Chapter 02: "Shades of Darkness"

Then he tried on another part of the body, but still could not be touched by it. The creature was silent for a while, it looked like a meditation to replenish the energy.

After he felt sure of his strength, he immediately tried to pounce on Karina, but bounced back and became his smoke.

There the black figure floated in the air in the form of smoke, he saw outside the window there was a small girl with long hair, in a white dress smiling at him.

Knowing who had already blocked his goal, the black figure went chasing him out and they both went missing.

The wall clock was three in the morning, Karina was still sleeping and began to fall into her subconscious. She dreams of being in front of a former family rented house when Karina was five years old.

There were two children playing, running in front of the yard. Karina tries to watch the two of them from outside the fence, she realizes the child is her small self but she does not know the other child because her face looks blurred.

Karina stepped slowly in front of the fence of her house, she stopped right at the entrance. There he saw his mother who was busy cooking in the kitchen, smiling and unconsciously shedding tears.

But Karina's grief is met with an evil smile by a black creature standing outside the kitchen door.

Karina was surprised, she panicked in fear and stepped back. Karina's mother then went to the door and called her children. There Karina was confused, why the other child did not enter the house.

The creature entered from the back door and headed towards the front, and at the same time Karina's mother closed the door. So that the creature was trapped inside and tried to get out by banging the door repeatedly hard.

"Mother awass! There's an evil creature inside the house, momu!!" yelled Karina crying.

While the little boy outside was silent and sad. Karina was also the one who was crying trying to call out to him.

"Dec here deck, same sister, dekk.." cried Karina.

But the boy didn't seem to hear anything. While the creature continues to rebel trying to get out of the house.

Karina sat down and cried, wiping her tears a few times. Then someone patted Karina on the shoulder from behind and said.

"Wake up, this isn't your world, get out of here.Stand up and follow that white line of light"

said the mysterious figure behind Karina.

Karina who felt weak rubbed her tears and tried to get up, as if hearing nothing just felt a warm energy flowing throughout her body.

He finally stood up and took a slow step away from the house, from a distance he saw the boy still there silent and sad.

Karina continued to follow the light of the white line, until she finally saw the door. In front of the door Karina was silent, she felt familiar with the visuals. But a determined and confident Karina finally opened the door.

Karina sat for a moment on her bed still trying to remember her dream last night, but her memory was vague.

Karina was between surprised, confused, and wondering in her mind. But he tried to stay focused, and think positive.

The taxi driver looked at the slightly agitated Karina from the front rearview mirror and he asked.

Karina began to sleepy after a long time playing her hape, while Winda was cool to snack and watch her favorite drama.

Karina woke up but in a different place, she stood up and looked around her which turned out to be a village.

In the village, people move as usual. Karina began to step up and pay attention to the surroundings, the people there greeted Karina, then Karina replied to them with a smile nod.

Karina did not not believe in the supernatural, but she was just not sure about it until it actually happened to her at this time.

Karina turned away and saw Winda who was outside the rural border fence waving to call her.

"Thank you" said Karina as she turned to Grandpa.

Karina was silent and astonished at the confusion! Grandpa suddenly disappeared. Plus the surrounding area that was a slum and many people move, has now turned into banana tree trunks, rubber trees, and shrubs.

Karina grew even more panicked after seeing that there were many black creatures crawling out of nowhere and trying to get to her. He shouted and ran towards Winda while the creatures continued to chase trying to catch him.

The creature was getting closer, Karina ran and tried to reach the hand of Vinda. The creature jumped trying to pounce and at the same time, Winda reached out and grabbed Karina's hand.

A dazzling white light shone on the two of them!

Karina began to wake up from her deep sleep! He then confirmed his sitting position.

"You ain't papa? How do you think it's such a bad memory, abis a nightmare?" said Winda who looked worried.

"Well, thanks Win! We're still a long way off, where are we?" karina asked Winda.

Then Winda took his Smartphones and showed Karina a GPS Map image, Winda said that they had only half the journey which still left four hours.

"Why are you tired? nih than sleepy again I still have a lot of snacks" said Winda then gave some snacks for Karina.

An hour later the bus stopped at the dinner house. Everyone on the bus came down, including Karina and Vinda. People walked into the Dining House and queued up to pick up a buffet.

Then Karina and Vinda sat down on the table and ate their dishes. From the direction next to one man in a red jacket and blue jeans noticed the two of them. Which shortly afterwards the man ventured to approach Karina and Vinda.

"Ahh, I'm sorry can I join you in eating here?" he said politely.

"Owh yes please!" karina answered with a smile.

While Winda just glanced at Karina with a smile.

"Sorry, can you contact me? My name is Mandala salam know". 🤓

"I'm Karina, and this is my best friend Winda" they both smiled.
