7. Red Magic

“Actually, I've always wanted to see with my own eyes what Catwoman, who the police have long sought, is actually.”

"After all, you're really my senior."

Mathison suddenly becomes curious and takes off the Catwoman mask, revealing a moving face that looks a lot like a certain Hollywood actress in Mathison's previous life.

“It's a shame that women as beautiful as you are are thieves, Miss Kyle.”

Mathison returned her original words to him.

"This expression and reaction.he didn't lie!"

While Mathison's facial expression did not change, deep down she pondered.

   Eight years ago, the Joker took Harvey Dent to the brink of revenge. He is a bloody criminal with a sense of justice. However, Gotham cannot accept the decay of their knight of justice, Harvey Dent, especially since he was seen as Gotham's savior at the time.

   He strongly advocated the implementation of the "Dentist Act" to effectively combat criminals. Once Harvey Dent's image collapses, the Dent Act will completely lose its effectiveness among Gotham citizens. The GCPD that finally has a chance to clean up the mess caused by Gotham's criminals will never let this situation happen.

   So the police hid the truth about Harvey Dent's death, falsely claiming that Batman had killed Harvey, and attributed some of Harvey's crimes to Batman. And thus, the Dent Act becomes unbreakable due to Harvey's heroic sacrifice, while Batman disappears.

From then on, Gotham remained in a state of peace for eight years, thanks to Dent's actions. Although black market trading cannot be completely stopped, trading has gone from being rampant in the open to being hidden in the shadows.

Gotham transformed from the city with the highest crime rate in the United States to a city with a moderate crime rate, an increase that surpassed trust.

That is, until Bane descends upon Gotham, reveals the truth about everything, and nearly brings Gotham to its destruction.

This whole event happened exactly eight years after Harvey's death, this year, except Mathison doesn't remember exactly when.

Mathison recalls that Bane's early arrival was when he hired Catwoman to go to Wayne Manor to get Bruce Wayne's fingerprints and use them to transfer Bruce's shares on the stock exchange.

And now Catwoman says she doesn't know Bane, which proves that Bane hasn't expanded her operations in Gotham, but it's expected she'll soon reach Serena.

There must be a handful of rich people who want the Star of Adam, but Mathison doesn't care enough.

Mathison grabbed the robe with her hands, flicked it, covered her body completely, and moved very quickly. By the time the robe naturally fell, the Phantom Kid's figure had already disappeared.

When the exclamation mark is clicked, the panel instantly becomes transparent and a new panel appears.
