Only Substitute Women

Only Substitute Women
Harris's Concerns

"Where am I? am I still alive?" shakila sighed shortly after the woman woke up.

Maya did not answer. The middle-aged woman was still waiting for the doctor who was checking on Shakila.

"How, Doc? is everything okay?" ask Maya, I can't wait.

The doctor slipped a big smile and nodded his head.

"Everything went well. Miss Shakila's body received the liver donor very well. Now it's just recovery, as I explained before" said the doctor with a smile that never faded.

"All right, Doc! thank you very much!" Maya wiped the happy tears from the corner of her eyes.

"Then let us go out first, Nyoya!" the doctor moved out, after Maya nodded her head.

"Ma, where am I really? am I in heaven? but why isn't this place like the paradise I imagined it to be?" Shakila returned to voice.

"You're alive, son? you really are alive. You are still given the opportunity to live by God. At the right time, you get a liver donor" said Maya with happy tears dripping down her cheeks.

"Mom, don't joke! I know, if Mama says that, just wants to make me happy, right? now I'm sure that I'm not in the world anymore" Shakila's voice sounded very weak.

"Mama's not kidding, Kil. For something like this, how can Mama still make it as a joke. You really have gotten a donor and now you should not move carelessly, because maybe you will feel saki. So you have to wait patiently, so that everything goes well.

Shakila suddenly moved a little and immediately grimaced because she felt pain in the chest.

The woman touched the part of her chest that was still covered by bandages.

"Ma, so this is really happening? I've got a liver donor?" shakila screamed with tears flowing.

"Yes, son, you will be healed" Maya said.

Shakila smiled and circulated her gaze in all directions, in search of someone's whereabouts. Who else would he be looking for if not Arjuna.

"Sir Juna accompanied the Carnations, because the Carnations were treated here as well" said Haris who understood what Shakila was doing.

"A-Anyelir why? don't tell me she donated her heart to me?" Shakila suddenly trembled. "Don't tell me she had to sacrifice her fetus, because she wanted to save me? I really won't be able to live quietly if that happens" Shakila continued.

"No, he didn't donate his heart to you. At first he did want to do it, but Kak Arjuna managed to prevent it. He was treated, because of the soy sauce alone and a lot of thought" Haris explained.

Shakila breathed a sigh of relief. But the look of his leg face only lasted for a while, because suddenly there was a sense of tightness that he felt once he remembered the words of Haris, on the part of Arjuna managed to prevent Carnations.

"It turns out he really loves Carnations. He cares more about Carnations than I do. Though my life could hardly be saved anymore," from the corner of Shakila's eyes again flowed a clear liquid, as clear as a crystal and hurriedly he ca.

"Have, you don't think too much first! now you rest, baby!" Maya re-opens her voice, understanding what Shakila is feeling now.

"Until when will I be in the hospital, Ma?"

"Say the doctor, you may be able to go home about 2 weeks after the operation is carried out. But not able to move as usual. You need to check your heart routine, for a few months, to avoid any side effects. So, you have to be patient, son?" Maya gently stroked Shakila's hair.

"Ma, can I ask you something again?"

"May, of course I can" said Maya, with a smile that never fades.

Maya, instantly speechless. His throat was like it was stuck, so to swallow his own saliva was also very difficult.

"Emm, for now Mama can't tell you. But, Mama promised, once you've gotten better, you'll tell me who it is,"

"Why, Mama can't tell you now? how am I supposed to calm down if I don't know and haven't thanked that person yet?"

"Son, please understand. You're just getting a liver transplant, and you're still recovering. Mama doesn't want to just say thank you to that guy, you're desperate to get off your bed. Mama doesn't want that to happen," Maya reveals the reason, gently.

Actually it's not just because of the reason just revealed by Maya, making the woman still a secret, about Radit. However, the middle-aged woman does not want the princess to meet Radit while the man is still misunderstood and Maya also does not want Shakil to feel very guilty, thus slowing her recovery.

Meanwhile, Haris was only a listener to two different women of that age.Although there was actually something he was waiting for, out of Maya's mouth.

"Now you sleep again, baby! you must restore your condition. I promise you, if you're really gonna tell me who the donor is,"

Maya again stroked Shakila's hair. Shakila closed her eyes again.

After a while, Haris stood up from where he was sitting and looked towards Shakila to ascertain whether the woman had slept or not.

"Tante Maya, when did Aunt come out to Shakila if Anyelir was her twin sister? Does Aunt plan to hide it forever?" asked Haris, after confirming that Shakila had gone back to sleep.

"What are you talking about? why do you have to talk about it here?" Maya panics and turns to Shakila, afraid that her daughter has not fallen asleep.

"Why not talk about it here? I'm sure Shakila's asleep. I'm just making sure, does Auntie have any plans to tell you the truth, or will she keep it hidden?"

"Why are you interfering too much with that?you have absolutely no right to that?" maya's eyes began to show annoyance.

"I have no rights, but Auntie don't forget that Anyelir is my sister-in-law. So, I have an obligation to protect their marriage" Haris said, relaxing.

"What do you mean?" Maya cringed her forehead.

"I think Auntie knows what I mean. I don't want Shakila to want Arjuna back to her, because she feels she's healed. I do know that Shakila is a good woman, and she has said that she is sincere and wishes Kak Arjuna and Anyelir happiness. But, to be honest, I'm still worried that the word came out of his mouth just because it was, like, before, he already has no hope of living again and will change after he feels that he is healed and deserves to get Arjuna back. At least, with him knowing that Anyelir is his own sister, there is hope that he can be truly sincere," said Haris at length and without pause.

"No. For the time being, I don't want Shakila to know. I beg you not to tell him?" Maya is panicking.

"Why? what is Aunt afraid of? Is Aunt afraid that later the big family of the late husband Aunty know that the real Aunt will be hated and expelled?" Haris' eyes squeaked, suspicious.

"No! that's not what I'm afraid of. I'm not afraid of being hated by my late husband's extended family. I am not afraid of falling poor. What I feared the most was that I was hated by Shakila and assumed that I had separated her from her mother and sister. The only thing I was most afraid of was losing Shakila. Fuck the treasure" said Maya, accompanied by sobs.

For a moment Haris was at a loss for words from feeling sorry for Maya.

"Tante, I understand what Aunt is afraid of. But, will Auntie later not feel guilty, if there is a dispute between sister just because of a man?"

Maya suddenly fell silent, unable to answer at all, because what Haris said was true.

"Son Haris, I know that you're very worried about your brother's relationship and Carnation getting a nuisance from Shakila. But, I already know Shakila. Although she is not my flesh and blood because this hand raised her from her baby. I know and I'm pretty sure that she'll never do what you're afraid of. Even if she's healed, I'll make sure that Shakila won't take Arjuna from Carnation. You must believe my words!"maya, with a very confident face.

Without them realizing that the real Shakila had not fully fallen asleep, had heard the talk of her mother and Haris. From the corner of the woman's eyes now flowed tears.
