Chapter 62: Aswad 9 of 15 “The sad ones from past” (Part 09)
Putting on a happy smile, the thin Hanfu-clad girl bowed slightly and said, “As you know, I am the Second Emperor of the Urzia Empire. The possessor of Pure Eternity and the holder of the throne of the land of the Demi-humans. My name is Cai Xi Shou, the clan given to me is Mao, and Naraka is the name that comes with this curse of immortality. You can call me as you please.”
Odo's eyes briefly turned toward the people lying on the floor, feeling anxious about their condition and unable to focus on the conversation. Realizing this, the Emperor put on a big smile and returned to action, “Tenakan, I just took their souls. Because they are too noisy and keep asking questions that are not important.”
The Immortal Emperor flicked his finger, bringing out the souls he had taken from the people lying on the floor. A bright white ball that had a tail, floated in the air and was the same number as those lying down. That was their soul taken by the Emperor that could easily manipulate life and death.
“Why are you here? Shouldn't you be in the office and being interrogated?” ask Odo while thinking of ways to deal with the situation.
Tilting his head slightly and putting on a thin smile, the Emperor replied, “The little red-haired girl is very noisy and asks unnecessary things. Therefore, I slightly manipulated his soul and made him escort us to this place. But when we arrive, here it is even more crowded ...”
“So you took their souls all, huh?”
“Fright!”
Odo smiled wryly at the crazy-sounding answer. A person who can manipulate life and death by touch, without hesitation seizes the souls of others and acts at will without thinking about those around him. The full combination of problems really made Odo sick to the point that he felt like resigning and following the Emperor's offer.
“I know you don't like what's happening now.” While walking towards Odo, the black-haired girl offered, “How about we make a deal? If you come with me, the souls of all the people in this place will be my return.”
Odo was at a glance speechless at his words, stared flatly and made a decision in his mind. Suppressing the opening of his right glove, the black-haired youth took out a silver dagger from the storage dimension. “Lord of Life and Death, or it could be called The Immortal Tao System .... A power to manipulate life and death.”
“Tap .... Already I suspect you look like him, consider this curse is just an array of information.”
The Emperor's footsteps came to a halt when he saw Odo pick up a sharp object. His face looked a little surprised, started to unsettle and his body trembled. It was not out of fear that Odo would attack him, but rather that the young man would slit his own throat and commit suicide with the dagger. Recalling how the first emperor died, the shadow was clearly visible in his vision.

Lord of Life and Death, the power of manipulation of life and death is not absolute and versatile. The owner of the power cannot bring to life a person who dies not because of himself, then can only share his life energy with the dying person on condition that the dying person will accept it.
Another fatal deficiency of such power is the loss of the state of death of the owner of the power. All the cells in the owner will be forced to live in harmony with his soul and make him unable to die unless his soul is destroyed. But one of the stages of soul destruction is to escape from the body first, then it can be decomposed in the flow of life. In other words, death was almost completely unobtainable from an owner of the power of the Lord of Life and Death.
“Please don't talk like that! Put the dagger!” the Emperor panicked.
Fai Fengying got up from the seat and prepared to stop Odo if the young man was about to thrust a dagger at himself. So did the slave girl who lifted the Emperor's hair, she was seen taking something from his Hanfu arm and looked very alert.
Odo did not listen to the Emperor. The purpose of taking the dagger was not to make his own life a guarantee, but rather to start a short ritual. “You need not fear, I am not a fool who does not value his own life.”
Odo pulled out a silver dagger from his left hand, then dropped it and stuck it vertically on the floor. At first glance the Emperor felt strange that the sharp object fell in such an upright standing position, but he quickly looked back anxiously at the young man and said, “Grow your hand, please, let myself close that wound ..”
Odo did not listen to him and immediately took off his bloodstained left glove, then threw it towards the Emperor. The footsteps of the extremely long black hair girl figure came to a halt, reflexively catching the glove with both hands.
“I don't want to damage this place,” said the young man with black hair while extending his left hand forward.
Within seconds, the dagger and blood dripping on the floor triggered the entire magic formula that was in the Ordoxi Nigrum shop building. The runes on the wall surface, the Magic Reactor in the basement, as well as all the magic structures in the building began to synchronize and make Odo the center.
At the moment the young man with black hair flicked the finger of his left hand that was outstretched forward, a magic formula in a giant workshop makes it a Pseudo-God — A pseudo-form of god because it has accessed a higher dimension using Personal Reality expanded by a magic formula in its place.
“Which Started, it seems like he was already very angry. Please, can His Majesty restore their souls? Let's talk carefully with him,” Fai Fengying persuaded the Emperor.

Odo began making two other pairs of hands using the aura emanating from his body. It was at a glance like a Mana compaction technique, but the movements of the two pairs of hands that seemed to grow from his back looked lively and more flexible. Uniting the palms, the pseudo hands enter the position as if praying.
“This is just a manipulation of Unfar, what you now call Ancient Magic.”
Odo clapped his hands a second time using the main pair of hands, then one of the pairs of pseudo hands formed Mudra Harmony. Within seconds, the young man accessed the power of a man named Matthew Mitus who was sleeping on the third floor and performed a forced activation.
The surface of the floor on which Odo stood was instantly filled with puddles of luminous water, a sign of the active power of Matthew Mitus' Puddle. Realizing that something was awkward with a puddle that suddenly appeared filled the room, Fai Fengying immediately spat out a mini-sized sword from under his tongue.
The size of the Jian-type jade green-colored sword changed normally quickly. With the ancient footstep technique, Fai Fengying instantly shot towards Odo and swung her sword vertically to stop the young man's magic activation. But the slash was easily held back by Odo's last pair of pseudo hands, squeezed with both palms and completely locked before hitting the young man's right shoulder.

Fai Fengying immediately gathered his inner energy into the left palm, then launched a tread blow towards Odo's face accurately. But before his attack hit the target, both of Fai Fengying's legs were drawn into a pool of glowing water and made his tread blow miss.
Releasing the held sword, the two pseudo hands that came out from Odo's back instantly hit both sides of Fai Fengying's shoulders and made him mired into a puddle of water and instantly teleported to another place.
“Tuan Fai!” said the slave girl behind the Emperor. He threw two spell papers at Odo, then immediately make a Special Mudra Shield of Shambala — Shape Mudra by opening the left palm down and placing it over the right hand that is clenched upwards.
The spell paper that shot towards Odo instantly turned into the two martial experts that the young man had previously seen in the town hall. “Shikigami users, yes?” said Odo while re-clapping using the main hand. The pool of water on the floor quickly moved upwards like a bunch of tentacles, then tied the two Shikigami and pulled them into the puddle until they sank.
“Enough already, already said earlier I do not want to damage this place.”
Two pairs of Odo's pseudo-arms formed the Harmony and Absolute Mudra in unison, while the young man's original hands formed the Dimensional Special Mudra. Without allowing himself to be attacked again, Odo immediately immersed the two women into a pool of glowing water and teleported them elsewhere. Of course, at the same time, he was also teleported because he wanted to solve the problem outside the store building.
When the center of the magic formula structure in the building disappeared, the activation immediately dropped and returned to normal. The puddles of glowing water on the floor surface began to disappear, then the people lying on the floor started to wake up and looked confused by what had happened.

Additional Notes :
Deity ; A term for a Mortal being that has power equivalent to a God-Goddess, could affect the Concept of the World directly. In the example, the Emperor could influence the Concepts of Life and Death.
Shikigami; Shikigami are invisible creatures, but can sometimes become invisible by sealing them into paper pieces that have been tattooed and mantras and then called by ritual, shikigami generally takes the form of an animal or person, depending on the soul used to create the Shikigami. It could also be referred to as a Human God or a Mortal God. (Maybe some readers already know.)
