"El?!" Denta screams in surprise as Elijah returns in a state of panic.
Elijah took off his helmet violently, then jumped down from the motorcycle and sighed deeply. The girl was standing in a daze with both knees shaking.
Denta frowned.
Elijah exhaled heavily and stared at Denta. Then force a smile.
"You're all right, right?" Denta approached the girl with a worried look.
"Father," Elijah answered quickly, slightly panting. "Gue just. misses," he said mimicking Denta's dreadlocks.
Denta smelled his smile. You think I believe? he said in his heart. But don't say anything. Just rubbing the top of Elijah's head like usual.
Since first seeing Elijah, Denta knew the girl was not always open. Many things were hidden from him. But Denta doesn't want to know.
What matters is that he's here! thought.
For Denta, Elijah's presence in his life was not just by chance, but in answer to his prayers.
"Bring to me someone to whom I can leave my dreams!"
And God sent Elijah.
So great was his love for motocross, that he thought that he might not die peacefully before believing his motorcycle was passed down into the right hands.
It is not about worldly matter or carnal desires that he cannot let go of. But about the spirit that needs to be transmitted.
I don't care how I die, or when I die. But the rest of life being a blessing seems like the best way to go in peace.

.
The sounds of shoes pounding on the floor of the corridor, low boisterous laughter and conversation echoed through the streets of the Jakarta Arts Institute.
Elijah walked towards the stairs, while the thumping sound was heard getting louder. The students were fanning along the corridor, some in groups and walking slowly while talking, some rushing without looking back and forth, impatient to get to the yard immediately.
Elijah turned the corner and went down the stairs leading to the yard. When he fixed the location of his backpack, a pinch of hair that now reached his waist clamped his backpack strap. He stopped walking, trying to take off his hair.
"El, wait! El!" Someone suddenly called out to him.
Elijah turned with his brows furrowed, surprised to see a familiar face in a still unfamiliar place.
Deny Darmawan—DeDe, waving to him over the heads of the people. "Wait!" shouted again.
Elijah waved back, then moved to the side of the corridor. He leaned against a pillar, reached into his jeans pocket to find a hair tie.
He saw Dede running through the crowd towards him. Looks cool without wearpack. Her hair is OTW gondrong.
"Lu's going to college here?" exclaim Dede happy. His black eyes sparkled.
"Some!" elijah curled his hair and walked back. "Gue again begging!"
Dede chuckled as he lashed out at Elijah. "Lu still lives in Bang Wi's house, right?" ask Dede—sok kepo. "Kok, you never nongol again on the circuit?"
Elijah just shrugged his shoulders. Didn't want to answer Dede's obvious question just a little talk.
Dede probably doesn't know the problem with Evan. Dede wasn't there during the Grass Track Tournament.
"Two weeks away from motocross. You don't want to follow?" continued Dede.
Elijah did not answer. Not sure if he was really ready to return to the circuit, although on the other hand, Denta also continued to urge him.
When their steps almost reached the bottom of the stairs, someone pushed Elijah from behind. "Monkey!" his grunts spontaneously-exit the original.
People simultaneously turned.
Elijah felt pushed to the side hard. His books fell from his hands, his backpack sagging from his shoulders.
At the bottom of the stairs, the crowd of students looked increasingly crowded. And now they all look at Elijah.
Elijah jerked his head to the side, looking back at the horned—!
Dede followed his direction.
A girl frozen behind him looked at Elijah in fear. "Ma—maf!" regrettable. "Gu-gue. I don't mean to push you! The oath!"
Dede blinked and glanced at Elijah timidly, then glanced at the girl behind him with concern. "Udah, yuk! Unplug it!" take Dede quickly. Probably worried Elijah might explode.
Just didn't come in, it was a riot!
The two of them hurried to leave the stairs.
The crowd at the bottom of the stairs simultaneously filled when Elijah passed by.
Reaching the gate, a bugatti mansory was already parked waiting for Elijah.
Dede was flabbergasted with eyes and mouth rounded as the driver of the luxury car approached Elijah and wrapped his hand around the girl's shoulder.
"Gue go first, De!" Elijah bidding. "Greet the kids!" he said without looking again.
Dede did not reply, his gaze not shifting from a handsome face that was very similar to Evan. His mouth stuttered, as he tried to say something but his voice was stuck in his throat.
Denta glanced at Dede and smiled faintly, then disappeared into his car.
Dede was still frozen staring at the vehicle like seeing a ghost.
"Gue pen to my om place for a while," Elijah said after they left campus, unaware of what was happening. "Gue Pen took the book."
"Where's the address?" ask Denta. Then turn after Elijah says Bang Wi's address.
Approaching the alley to Bang Wi's house, Denta left his car in front of a minimarket.
Elijah spontaneously frowned. "Why park here? At home I have a large yard, really! Can park the car."
Denta responded with a thin smile, "There's something I want to buy," he said flatly.
Elijah sighed and forced a smile, then opened the door and slipped out.
Denta watched him with a frown, like he was thinking hard. But then sighed and chuckled thinly while dropping his head onto the seatback. He didn't even come out after Elijah left.
Again, Elijah was unaware of what was going on.
The girl had already reached the yard when she found the front door of her uncle's house wide open.
He rushed inside and froze at the dining room door. Feeling stung to see the two faces he avoided the most—-Evan and Cici Maria.
Why are they here?
Why did the shucks take Mary to my house?
Are they dating now?
"Gee!" exclaimed his uncle near the stove.
Evan and Cici Maria simultaneously turned to the door and gasped.
Elijah gulped and tightened his jaw. Yeah, he thought it was burning. They are dating! If not why come here only they are both-duaan? He concluded. Then turned to his room.
Crunching and thunderous thumping sounds rang out from the dining room.
"Gee!" Evan screeched and ran from the kitchen door.
Elijah didn't touch him. He rushed into his room, gathered all his belongings and packed them in a hurry.
"Where else are you going?" his uncle shouted in anger at the door of his room.
"Gue's got a place to stay, Om!" elijah said without looking.
"Lu sure you still want to cost?" His uncle asked again.
Elijah didn't touch him either.
The two men at the door of his room exchanged looks.
Evan emboldens himself to enter the room and approaches Elijah, "Lea—"
Elijah closed his suitcase violently and dragged it no less rough. Then rushed out past Evan, pushing his uncle with a gluttonous attitude.
"Gee!" Bang Wi flinched and wide. Surprised to see his nephew.
Evan froze in place, staring at Elijah's back with a hurt feeling.
