A beautiful morning in Bogor. The morning sunlight welcomes the universe. We all woke up from dawn to perform congregational prayers at a nearby mosque. After we finished doing all that, we started preparing to go down to the field. Yes, we will go to the Ciliwung River.
About the Ciliwung River. The Ciliwung River is a historic river. From the time of the Kingdom of Pajajaran to the Dutch Colonial period, this river plays an important role for people's lives.
This river stretches from upstream in Bogor, covering the area of Mount Gede, Mount Pangrango, and Cisarua then flows downstream on the north coast of Jakarta. Its length is 120 kilometers with the area of River Flow Area [DAS] 387 square kilometers.
But why is Ciliwung often the cause of Jakarta's flooding problems? This is what I will discuss with my other friends.
We all finally arrived at the location. We who are complete wear boots directly down. The Ciliwung River was very cloudy and smelly even the Clara was reluctant to come down together.
"The river is very dirty smell too, I moh melu mudun lah (i do not come down)," said Clara reluctant to go down.
"Lho kok ngonoh Clar, hayu koh mudun (lho kok so Clar, let's go down)," persuaded me.
"I wedi banyu ne will gawe gatel-gatel me (i'm afraid the water will make me itch)," he said reasoned.
"Ora need wedi, nek gatel-gatel yes gari adus wae sing resik (not to be afraid, if gatel-gatel yes just a clean bath)," interrupted Budi.
"Hey you guys on why are still on the bottom of everything," asked Bang Kris from below while shouting.
"Yes bang Kris (awhile) again otw," I shouted back. "Wis hayu mudun, wis denteni, bang Kris began to rampage kae (dah come down, already awaited, bang Kris began to rampage it)," I asked the others.
"Yes yes Lam, my mudun means kiye (i came down to mean this)," said the Clara with a lazy face.
The four of us looked towards Clara and nodded along with a sign that she should come down as well. Clara with a heavy heart finally came down as well.
We have all started picking up trash that is easy to reach. While on the other side of the river even have to use a tool to dredge and transport the garbage.
"Oh my goodness iki (this) what river? Akeh temen garbage (a lot of garbage)," chirped Budi surprised
"Ciliwung Bud emang akeh garbage (many garbage)," I said.
"Ko ngerti kali Ciliwung emang famous pisan akeh garbage, mulane cankan dadi cause e flood (you know Ciliwung river is famous for its many garbage, so it is often the cause of flooding)," my word tells.
"Yes the source of flooding is usually from here," said Sinta justifying.
"Betul Sinta, Ciliwung river is often a waste disposal factory," said Bang Kris suddenly.
"It should be the waste of the sediment factory (before) disposed of in if sit (formerly) yes," thought the Clara.
"True, if not processed first, the ecosystem components in the river become hampered. And make the habitat in it die," explained Bang Kris agreed.
"Dah continue to take the trash, Kaka also want to go there first." Bang Kris continued his activities.
"Yes Bang" said the five of us compact.
The root of the problem of this river is because the Ciliwung River flows through the middle of Jakarta and crosses many settlements and dense settlements that cause the river to become polluted because it is often a place for disposal of liquid waste and waste solid from factory and household activities.
Ciliwung river name itself is taken from Sundanese language, โCiโ means water and โHaliwungโ means turbid. No wonder if this river is never clear and always murky even more so it is turbid plus garbage that is increasingly piling up yes will be more polluted of course.
We all went back to picking up the trash. Suddenly, the head of the Jew got hit by something.
"Okay," he chirped. The footsteps stopped instantly.
"Let's Mom take out some trash, I know," she shouted from below looking up.
"Bodo very, who told him to be there," replied the mother who threw her garbage tightly.
"Here it is," said the surprised Budi while scratching the back of his head.
"Ha-ha-ha sing got hit by the garbage" led by Frank.
"Whisper kowe Frank," he said.
"Citizen ning kene on medeni judes judes (citizen here on scary judes judes)," grunts softly.
"Lam Lam isn't that the Bank of Trash." Sinta patted my shoulder while pointing to a building not far from us standing. I was curious and looked at the direction Sinta pointed at me.
"Yes but Kayane Bank garbage is dead (yes but it looks like the garbage bank is dead)," I said.
"Well, why don't you say hello to dead, strange kowe, Lam? (whose brother died, your brother, Lam)?" tanya was shocked to hear that.
"Narang kowe rich I duwe kakang (narang you rich I have a brother)," I deny.
"Well keep abange saya sing dead, kowe sin (do keep his brother who died, you Sin)?" tanyanya turned to Sinta.
"My ladder," said Clara upset.
"Yes innalilahi" he said in surprise.
"Bank trash kae sing (that's) dead, Bud," I said.
"Oh Bank garbage Lam said yes," he said who now understood.
"Well piwe rep by the way, every time I rep mbe be manga wis nebak maning, talking maning (how to say, every time I want to talk new manga dah Nah second again, say maning, by the way)," I grumbled.
"He-he-he's sorry Lam, sorry" he said chuckling, "endi Lam bank garbage jere (where Lam bank trash he said)?" tanyanya.
"Kae (it) Bud," pointed me in the same direction as Sinta showed me.
"Oh yes yuh nganah tilik (oh yes let's look there)," he asked for a moment
"Hayu hayu," said the others.
Finally the five of us went to the location of the garbage bank not far from our place. We were forced to leave our jobs for a while because we were curious. Arriving there we peeked inside from the cracks of the door. Our minds were full of astonishment because the place was quiet there were no bank officers at all. Suddenly someone caught us.
"Punten, these adek-adak saha tea (who)?" The voices of the fathers came from behind us.
We all looked back, "uh punten you want to ask what is this garbage bank?" ask her.
"Yes Dik but it's not used," he replied.
"Why Sir?" ask Sinta curiously.
"It's free that residents here still throw their garbage to Ciliwung, only that every year there will be volunteers in charge of cleaning up Ciliwung garbage," he explained.
"Oh so sir," I said understand.
"What are you including that volunteer" he guessed instantly.
"Yes sir we five of Purwokerto's students," answered me representing.
"Oh Banyumas yes," guess again
"Yes sir," I nodded followed by the others.
"You are good children and do not fear dirty, usually many volunteers from various students refuse to volunteer Ciliwung," said the father was proud of us.
"Why don't you want to?" ask Budi curious.
"Yes, you can see that this river is like a sea of garbage, he said that they are afraid of disease and others" he replied, looking at Ciliwung.
"Sir Le came home sought after even there apparently." Someone suddenly called the father who was allegedly his wife.
"Alright sir, please," I said. He smiled at us and walked away. We also returned that smile.
After the father came home, we also went back to the river to continue our work.
...๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ธ...
On the other hand Badrul and the gang has arrived at a famous hotel in Bogor. After they put their own belongings, they then went after the five of us to the location of Ciliwung. His followers still do not understand why his boss took him to the location of the slum Ciliwung.
"Bos Drul we really want to go to Ciliwung?" tanya Made made sure.
"Yes, we want to disturb them" he replied.
"Well, the boss is less than work when you, I think we go to Bogor to go to the top of the vacation" said Domu who did not believe.
"Why aren't we on vacation?" ask her with anger.
"No boss," the two of them replied instantly silently.
"Hayya so no ma?" asked Ling-Ling who started complaining.
"Cus get in all the cars" Badrul told his men.
They all got into the car, Badrul himself drove it. Not until long enough, Badrul and the gang has arrived in the Ciliwung area. They all went down and passed through the village.
"Hii trash all the disgust I squirm," said the Badrul lebay.
"Hayya oe (me) is also the same ma, ih jorok ma," said Ling-Ling who thinks the same.
While back in our position five. We feel concerned about the circumstances around. residents at will throw various kinds of garbage into the river. And as we continued to pick up trash we met some children playing in the river. The five of us came to send him home. Moreover, the weather is a little cloudy, fearing that there will be a flood coming. But when we advised him, the children hit us with various garbage
"Hey, what are the kids playing here anyway?" ask me while saying hello.
"Emang why did you? Excited to know," replied one of the stocky children while asking as well.
"That boy dolanan kipuh ning garbage koh jere seneng (that's a toy boy in the trash kok said happy)," muttered Budi astonished.
"But De looks like it's going to rain better be on the way home because your mom wants to find you" I told him.
"Heh heh we hit them yuk like exciting," whispered the boy who was tall enough to the stocky. Not according to what I said instead they whispered to do other exciting things.
"Hayoo hayoo." The three of them began to pick up the trash around them and throw it at us.
PLUK
"Oh wes wes (already)" I shouted to him to stop. "Welis a boy Iki even on the roar," said Budi who did not accept.
"Ha-ha-ha again Sep, send the tall boy to his friend. He was very satisfied to see us hit by various garbage.
The little ones were constantly pelting us with different kinds of trash. "Hey hey sweet children, good children already," said the Sinta persuaded them.
'Ish already dong base bad children," said the Clara who was getting upset.
"Hem Kaka-kaka is not cool all the time lost the same we are still booty," ledek high child.
"But hit Kaka-kaka again," he told one more friend who was much younger than him.
"Hee... you rambunctious children, spit your mother home on that yariin!" The voices of the fathers were heard from above the river.
"Had gone home your mother was already nyariin he said, ' told Frank while tracking his waist and glaring.
"Hish come on Sep, Mas, go home" the tall boy took to two of his friends. They then threw the trash he had just held back to the ground nonchalantly.
"Yes Ron," they both answered compactly.
Asep, Dimas and Roni, allegedly the names of the bad boys. The three of them should not be allowed to play in the river. Danger is also if suddenly rain and water overflows. Moreover, today's weather has begun to indicate that it will rain. The five of us also immediately went upstairs because it was going to rain. We hope the flood does not come because there is still a lot of garbage Ciliwung. In fact, he said it took 99 trucks to transport Ciliwung garbage. But because of the weather, Ciliwung garbage can only be transported by 33 trucks. The five of us were even surprised to know that.
"What will this continue tomorrow?" I asked Bang Kris.
"Yes Lam the weather is not supportive" he replied.
"What kind of rubbish does kiye kabeh rep transport (bang, what kind of garbage does it take)?" ask Budi curious.
"Karo (pake) the truck already has 33 trucks transporting garbage" he replied, pointing to several trucks lined up in sequence.
"Innalilahi 33 trucks akeh e (many)," Frank said in disbelief.
"It's still lacking" said Mba Lili.
"What is the need for a pira (how) Bang?" ask me not to believe.
"Kirane ana 99 dean trucks (if there were 99 trucks possible)," he replied which left the five of us shocked.
Hearing that, Budi was immediately surprised. "Baby branch, 99 trucks carrying garbage tock. Jan jan factory processing garbage sugih kiye tah."
We all chuckled a little at his words. Suddenly only....
Tests. Small grains one after another descend from the sky.
"Wow start drizzling," chirped me.
"Tayu back to the dormitory sit, rest (let's go back to the dorm first, rest)," invited Mba Lili immediately.
"Yes yes Mba," we agreed.
We all ran to the car and went back to the dormitory for a while. This activity has not been completed all, there are still plans of Nature and her friends to build the Ciliwung garbage Bank on the move again. How's their plan?
ย
POV the Badrol.
Badrol and the alley are now taking shelter in one of its many garbage huts. They were forced to shelter there because of the heavy rain. Badrol protested against Made for choosing an unaesthetic shelter.
"Made why are you taking us to shelter in a shanty shack? Slovenly like this," Badrul protested to him.
"Sorry our boss can already be too far from the car, it's useless if we run there will definitely get all wet," he explained.
"Hemm yes too but it smells really bad here" he said, covering his nose and mouth.
"Yes boss I also feel like throwing up this Boss," said Domu who began to nausea.
"Hayya oe doesn't like to dislike ma," grumbled Ling-Ling annoyed.
"Ling-Ling let's go home, yeah," Lang-Lang asked his twin.
Ling Ling nodded in agreement to her brother's invitation.
"Whispering you have been able to hold it," he told her and resigned.
