Phantom Kid in the American Comic World

Phantom Kid in the American Comic World
14. Everyone's fighting Phantom Kid

The villa is only about fifteen kilometers west of the ACE chemical plant, and is rarely seen by humans around the area.

It is on the west bank of the Gotham River, not far from Westward Bridge, which gives direct access to the Berlin District. If you are brave enough, you can even cross over to Arkham Island, where the popular Arkham Asylum is located.

Inevitably, the agent woman must take Mathison around the house.

The villa was valued at only ten million dollars, whereas in the Diamond District, a villa of the same size would cost at least forty million.

Mathison was pleased with the arrangement, as the fence surrounding the estate was at least twice as high as any normal estate. He was told that it had been raised specifically later, making it difficult even for him to climb with his bare hands. It provides decent security.

The basement is built to serve as a nuclear-resistant bunker, therefore, it can be used as a good shelter.

Thus, the Phantom Kid's first fort was chosen, where all Mathison's training would be conducted in the future.

The agent woman was blown away when Mathison swiped her credit card and paid for everything without a clear reaction.

The villa has been on sale for a long time, it's kind of a burden in the hands of Wayne Real Estate. Documentation is processed very quickly. Within hours, everything was done and Mathison was ready to move on.

Today is June 19, two days before the preview of the teaser letter and the last day to enter, which means that there is only one day left for Mathison to get ready.

Mathison had ordered a large amount of strange and unusual materials, all to practice magic.

Red magic is a type of magic that relies heavily on external objects, with curses, blessings, divinations, alchemy, and magic circles making up 90% of the contents of red magic. Spells that relied solely on magic power themselves were rare.

Magic is a mysterious thing. Ever since he obtained the Red Magic book, Mathison had practiced the spells written there, achieving very slow results. The only magic he could unleash was ignition, one of the few spells that did not require the use of physical materials to release it.

Unfortunately, with his current magic power, lighting a candle was the best he could do.

The magic amulet that Koizumi Akako could easily make would take a whole day for Mathison.

”Better rely on system empowerment because it is fast. Besides, I don't think that I can directly use my magic power.”

Now is not the time to think about all this. Once the gem is stolen, the reward will be known naturally afterwards.

Mathison burned a large cauldron in the basement, added countless strange and exotic herbs into it, and dropped two sheets of paper into it.

To make sure the operation was very easy, he had to refine some magic talismans.

While Mathison is concentrating on creating a magic amulet, GCPD receives another anonymous message claiming to have deciphered Kid's teaser letter.

Anonymous messages this time cover the entire contents of the decryption.

Gordon immediately orders all off-duty officers to exit and head to Daggett's private collection.

"Fuckin' thick!"

Gordon suddenly remembered the flyer Kid had put on Aaron.

"Remember to summon three helicopters to render their glider wings useless."

This time, he was determined to capture the Phantom Kid!

Both the police and Wayne are ready to take on the Phantom Kid, and of course, Daggett, who becomes his prey, is ready as well.

"Stryver, did you contact him?"

Inside the luxurious presidential suite, Daggett asked his closest subordinates.

"Don't worry boss, he'll be here soon."

Stryver glanced at his watch before replying.

"That's right, I'm never late."

Suddenly, a third voice appeared. Just hearing that voice would make one think that it belonged to a sexy beauty.

A woman who had entered the room at some point slowly emerged from the shadows.

None other than Serena, who had fought Mathison not too long ago!

"Female cat."

Daggett's eyes narrowed.

Serena asked carefully.

"You're not a petty thief, you're a master thief of Gotham, so I want to entrust you with something, a matter that only you can help."

Daggett said with a slight smile and a friendly face.

"The ghost boy."

Serena knew who Daggett meant as a 'problem'.

"That's right, I'm sure as Gotham's number one thief, you don't want this freak on top of you."

Daggett said so.

"I don't mind taking your commission, though, even if I've had a feud with him, you'll have to pay a reasonable price from me!"

Daggett understood very well that Catwoman had a conflict with the Phantom Kid, but he did not ask further.

"You will naturally love my gift, believe me, it is a gift you can never refuse."

Daggett firmly believed that Catwoman would not resist his temptation.

"The thing you've been looking for, it's in my hands now."

Sure enough, at those words, Serena's eyes changed, it was a wish that yearned for a reward.

But in an instant, he regained his coldness.

"No, as far as I know, the only one who could possibly make it is Lykin Data."

"True, therefore, I bought that company."

Daggett said it with confidence

Serena bites her lip, knowing that Daggett has more shares in Wayne Enterprises than Bruce, buying Lykin Data is very simple.

With big news like buying a company, one can find a lot of reports about it through regular checks on the internet, one would not assume that Daggett was trying to lie.

"What do you want me to do?"

Serena quickly became a character.

"Protect my jewels and make the Phantom Kid a big joke!"

"And of course," Daggett said with a cruel smile, "If you can kill him, it will be better."

"Sorry, I only know how to steal things, I don't know how to prevent things from being stolen."

Just as Daggett frowned, Serena turned the tables and said, "But I will gladly accept that last offer."

The thought of being unwittingly taken advantage of that day, and not getting the Adam Star, made Catwoman's customers very unhappy.

"If it wasn't for my good hand skills, I was worried that I would have died by then!"

How could Serena not hold a grudge against the Phantom Kid?

”If you continue that high profile style, sooner or later, you will get a lot of trouble. And when you've offended the police, the mafia, and the rich, there won't be a place for you in Gotham, Kid.”

Serena sneered in her mind.

At this point, Daggett and Serena have some sort of deal, and then Catwoman disappears into the shadows.

Though Mathison now commits only one crime, the eyes of Gotham's authorities are all on her.

With only a second teaser letter uniting Catwoman, GCPD, and Batman, it will be far more difficult for Mathison to steal the Cat's Eye Emerald than it is for Adam's Star.

On the afternoon of June 21, after a full day of purification, Mathison finally completed two magic talismans.

"With this, I am in complete control!"

Mathison wiped the sweat off her face, revealing a delighted expression.
