A transparent blue screen floated in front of my eyes sitting on the bus seat, and I felt my body becoming stronger than before, like a video game.
Recalling the beginning of this incident I still wonder how this happened, it all started three months ago when I was practicing my swordsmanship.
While focusing on my training, intense pain filled and enveloped my head and strange memories began to enter my brain in pain.
The memories contain the ordinary life of a High School teenager in another world. A world of peace, without magic, monsters and others.
Most notable and surprising in that memory was a video game that the teenager played.
The name of the video game was [World of Magic and Might], which was strangely similar to the world I was in.
However, at the end of this memory, the teenager died as a result of being a victim of disobedience while he was looking for dinner due to playing the game all day.
When I was still processing what had just happened, then a voice as confused as mine sounded in my head, and the identity of that voice was none other than
this teenage memory owner.
At first we were both confused by what happened, but strangely we quickly assumed this was normal.
'We' can carry out daily activities as if the event did not happen.
Through this memory, I can know that in the future there are many threats that can destroy humanity.
At that time also my status window suddenly had a strange but very useful feature to improve my skills as an Awakener like a video game.
I call the feature Mission Status, which when the mission is completed I will get a reward that will be useful to increase my strength as an Awakener.
And over time the voice of the owner of the memory ‘disappeared’, or rather his mind and I seemed to be one.
And without me noticing, I thought of their memories as my memories. I don't think we are different people, but the same people.
In the end I got to this point, where I was stronger than Tristan Holmberg in the [World of Magic and Might] early in my first year at the academy.
On his Game, Tristan upon entering [Arcane Academy] he was still an E-class Awakener.
But now I have become a D-class Awakener due to the knowledge of the game.
But it seems like this change is also having an impact on the future of this world, too, like the Head of the Academy who uses an ogre who even has the skill [Frenzy] as opposed to testing me and Max who are invited with a special path.
And the most important thing was that there was a character who should not have entered [Arcane Academy] as a cadet.
He is Max Goldwel, a character that the player does not want to be hostile to.
Because if that happens then he will make the level of difficulty of the game rise drastically, the cunning tactics make players who make enemies will shake their heads.
Players who can end the game with a good ending by making Max Goldwel their enemy can only be counted by hand, therefore unless they are crazy, players will try to make him an ally.
Broadly speaking the route Max Goldwel can be made into two, the, that is the route where he becomes a mercenary which if the player is not hostile to him and the route he becomes a Necromancer where the player is hostile to Max.
So, even if there is no additional mission given by the system to get acquainted with it.
When I met him on the train I immediately planned to make him an ally.
The advantages of getting acquainted with him were far more than making him an enemy.
At that time also the bus I was riding arrived at the stop near my destination.
I got up from my chair and looked around, outside the window was a beautiful garden and neatly arranged.
But my purpose was not the garden, but the dense forest that was visible behind it.
And in the middle of the forest was a giant tree that soared into the sky, that yup was the [World Tree].
Without a long time I reached the end of the park where the forest was located, with a careful step I entered the forest and at that moment I turned my attention to a notification of the status of my window.

Baby Phantom is the key to awakening my ultimate power, Tristan Holmberg.
I then opened the bandage that enveloped my right arm and hand.
Visible tattoo from the shoulder to the hand strung with a complex but beautiful, this tattoo appeared since I woke up as an Awakener and on the status of my window looks a skill that only contains question marks.
I always wondered what these tattoos were for, and tried various things to find out.
In the end the effort made me find that one of the uses of this tattoo is to be an inventory that allows me to store items in the subspace, but I think this is not the main use of this tattoo.
But all the effort I put in was in vain except for the fact that I could make the tattoo glow.
I decided to hide this tattoo by covering it with a bandage.
But, when I got that memory, I finally found out what these tattoos were for and how to get the real ability.
After a long time down the forest, from a distance I then found two giant stones that look very sturdy.
The place where the Baby Phantom nest is, I then took out and put on a robe which is a magic item that is useful for removing the existence of users from my inventory.
And with slow and silent steps I headed towards the two giant stones, and a silhouette was seen between the rocks.
And then as if realizing my whereabouts the silhouette turned towards here, so I was stared at with a pair of blue eyes.
I was wrong, it was not a silhouette, but rather the feathers and scales of the creature absorbed all the light that hit its body creating the illusion that I saw a silhouette.
It was the Baby Phantom but he was now in aggressive mode, his scales and body books are seen standing and his appearance is similar to that of a black-haired jaguar but with scales in certain areas like a dragon.
With an invisible movement the Baby Phantom disappeared from sight and attempted to pounce on my body.
But I had disappeared where I should have been so that his attack only hit the wind.
Took a sword from my inventory and decided against the creature in front of me so that I could carry out the ritual smoothly.
And sure enough he disappeared from my sight again, with nimble movements I avoided him again.
But if it continues like this, I will only be killed by it.
Because this creature is young so after observing the two attacks, I can easily predict where the next attack will be.
I then swung my sword forward horizontally, and according to my estimation I felt my sword slashing against something followed by the agonizing sound of the Baby Phantom.
"Young!!"
And he was seen retreating when hit by my sword.
Deciding not to give him a single crack though, I swiftly activated the [Water Stream] skill of the first chapter of [Tidal Cut].
My sword was then enveloped by the water flowing like a waterfall, and the water quickly circled the sword with high pressure.
Without hesitation I then stepped forward towards that Phantom.
He then tried to dodge with his agile movements, but unfortunately he was still young so I easily predicted all his movements.
Seeing him fall down, I cast magic onto my right arm, then the tattoo that was there gave off light.
And I slowly placed my palm onto the head of the baby phantom and when my hand and head made contact, suddenly a dazzling light shot out from my tattoo.
The dazzling light dissipated after a while, and all that remained of it was a tattoo on the forehead of the Baby Phantom that was the same as the tattoo that was on the shell of my hand.
It seemed like making the contract ate more mana than I thought, I then stroked her and subconsciously smiled, at the same time the baby phantom woke up as well.
It seemed like the wounds caused by the battle had been healed due to the contract ritual earlier.
Seeing me right in front of him he instantly disappeared and appeared beside me growling at me, but his body suddenly stiffened as he wanted to attack me.
Looking at the incident before my eyes, I smiled with satisfaction because the phenomenon showed that he and I had entered into a contract.
Baby Phantom looked very confused by the incident that had just happened, chuckling to see him bewildered.
But he still snarled at me
"Tsk."
Seeing that he was still not tame even though we had made a contract, I clicked my tongue.
“Well, how else, I forced you to make a contract with me. Therefore you should stay at my tattoo for a while”
Along with the completion of my sentence the tattoo on my right arm glowed and started sucking on the baby phantom, he looked very confused by what was happening to his body.
But whether it was just my feeling or not, for a moment his attention was not in my direction, but among the trees.
Looking in that direction, I found no signs of anything abnormal, just a quiet and desolate forest.
I decided to forget about it and get up then take a deep breath.
For today an event will take place at a banquet tonight, but see that a lot has changed from the storyline of the game, I have to stay alert to unexpected variables.
Like when the Baby Phantom was able to detect me even though my distance between him was still quite far that was not suitable for the game.
You could say this world has a higher level of difficulty than the one in the game.
As I was thinking about it, I had unknowingly been in the garden.

I then saw a bench near me, and sat on it.

It seems like a skill that only contains question marks turned out to be [Assimilation] as well I got an addition to the basic status of [MP].
It was always satisfying to see yourself become stronger, and then I opened my status in the status window.

As said on Mission Status earlier, I got a reward of +0.5 for all the basic stats, plus +0.5 on [MP] as well as 1 upgrade point.
But the real reward was the skill I got that was [Assimilation] after making a contract with the Baby Phantom earlier.

My attention was immediately drawn to the skill that was marked as new. It was a [Assimilation] skill, then I immediately checked the description of the skill.

But it doesn't stop there, I can unite with him, which makes me stronger.
Satisfied to see what was in the status window I then got up from the bench and dragged my body that felt heavy.
