6. Facing Catwoman Halfway

On a quiet street late at night, a middle-aged man in a police uniform walked slowly, with a cheerful face, then turned into an alley.

"Your Majesty, after following me for so long, it's time to show up."

Confirming that there are no monitors in the alley, Mathison stops.

A rustling sound appeared, and Mathison turned around with a calm expression.

A tall and sexy woman in black tights appeared in the alley.

"Female cat?"

Mathison notices that the woman is wearing a mask with cat ears, only the lower part of her face is exposed. 

    She suddenly guessed her identity: Catwoman, Serena Kyle!

“You are a female thief, yet you dare to follow the police, are you trying to be arrested?”

Mathison gestured to pull out her gun.

"You said I was a thief, didn't you, poor Phantom Kid?"

Serena looked cold.

“Interesting, how did you see my disguise? I think the disguise is pretty good, plus, there's no way you're very familiar with Aaron Kash, however, you still see a small difference.

     Mathison smiled slightly. Now that he is open, he is facing it openly. He reached out his hand to grab the collar of the police uniform and pulled it down. The entire police uniform was miraculously stripped and immediately replaced, with its white robe dancing in the wind.

“Wow, you change clothes very quickly. Among all the men I've seen, you are the fastest.You also dare to steal things with such conspicuous clothing, I really don't know if you are brave or stupid.”, Catwoman said cynically.

“Phantom Kid, your disguise is very clear. I can't see any flaws.I happened to see someone made that stupid old cop faint and sent him into the sky with those white wings.”.

Mathison realizes, it seems like there's more than one person interested in Adam's Star. Just because the notice made the police pay special attention, Serena was difficult to approach the exhibition hall.

   Perhaps he wanted to see how the Phantom Kid, who had been bothering him, stole the gems from a herd of police officers, or he wanted to take the gems out of his own hands. Overall, Catwoman did not give up on Adam's Star. He had been monitoring the situation in the exhibition hall from a distance until he happened to see a scene of Aaron being knocked out.

As long as it wasn't a mistake in her disguise.

“I don't know why you want to steal the gem, but, unfortunately, my employer stated that he wants to get it, so, you better give it to me willingly.”

"Oh, pretty lady, if I hear you're right, you want this?"

Mathison takes out Adam's Star in front of Gordon.

“I'm surprised by your cooperation, but do you think I'm blind? I don't want this broken stone, I want the real one to hide behind your sleeves.”

"I'm sorry, Miss Kyle, although I'm willing to dedicate everything to a beauty like you, Adam's Star isn't on the list."

Mathison threw out the fake Adam Star in her hand and then spread out her hand.

“It seems like the saying will not be enough for you to give me that gem. And I am the same. No one would hand over 170 million dollars just like that, right?”, Serena tilted her neck and said rhetorically.

“Hehe, it is not necessarily true.”

Mathison and Serena looked at each other, and the atmosphere instantly became serious.

“You really are a respectable man. I don't think you're gonna beat a woman, do you?…”
