OUR EARTH

OUR EARTH
CHAPTER 22 "The Fire of the Pine Forest"

Cici cici cuit cuit kukuruyuk, the sound of birds chirping and chicken kokokokan welcome the arrival of morning. The five of us were awake and had finished performing our duty of dawn prayer. The sun gradually brings out its rays. The morning atmosphere welcomes the universe.

This holiday activity, the five of us intend to go to a Curug located in my village. Curug in my village is called Antap tourism. It is located around the pine forest slightly up to the Mountain. Because the location is indeed in nature, making the atmosphere there to be cool and beautiful.

Now my friends and I are ready to go. Carrying the backpack that has been prepared by the five of us. Me and my friends then say goodbye to my Mom and Dad.

"Sir Ma'am, I'm karo sing liyane hiking Curug Antap diit ya (Pak Bu, I'm the same as others hiking to Curug Antap first yes)," said I while greeting my mother's hand.

"Iya sing ati-ati, ben bag mom wis denggar sawijining hand of bekel nggo koko on (iya careful, every bag mom has put some bekel food for you)," the message while telling.

"Halah matursuwun sanget Ibu ne alam, dadi ngerepoti (thanks a lot Mother Nature, so troublesome)," said the Budi happy when checking into his bag. But she wasn't very nice to my mom either.

"Hush what is rich Bud mengapa wae (hush what is rich Bud to anyone)," he said.

Si Budi just chuckled while closing the zipper of his bag back.

"Matursuwun Ma'am. Mom and good pisan (thank you Mom. His mother is very good)," said the Frank also while praising.

"Matursuwun Ma, I am the most understanding mother (thank you Mom, I understand the most)," I also praised while giving my thumbs up.

"Matursuwun (thank you) Ma'am," said the Sinta and Clara together. My friends were so happy to get a share of food from my mother.

"Yes on (yes equally)," my mother replied with a smile.

"Donce gone, aja kelalen afternoon ne fishing karo pak (sana depart, do not forget the sore fishing with the father)," asked my father while reminding.

"Yes, sir" I replied.

"Yes, we're saying goodbye. Assalamualaikum," said my message while greeting my Mother and Father. My friends also regretted it after me.

"Waalaikum greetings" replied my Mother and Father

The five of us started holding our bags back then walked through the village and searched through the times. After my departure, at home my mother was angry again at my father for taking me fishing.

"Father e kowe ngajaki alam karo batir-batir e angkan what (Bapake you ngajak Alam same friends fishing what)?" ask her in a dislike tone.

"Who is it?" the answer turned to ask.

"Bae fishing your work (fishing your work)," my mother replied.

"Ana the tournament mike afternoon, lamon I won mbok quite (there is a tournament later in the afternoon, who knows I won quite enough)," he said while sipping his coffee.

"Yes nek win ora aja mengeh (yes if you win if you don't go fishing again)!" his tirade was a little threatening.

"Yes yes nek win also duite nggo Ibu e, mulane dongak na kon win aja bada budu bae (yes yes if you win also the money for this Mother e, and, so pray that I will win do not nag)," he replied and told my mother to pray.

"Yes wis," he said agreeing with a sharp tone.

"Sing sincerely," led my father with a small laugh.

"Yes" he answered.

"May Bapake win the tournament mengke (later) afternoon," plead him on the one above while raising both hands.

"Aamiin," answered my father.

"Wis does not live sit gene biyung ngepet lombok (dah does not live first to the house of the mother of hot peppers)," he said.

"Yes wis nganah, the father of rep continued medang karo nyeruput coffee sit (yes it is there, the father wants to continue medang while shaving coffee first)," he replied.

My mother left my father alone. My father really enjoyed his coffee and the dish of serabi that my mother bought earlier in the market.

After 30 minutes of walking we finally arrived at Curug Antap. The river greeted the five of us. This tour is a pretty rame. Family, friends and even people who are dating are also here. They all fill their holidays with water play or just a walk around the Curug area.

"Hayu photo ning duwur (figure above)," invite me to friends.

"Hayu hayu." All the enthusiast agreed while nodding simultaneously. The five of us headed to the middle of Curug and took pictures.

"Siji loro telu, check rec!" After the five of us were photographed together, we went to sit on some rocks in Curug.

"In dereng dereng place e rada medeni ya (look-look at the place a little scary yes)," said Budi suddenly while looking around.

"It is quite medeni because the edges of the forest mulane kudu ati-ati mbok ijig-ijig ana ula liwat (yes quite scary because the edges of the forest so must be careful to fear suddenly there is a snake passing by)," my timpal.

"But it's quite a rame, yes" said the Sinta. He could say that, because he saw many people above even some who had just arrived as well.

"Nek Setu Sunday through the rame (if Saturday Sunday is more rame again)," I said.

"What's the matter (what's the matter)?" ask Clara, curious.

"Ana (there) is a bazaar" I replied.

"Ora said (not said)," said Budi suddenly while pushing me. I was surprised and because of the slightly strong impulse of the Guts, I almost fell into the water. Fortunately, I can compensate.

"What is it?" ask me to look at Budi.I then justify my sitting position.

"Yes donge meng ngenehe Sunday wae (yes should be here Sunday only)," he replied a little regretfully.

"No," I said glancing at Frank.

"Safrank!" the other said together while staring at Frank.

"Yes about the Sunday night ngesuk me arep back sit dadi ra can (yes if tomorrow I want to go home first so can not)," he said.

"Hemm pisan pisan must be a delicious treat (very dear hemm must be a lot of delicious food)," said the Budi feeling disappointed.

"Wis ra do not be sad, as hard as maning nek esih delehi opportunity (don't be sad, tomorrow again if still given the opportunity)," I said.

"What is it about ko bali arep ana (what do you want to go home for)?" I switched to Frank.

"Mbuh (don't know)," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"Lah piwe (how)" I said, scratching my head because I did not understand.

Fifteen minutes have passed and if it is enough for us to play here. The five of us went to the dressing room to change clothes. Because our clothes were exposed to water.

When all was done, we went home on foot. Fortunately we were before the change, we had eaten the food that my mother prepared. That way the five of us had enough energy to walk back. We decided not to cut off the road and chose to walk on every section of the small highway.

...🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲...

In the middle of the journey we passed through a wide expanse of rice fields with towering mountains of Pine forest. Suddenly I saw a thick steam coming from the forest. The more I noticed there seemed to be a flame from inside. I asked my friend to make sure my vision was right or wrong.

"Well, white kae graze ning mountain udu fire (those friends are white billowing in the mountain instead of fire)?" I suddenly stopped the other steps. After that, I pointed directly at the mountain. All the eyes of the friends so go to the mountain as well.

"Mbuh Lam but rich yes (not know Lam but it seems to be)," replied the Budi unsure.

"Eh eh kae wong-wong on mlamayu mlamayu mengjero base Pinus ana what yes (eh uh that's the people on the run into the pine forest what is it?)?" point Frank in the front. There were a lot of people running towards the Pine forest.

"What really?? aja aja (don't-don't).." thought I'm the no-no.

The five of us looked at each other "FOREST Fires" said the five of us together.

"Gian gian (hunt) I'm curious," asked Budi impatiently.

"Eh uh sir stop sit I rep takon (eh uh sir stop first I want to ask)," intercept me to someone I happen to know.

The man stopped and I asked him directly. "Ana what sir mis deneng rame pisan (what is Mr Mis kok rame once)?"

"Ana fire lam ning jero kana (there is a fire Lam inside)," he replied while pointing into the forest.

"Yes sir" I replied.

The five of us thoughtlessly followed the father into the forest. Arriving at the location of the fire we were surprised to find the fire that had spread to other parts because the location of the fire was far from the road, making firefighters difficult to extinguish the red whiz. The land area of 1 hectare was exhausted by it.

All I know about the people around me. The fire started from one of the people who was cleaning the leaves there, because the area is actually being made for corn kebon. The landowner is collecting leaves and grass marks that are successful in his chronicle. Once it is collected, the landowner burns the garbage. Because of a problem, he finally returned to the house that was right under the Pine forest.

The longer the fire was getting bigger and managed to make the burning leaves blurred carried by the wind to touch the trees around it. Little by little, fires occurred. The fire was known because there was one who saw a lot of steam around the forest and immediately checked it because of suspicion of anything happening.

"Weh tengan tengan fire ne anu ra in deliberately anyway (weh turned out to be the fire anu accidentally anyway)," said I after accidentally hearing the story of the residents on the location.

"Yes the owner of e kepeksan ninggal na rubkar e because dawe kenche kenche ro wis bedug aboute, dadi bali (yes the owner had to leave the garbage leaves because he was hungry as it was noon, because, so go home)," said the wrong person there explaining.

"It's rich kuwe (like that)," I said understand.

"Hem kudu ati-ati kie mengganah e so that ra incident maning (hem kudu carefully this in the future so as not to happen again)," said the Sinta.

"Yes. Hayu back, Mr. Police ne wis teka (come home, the police officer has arrived)," asked me after seeing police officers coming to the location.

"Yes," said the others.

Five of us left the fire site. We left the site after the fire was extinguished with the help of local residents. Sometimes we help for a while. It was also reported that the land owner had been taken to the police station for interrogation related to this matter. The residents also disperse and do their activities again.

Well friends remember yes if we are in the forest and want to light a fire. Don't leave it out once in a while. Because we do not know the fire will spread or not to the surrounding area. So it needs to be guarded and monitored carefully. And if you want to be extinguished make sure the fire is completely extinguished yes.

...🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟...

In the afternoon at the fishing area.

The five of us have moved now. The five of us with my father were in a fishing tournament held in the next hamlet. Many people from other regions took part in this fishing race.

'WELCOME THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE FISHING TOURNAMENT OF 2023.' A large banner greeted us all into the area.

My father had prepared his fishing gear perfectly. Starting from the hook, bait and bucket are also ready. The others have already started fishing. So did I, my Father and my friends.

"Hayu pak balang na pancingan ne, sing liyane on wis koh (ayo Pak throwing his fishing rod, the others on already)," asked me.

"Yes patient Lam father again warming sit," he replied.

"It is suwe ne (for long)" I lamented.

"Punten Bapake Alam kiye wis start mbok (sorry Father Nature has started what has not)?" ask the Budi for confusion.

"Wis Bud, hayu lah balang na pancingan ne (already Bud, let's throw the fishing rod)," I replied while telling him.

"Jan Pakku wis senggane warming ne, rhino means sit ritual (Pak already dong warming it up, until the event there is a ritual first)," quipped me while throwing my bait.

"Kon olih Lam (so that Lam can be)," he replied as he stretched his fingers.

"Yee nek ora olih means durung ne Pak (yee if not dapet means not yet his windfall sir)," said I while tying bait to the fishing rod.

"Kon olih koh men Your mother seneng ra ngeresula maning (so that you can koh so that your mother is happy not to snack again)," he said.

My father started throwing his hook after the ritual was over. With worm bait that had previously been sought by him first.

"Lam I ra melu ya ning warung bae karo Sinta (Lam I'm not coming ya wait at the stall just the same Sinta)," permission Clara to us suddenly.

"Why Clar?" ask me.

"That's ...," point the Clara towards the object being held by the Frank.

"Ah kie." The Frank realized then idly showed the worm that was in his grip towards Clara.

"Ish Frank." The slightly irritated Clara finally patted Frank's hand, causing the worm she was holding to fall to the ground.

"Yes wis nganah (yes it is there)," I said permitting.

Clara and Sinta finally decided to cover and went to the stall to wait. Occasionally the two of them get bored waiting to go around the fishing area to look around.

While my Father, I, Budi and Frank are still waiting for the fish to grab the bait from us. On the sidelines waiting for the fish to come, the four of us heard two people who were chatting about the forest fire.

"Pak Jo Pine forest sing ning (who's on) mountain fire counter huh?" tanyakanya.

"Iya miki (tadi) on the rame-rame deleng," he replied.

"Yes, I even know miki sekang Pak Bau (yes, I even just knew it from Pak Dusun)," he said.

While on our side.

"What the hell is going on with the fire, Lam (what the hell am I hearing about the fire, Lam)?" ask my father while throwing his fishing rod and sit down.

"Yes Pak miki pas I bali sekang Curug ana fire ning mount cons (yes sir was just when I came home from Curug there was a fire in the counter mountain)," I replied.

"Lah jar I understand (i think you know)," I said while looking at him.

"Ora Lam the father of sedina kiye golet worm ning ngulon gene nine mu (gak Lam the father of the day is looking for worms in your grandmother's house)," he explained.

"Oh," I replied.

"What's the big fire?" tanyakanya.

"Lumayan Bapake Alam," replied the Budi while confirming his position.

My father was just a beard and suddenly the hook moved itself marked with fish exposed to the bait. "Eh uh olih what kiye, ' said my father surprised.

"Junjung Pak pull on," asked me enthusiastically.

Sure enough when the Dumbo catfish pull is quite large managed to catch it. "Prep the father to," I said giving a thumbs up at him. "In kilo sir," tell him.

Then my father called the committee and told him to take the catch. "How much Sir?" ask my father to the committee.

"10 kilos" he answered.

"Wih mantep pee," I said in amazement.

After a few hours we attended the tournament, it was time to announce the winner. Unexpectedly it turns out my father was nominated for the second champion. Yes, but the second champion we are all very happy. After my father received the prize money and the fish he caught, we all went home happy and satisfied

"Assyik e I'm definitely an iki-sniff," he muttered happily.

"Bapakku beee jago ne" I'm proud.

"Keren Bapak e Alam," praised the Budi as well.

"Your father is great Lam," praised Sinta and Clara as he gave his thumbs up.

"Ra thinks my dad won. Seneng e," I said very pleased.

"Father lewih seneng" he said.

"Why Sir?" much

"Because I can go fishing free," he replied and walked first while mesem-mesen. How not happy my father got the champion of two fishing races that are not expected and counted. He was very satisfied and happy with the prize money 750,000 plus the results of the fish he got can be brought home.

The five of us looked at each other because we did not understand what my father said. Me, Budi, Frank Sinta and Clara also shrugged each other's shoulders. Only then did we realize that my father had gone first. The five of us ran after my father who had walked in front while humming.
