Ch. 21- Evaluation (4)
In a V.I.P room in the stadium, a middle-aged man stared at the arena where the cadets dueled with his burning eyes.
“I know that they are amazing, but seeing them directly really gives a different sensation.”
A [Arcane Academy] executive said to the middle-aged man, the man smiled as if proud and said,
“Yes right? They are the cadets I have observed and the ones I have chosen from far away.”
The man's secretary looks fed up with his boss who constantly boasts of the cadets he chooses.
He opened his mouth, then,
“Now left Zetto Longbow to show his ability in this evaluation.”
The man named Thomas Leonhert heard the words of his secretary, then he raised his back from the back of the chair and leaned forward.
“Zetto Longbow, son of Zephyr Longbow, an A-class Awakener who is also the owner of one of the largest magical stone mining companies in the world.”
Thomas murmured to himself, then finally the announcement for the cadet who will be dueling in the fourth session was announced through the big screen.
Looking at the contents of the announcement, Thomas smiled and opened his mouth,
“Haha! it will pull.”
What Thomas sees is the name Zetto going up against a cadet named Zheng Shen, a cadet who is supposed to be in a cadet who goes through a special path in the [World of Magic and Might].
However, as a result of Max entering the [Arcane Academy] cadet Zhen Shen finally did not qualify to enter through a special line.
Then Thomas's attention was on a male cadet with long ponytail hair that was about to reach his waist.
With a cold expression, the cadet looked at Zetto who was about to go into the waiting room from a distance and finally went into the waiting room with the long spear that was on his back.
A few hours, though,
“Kadet Zetto Longbow vs Cadet Zheng Shen, please in question to go to arena no. 1.”
The two cadets then casually headed towards the arena and looked at each other.
“Kadet Zetto Longbow, Are you ready?”
Hearing that Zetto clasped tightly onto her bow, the tattoo on her face lit up, then immediately took a combat stance and said,
“I'm ready!”
Hearing Zetto's statement, the referee turned his head towards Zheng Shen.
“Cadet Zheng Shen, Are you ready?”
Zheng Shen turned his spear from right hand to left hand over and over and then finally picked up the sturdy horses.
“Then, the duel between cadet Zetto and cadet Zheng begins!”
BOOM!
An arrow made of magic suddenly shot out and exploded at the place where Zheng Shen was, as a result of which dust was strewn everywhere.
As expected, Zheng Shen managed to protect himself with the aura he exerted from the magics around.
Seeing this Thomas Leonhert, the head of the [Arcane Academy] academy put his hand on his chin then said,
“Awakener who comes from refugees from east Asia has unique magical attributes, they call their magic by the designation ‘chi’ or what we know more as ‘aura’.”
Chi or better known as aura is a type of magic that is widely found in Awakener originating from east Asia.
This type of magic has the advantage that this type of magic is harmonious with nature, making its owner have a stable body, mind, and soul, and much more.
Of course there are disadvantages experienced by the owners of this type of magic, such as relying heavily on the surrounding environment as their magical source, time and practice are more significant than other magical types and others.
Zheng Shen was then seen dodging the attacks from the arrows that Zetto fired and gathering magic around and advancing towards Zetto.
Seeing this, Zetto fired more arrows and tried to keep his distance from Zheng Shen.
Zheng Shen stopped in place and twirled around in circles using his spear to annihilate the arrows that shot towards him.
In the midst of swinging his spear, Zetto had moved to the back of Zheng Shen and shot back an arrow at him.
It was at that moment that Zheng Shen turned around and slid towards Zetto at a frightening speed, instantly he was in front of Zetto and swung his spear.
Feeling that there was no time to dodge, Zetto took out two 30cm-sized knives that were on each of his waist and fended off the spear that was heading towards him.
But instead, Zetto was forced to take a few steps back with his shaken posture.
Zheng Shen quickly turned his spear at high speed to shake his opponent's defense, but Zetto deftly avoided and repelled those attacks.
Until Zetto finally retreated and managed to keep his distance from Zheng Shen, seeing that, Zheng Shen gathered an aura on his spear.
The aura on his red spear gave off a fierce and dangerous impression.
Zetto was surprised by the long-range attack launched by Zheng Shen, and in a hurry he made a magical shield in front of him.
-Krakk!!
However, as a result of his hasty shield making, the shield quickly shattered and Zheng Shen's attack hit Zetto in a crushing manner.
But like a professional, Zetto quickly gets up despite being injured, corrects his posture, and Zetto shoots dazzling magic arrows that plunge at him quickly.
Zheng Shen exerted his aura again and annihilated the arrows easily.
But that was what Zetto was after, the raised dust could block Zheng Shen's gaze even for a split second.
Zetto then did the most unexpected action of a marksman, which is to advance closer to his opponent.
Despite being a marksman, he was extremely adept at fighting using two knives.
He seemed to be condensing his magic onto the two blades, and skillfully threw one of the knives towards Zheng Shen.
Zheng Shen who, although surprised, deftly repelled the incoming knife, Zetto who took advantage of the moment immediately swung his knife.
Due to the close distance between the two of them, Zheng Shen could not use his spear effectively.
So that he can only avoid his attacks and try to keep his distance from Zetto.
Max who saw this smiled and satirized in his mind,
‘Ironis, Zetto who was supposed to keep his distance instead approached Zheng Shen. Instead Zheng Shen who should have approached instead tried to stay away.’
Zetto was seen piercing towards Zheng Shen, but Zetto's hand was easily caught by him.
Seeing he was unable to move his captured hand, and also Zheng Shen tried to kick towards him.
Zetto decided to remove his knife from his right hand and then took his knife back using his left hand, then turned around and slashed Zheng Shen's thigh.
“Ugh.”
Fresh blood was seen pouring down on the floor, Zheng Shen retreated and swung his spear and Zetto shrewdly avoided it then kicked Zheng Shen.
He was forced to crash a few meters due to the kick given, Zheng Shen quickly improved his posture.
However, what he saw were arrows raining down on him.
BOOM! BOOM UP! BOOMING
However, Zheng Shen managed to hold on despite being filled with injuries all over his body.
His gallant combat attitude and sharp eyes that seemed to be observing the prey in front of him.
Then he gathered the magic around so as to form an aura that enveloped his body, Zheng Shen unceremoniously advanced towards Zetto.
“Haaa!”
The sound of a spear swing, the sound of arrows being released, the sound of grumbling, moaning and others resounded in the arena.
Until the end, though,
BOOM!
An arrow hit Zheng Shen so hard that it dropped and did not move.
Seeing that, the referee went up to the arena and checked Zheng Shen's state.
After he finished, he then approached the gasping Zetto and announced,
“With his brilliant strategy and unwavering toughness, the title of winner in this duel was achieved by cadet Zetto Longbow! Give a standing ovation.”
The spectators then stood up and gave a standing ovation with their performance in this duel.
However, shortly after the referee announced that, Zetto immediately fell to the floor losing consciousness.

“Max!”
When he was about to exit the stadium, a male voice called Max Goldwel. Max then looked towards the direction the voice came from.
A soft but masculine face and bandaged left arm were seen approaching Max.
“What's up?”
“I have a request.”
Then without further ado Tristan explained his request.
And Max, Max smiled widely in his mind when he heard the contents of the request.
