"LEA!" bang Wi's shout from outside the Pit Box jerked the Pit Crew.
Evan rushed out followed by the others, while Bang Wi ran to the parking lot.
They see Elijah darting out of the parking lot on his uncle's modified motorcycle at high speed.
Simultaneously, a dump truck with a payload capacity of twenty tons was also being shot towards Elijah in no less high speed.
Everyone screamed in horror, as Elijah had already crossed to the middle of the road, just where the dump truck was about to cross.
The sound of the big car horn was shrill warning Elijah to charge because such a carousel-type vehicle could not bring down the speed in an instant or stop it suddenly.
Elijah flinched his head towards the dump truck in surprise. It's only a second left, and that big car is already going to take it down.
Evan froze in front of the Paddock area with a paled face.
The sound of car tires squeaking in a long and loud screech.
People frowned and held their breaths as they closed their eyes, unable to see the horrifying sight.
Everything's going too fast. No one captured the entire series of events in detail.
They all now just saw the dump truck.
The dump of the truck rolled ever so slowly and only stopped a few dozen meters ahead.
Time seemed to come to a halt as everyone opened their eyes with a shaken expression.
Evan staggered for a moment feeling unsteady.
There was a groan from mouth to mouth followed by a rumble. Some people rushed towards the gate and froze.
"GET DEAD, HUH?!" hardik the driver dumped the truck with a thunderous voice.
Elijah's motorcycle perched across the street without a shortage of anything. Somehow the girl was able to escape death, but she was fine. He glanced at the dump truck driver while pointing his middle finger.
Evan gulped and sighed. Damn woman, how many lives do you have? his mind felt a little relieved.
It seemed like what he taught was not entirely in vain!
Without a second thought, Evan immediately rushed to the parking lot, picked up his motorcycle and darted after Elijah.
Elijah had already left the place when Evan came out, but Evan knew where the girl was headed.
Yeah, of course you are!
Where else?
Uncle's house.
"Make people panic!" evan shouted as soon as he reached the yard of Bang Wi's house and turned off the engine.
Elijah was driving his vehicle into the garage when Evan came, not shouting at the man.
Evan jumps off his motorcycle and scatters towards the girl, "Find your sensation, huh? Huh!" his wrath while grabbing one shoulder Elijah.
The girl looked over, looking at Evan's face with a cold look. Then he turned his shoulders, breaking away from the man's grip.
Evan tightened his jaw and rolled his eyeballs. Then a rough sigh and a ruffled waist. Waiting for Elijah finished containing his mount with a wrinkled face between worry and annoyance.
He was angry at himself who could not say good things.
When panicked or surprised, Evan does have a tendency to talk rudely. And it is reflexive, like a permanent defect that is impossible to repair.
Unfortunately, Elijah hates someone the most!
The girl now came out of the garage in a passive manner, passing by Evan without turning her head in the slightest.
"Gee!" Evan tried to hold back the girl by gripping her shoulder once more.
But again Elijah raised his shoulders and let go. Then walk quickly into the house.
Evan tailed behind him with a puzzled look, but was too stuttering to say an apology. It's as hard as saying "I love you!"
Elijah disappeared into the room and shut himself up.
Evan froze staring blankly at the door of the girl's room with a wounded feeling. Her breath feels tight. His heart was beating irregularly. The pain cut through the recesses of his heart.
She hates me! bitter mind.
Should it be this deep?
Is it outrageous to say Elijah is not talented?
Doesn't that have anything to do with personal matters?
But why is Elijah acting like he wants to end everything?
At least that's how Evan feels. Somehow he felt that Elijah was trying to leave him.
That's not what it means, Evan regretted in his heart.
Evan never taught the girl to be a racer. Not because he failed!
Nor do they understand Bang Wi's insinuations.
Evan knew exactly the man was never wrong in judging one's talent. And vice versa. Bang Wi knows exactly Evan never disappoints. That's why he chose Evan.
Evan has never failed to explore the talent of a racer.
On the contrary, Bang Wi never mistakenly saw the potential talent of a racer. And he saw Elijah had that potential.
But Evan doesn't want Elijah to be a racer.
Like himself!
The drivers' diaries are scars. So, Evan never explored that potential.
However, a small wound on Elijah's body from the circuit in Sukabumi had injured Evan as well. Evan never expected Elijah to get hurt worse. What he has taught so far is only a safe way to ride a dirt bike and also motor sport.
His weekly schedule and first solicitation while they were in Sukabumi was actually just Evan mode so that Elijah could continue to be by his side.
Elijah is now living in Jakarta. There was no longer any reason to worry Elijah would stay away even though the girl was no longer training at the circuit.
Elijah will be his!
He can meet the girl whenever he wants.
They could have had more time if Elijah wasn't busy training.
And whatever made him explode on that circuit wasn't really about technical problems. But about everything that made her worried to see Elijah in the middle of the block pass and brake check among the riding goons.
Enough's enough! he thought he couldn't take it anymore. So Evan was looking for a way to make the girl quit the street world.
It would be nice if women just sit at home!
Bottom line…
"You don't have to go anywhere. Diem in my heart!"
The ridiculous sentence he had left with a bottle of mineral water two years ago, was not just a meaningless empty sombre that he could forget at any time.
Maybe Elijah has forgotten it. But Evan isn't!
Maybe everyone thinks of it as a silly joke, but Evan is not actually kidding around.
He doesn't mess with the girl. He's not messing with this.
Two years! bitter memories.
For two years he waited patiently for a good time to express his feelings for Elijah.
Two years he set things up to win the girl's heart.
Two years she struggled against the worries she would lose while waiting for her lover to grow.
Two years is not a short time to refrain from all the temptations of the damned devil, both who mill around him who is ready to corner on his left-right at any time, or who is in his own heart.
Two years is not a short time to let the woman he loves drift over the uncertainty.
Two years later he tore his heart out with his own hands!
Now which is worse?
No talent or no hope anymore?
In the aftermath, Evan hears the sound of a motorcycle engine roaring and stops in the yard.
Soon enough, Bang Wi walked into the house and stopped behind Evan.
The boy was bowed in deep regret.
"So what exactly is your real purpose?" tanya Bang Wi behind Evan's back.
Evan simultaneously stiffened, but did not say anything.
Bang Wi let out a short sigh and groaned without a sound.
Evan still bowed his back to Bang Wi, facing Elijah's bedroom door.
"You're on my cake, Van!" bang Wi's next words poked deeply into Evan's heart.
Evan sighed deeply and raised his face, then turned his head towards Bang Wi.
The man looked at her with a flat face.
Evan gulped and twisted his body facing toward Bang Wi. But then back down. "Sorry cave, Wi…!" said raucous.
Bang Wi chuckled thinly after a moment of silence. Then pat Evan on the shoulder. "Why haven't you opened the same cave all this time?" He added while grinning.
Satan, thought Evan. Make a heart sport, damn it!
