What is Earth Day? Earth Day is an annual event to show support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970. Worldwide, it now includes events held by the Earth Day Network in nearly 200 countries!
Earth Day is here to remind us how important it is to protect our planet. It also educates us on what we can do to preserve it and encourages us to take action.
That is why we members of Nature Loving SMEs attend quiz events around the theme of the earth to share our knowledge of Earth Day and the environment and educate us all. The quiz event will be held at the neighboring campus of Sriwijaya university. So we all went to the campus in droves. Not only from Unsoed but various other universities also enliven the event.
When is Earth Day? Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22 and was first celebrated in 1970. Don't forget to celebrate this year and tell all your friends about it! We only have one planet, so let's make sure to take care of it!
It is also celebrated on different days in some countries. It is known as Green Sunday in El Salvador and Den Dagen Av Jorden in Norway. In India, Earth Day has been celebrated in schools for a week since 2002.
For Earth Day 2023. We, the Nature Lovers, are also present in this quiz. Quizzes are held at Sriwijaya University. There are many other campus representatives who participate in this activity as well. The members who are represented to participate in this quiz competition from our campus are Budi, Bang Kris, Mba Lili and of course me. We had all discussed this much later. Before the semester break. I just skipped that part and went straight to the race.
Yes it can be said that this careful intelligence contains about the earth certainly. After that, continue with a learning session to make your own compost and last meal together to enjoy the results of the Earth. For now let's watch the quiz race from us first.
I, Budi, Bang Kris and Mba Lili have stood on the podium that has been prepared. While the other members sat on the bleachers to encourage the four of us.
"Please let the participants of the Earth Day 2023 quiz prepare to answer the first question," ask the event host to let the participants prepare to answer.
I was in the middle preparing to push the bell.
"First question: What is the date on which earth day is celebrated?" the quiz host started his first question.
Totottt. The bell is pulled along with the other team. But it was our team that turned out to be the fastest.
"Please Unsoed SME Team." The host gave us a chance to answer.
I pulled the mic in the middle and was ready to answer the question. "April 22 is exactly today" I replied.
"100 for Team Unsoed" said the host giving the score to our team.
"HUWAAAA PROK PROK PROK SPIRIT." The sound of an encouraging shout from the audience bench made the participants become more excited.
Me and the others were very happy because the answer from my team was correct. The four of us exchanged tos to celebrate the correct answer to the first question.
"Further question," the host's cue to continue the next question.
The four of us prepared to go back to push the button and answer the question. But for this second question our team lost quickly to the team from Unu. The quiz continues, and so far our team predicts there are 25 answers that our team has managed to answer from 50 questions. And unexpectedly we serialized with the university of Nahdlatul ulama. The host owner answered only 20 questions. To determine the winner of this quiz, there is an additional quiz. Our team and the UNU Team showed each other a serious face. Your team hopes to push and answer questions appropriately.
On the other hand, the audience seats.
"Allah Team UNU strong also can draw karo nggene dewik (Allah Team UNU strong also turned out to be the same series as ours)," said the Frank did not believe.
"Yes because of the additional question, the ideal is even though ra melu ning kana but koh I sing deg-degan well (when not follow there but kok me deg-degan)," said Sinta while holding her chest.
"Deleng even my hands are dry (see even my hands are dry)," said the Clara while sticking out her palms.
"Te sate wis serene wae taye our team must be answered (just calm down our team can certainly answer)," said Bang Opik confidently.
"Pray us" tell Mba Betti to them.
"Last question of the deciding round. Prepare your hands to press the button in front of you," said the host.
"The question is..., what is the Latin name of the Earth?" the host gave his question.
Deng. They included our team thinking hard because it turns out there is a Latin name for Earth.
"What is Lam Latin for Earth?" ask me slowly.
"Rada my slipper," chirped me.
"Terro what udu (no)? What's Terri???" I thought confused while scratching my non-itchy head.
"Iwak kuwe tah (fish is mah)," he guessed.
"Yes means Terra" I said.
"Terra Jana Time. Kue tah (it mah) title song Lam," he said instead invite joking.
"TOOTTTT." The sound of the bell was pulled by Bang Kris which made us all shocked.
"Terra," replied Bang Kris briefly all of a sudden.
"Tik tok tik tok," was silent for a moment. "100 for Team Unsoed," said the host with satisfaction.
"HUWAAAA PROK PROK PROK." The sound of clapping and shouting again emerged from the spectators
"Yes endie won," said friends relieved in the audience seats.
"Bang Kris knows (or it turns out)," Frank said unexpectedly.
"Kris I know you can do it" muttered Bang Bertus.
On podium.
"Your great cris," praised Mba Lili to him.
"Thanks to Nature and Mind" he replied.
"Device (we)," said Budi and I at the same time looking at each other in disbelief.
"Yes, I've heard that the Latin name of Earth is Terra, which means land" he explained.
"Oh so Bang I understand but even kelalen rada I ro Budi miki even guyon (oh so bang I also know but a little forget even I'm just as joking)," I said a little guilty.
"Yes we are guyon instead, but guyonan ne dawey by Lam's results. Senenge (yes we are joking, but our jokes make Lam results. Glad)," said Budi with great pleasure.
"Happy Unsoed team pacifying earth day quiz race. Thank you to the participants who enlivened this event," said the host gave appreciation to our team and said many thanks to the participants of the quiz.
"Quiz winner prizes will be deposited later after this event is completed. Thank you," he added, then resigned.
Finally our team won in this quiz race. Joy and gratitude are present in us. The four of us hugged on the podium. Other teams also greeted us to give appreciation to the four of us. After that, friends ran to greet us and exchanged tos.
Just Info: Another modern popular term for Earth/Earth comes from the Latin word 'Terra' which means the land where you stand, farm or interact.

The second event continued with a learning session to make compost itself. This session aims to let the audience know how to make their own compost from the materials around us. Previously the attendant pata had been told to bring a sack of dried leaves, and some stale rice.
From our SME Team, Budi and I were in charge of carrying a sack of dried leaves. While Frank is partly carrying stale rice that has moldy. Coincidentally Grandpa Frank often collects stale rice in the sun to be distributed to his chicken cattle. For this session we were the five representatives from the Unsoed SME team. All materials have been collected. The water has also been taken by Clara and Sinta before.
"Whis kabeh the ingredients e collect (dah all the ingredients collected)," said I relieved.
"Frank ko gawa sega mambu ne mbok (Frank you brought the rice right)?" ask to make sure.
"Yes gawa, but I hold the guava ne jan gawe mumet sirah pokale (yes bring it, but I can't stand the smell huh make the main headache)," he replied while complaining.
"What's a (smell) mambu?" ask Clara, curious.
"Yeh ambung (nih kiss)," said the Frank while directing a bag of crackles containing stale rice on him.
"Hiii mong, bacin (hiii will not, stale)," he refused while avoiding.
"Ha-ha-ha," the Frank laughs.
"Wis hayu start batire wis at start koh aja guyon bae. Keri berko directives (let's start other friends sadah on start koh do not joke continue. Missed orders later)," I rebuked them.
This compost study session was guided by Mr. Widodo as a lecturer from Sriwijaya University. If there are 1000 participants who participated in learning to make this compost. With a number of participants that are not small, surely Mr. Widodo needs help. Therefore, his students also helped him in directing the process of this activity.
The five of us started to do our jobs. But when we wanted to do the initial stage, there was a little problem because one of the materials from our team disappeared. And the material should be used at the beginning.
"Frank endi sega mambu ne miki (Where was the rice rice from earlier)?" my door to him.
"Woke Lam is not jimot sit (ok Lam is not taken first)," he replied.
"Well, that's what it is." The Frank was surprised to find his stale rice gone.
"What???" ask Clara, curious.
"Wild, the lamon is a chicken (sana, who knows the chicken was stolen)," said the Budi.
I'm nodding. After seeing me agree, Frank went looking for his stale rice.
"Eh Bud what ana chicken ning kene (eh Bud is there a chicken here)?" ask Sinta to him.
"Mbuh (does not know)," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Wis continued na kie sit sambi waiting for Frank back (has continued this first while waiting for Frank)," I said.
While on the other hand the team is starting to mix stale rice with water. But when the rice belongs to the team unu held by one of the members. Frank took it by force.
"Eh note iki sega basiku kok can ana ning kene (eh instead of this my rice kok can be here)," frank said suddenly while seizing his belongings from the hands of one of the members of the UNU Team.
"Heh the ngendi kowe team? wani-wani ne played rough (heh which team are you from? dare to play rough)," asked one team member was not accepted.
"I'm jimot sega mambu my team (i'm just taking my team's rice)," argued the Frank.
"The (do not) say I have our own team" he argued.
"Cal, this is your rice. Didn't you say there's no stale rice in your house?" refute one more member who hesitated with him.
"I asked her to go to the cafeteria here by chance she had some rice leftover" she replied nervously.
"Boong you obviously belong to the team we saw in his plastic I wis tengeri (mark) on the side there is the writing of Team Unsoed," said the insistent Frank.
The head of the team also checked the bag of crackles containing stale rice belonging to Ical, his members.
At our place, I felt something was wrong because Frank never came back. The four of us went looking for him and found himself arguing with another team
"If you disappoint this team, see this is indeed the property of Team Unsoed," said the UNU Team chairman full of disappointment in his own members.
"When did Kowe take this from them?" ask the Team Leader on Ical.
"I jimot kuwe fit their team again seriously miki (i took it as their team was serious earlier)," he replied.
"Frank ana what's in denteni koh suwe ra back and forth (Frank what's waiting for long time not back and forth)?" ask him after meeting him.
"Kuwe, really you said bud ana ayam ning kene (that's right, you said Bud has a chicken here)," he told her while insinuating.
"I mean e?" tanya Budi did not understand.
"Kae chicken neighbor sing jimot sega team e dewek (it's the neighboring chicken that took our team rice)," he replied while referring to Ical, a member of Team UNU.
"I'm sorry Ical from our team" he said. I give it back." Then the team leader from Unu returned our materials.
"What's wrong, if your team members ask well we will definitely give it anyway, without having to take it secretly," I said forgive him.
"All right I understand thank you for forgiving our team" he said in a statement.
"What is kiye wis in denggo miki (what is this already wearing earlier)?" tanyaku while peeking at the contents of rice stale in keresek
"Yes, I mixed it up a little" he replied.
"What is less? If the essay is less, we can divide it by sega sing sega in gawa temenku akeh," I asked while bidding.
"Thank you very much" he replied happily.
"Is kiye wis enough?" ask me again after pouring stale rice into their container.
They nodded which meant I had enough of Frank's stale rice to his container.
"Then our team comes back to continue our work" I said.
"Please once again thank you," replied the UNU Team Leader representing.
The four of us returned to our positions and continued our team work.
Our group's stale rice has returned. I immediately mix it with water and stirred evenly.
"Suntek kleange Bud, jere pak duka e (his dried leaves Bud, said the dosenya pack)," told me to him.
Then pour half the dried leaves, then I pour a solution of water with rice and I stir evenly.
"Suntek maning (the other lady) Bud." Pour the dried leaves back from inside the sack. While Sinta poured the remaining water and rice solution.
Lastly close the sack and save it to a place that is not exposed to rain," I said repeating the speech of the lecturer.
"Yess finished (finished)," said the Clara while closing the sack of fertilizer.
Arep in ngendi kiye Lam (want to be kept where is Lam)? tanyakanya.
"Kepriwe nek at the simple ning emperor campus sing duwure wis ana seng e (how if stored on the edge of the campus that has zinc on it)," my proposal.
"OK." Clara and Frank were in charge of bringing the finished fertilizer to the edge of the Sriwijaya campus temporarily. If fertilizer is really so later then we bring it to the Unsoed campus.
About Info: Why organic compost fertilizer is better? the answer is because organic compost fertilizer has a slower reaction effect on plants. Because of its long-lasting nature, fertilizer can bulldoze the soil and improve the ability of the soil to store water. So the fertility of the soil is maintained. Chemical synthesis fertilizer has a rapid reaction in plants, but in the long run it is not good for the soil structure and reduces fertility.
Does anyone know what composting and composting is? Compost is a type of fertilizer that comes from the end result of decomposition of animal and plant waste that serves as a supply of soil nutrients so that it can be used to improve the soil physically, chemically, or biologically. Composting is the process of remodeling (decomposition) of organic material by microorganisms in a controlled environment with the end result in the form of humus and compost.
There are several benefits to making your own compost. Namely it can reduce the waste of dry foliage, improve soil fertility, increase microbial activity in the soil, improve soil water absorption resistance and lastly improve the quality of crop yields.

Now only the last session is a dining event along with a menu of produce. Plants such as long beans, potatoes, kale and many more become the main menu.
"Iki kiye sing I seneng wis completed the activities of the meal. Weteng wareg ati seneng (this is what I'm happy to have finished the activity of staying for a meal. Stomach full of pleasure)," said the Budi happy while stroking his stomach.
"Especially the ne menu, kabeh sekang produce, ketone delicious sweets (especially the menu, all from the produce, it looks delicious), timpalku.
"Rasane ra patient I want gagian lep kabehan (it feels impatient I want to quickly eat everything)," said the Sinta.
In front of us is already etched banana leaves elongated. And on the banana leaves there are many kinds of dishes from the earth. All these foods managed to make worms in our stomachs five thrashing. The five of us sat in rows and faced each other. After getting the cue from the leader of the event, we all started eating some dishes in front of us. Satisfaction and pleasure are painted from our faces that exchange smiles.
Unlike the atmosphere with the group Badrol and the gang in his basecamp. They were enjoying the game together while replying emotionally. Made and Domu also joined together. But they get bored because they just play games together. Then the Made came up with an idea in the middle of their game. Made quickly bored because he is not good at playing mobile lagends and just a burden on the team. He also continued to be scolded by Badrol for not being able to play the game smoothly.
"Our boss stopped playing the game bosen also me," suggested the Made suddenly.
"Why do you know?" badrol replied turning around and continued playing.
"Let's attack the tar tar, '" he told himself as he continued to press the hp button.
"But I keep losing" said Made resignedly.
"You're bored De if you're bored you go watch the Nature race. It must be more exciting there," tell Domu to her.
"Add bosen lah, why am I there that I feel alienated again," he replied.
"This is where you exiled De, too" led Badrol to him.
"It's the boss why you're making me this disappointed," said Made who became more down in the mood.
"Ha-ha-ha sorry De if you feel alienated, it's because you're not good at playing" he sneered with a laugh.
"Yes you are always a team burden, lose constantly" said Domu.
"Hiks you two yes. ok let's continue again this time I will not be a burden on the team and will definitely win" he said with confidence.
"Cus prove hi-hi-hi-hi," said Domu while chuckling.
"Heh who is afraid" replied the Made minister.
The three of them returned to Mabar, while the Chinese twins had already left first because of business. They did not celebrate Earth Day. Even at the fun of playing games and leaving a lot of Snack garbage around. It's totally inexcusable.
