Although, there was a surprise from having to meet Saphira. The jutek and spoiled girl, who always bullied, insulted and judged him, every day.

Unexpectedly, the world was really narrow. He avoids people who recognize him, but instead meets without guessing.
