Chapter 16: Proposing Peace Proposals to the Dwarven King

The Devil Race had one goal: to rule the Great Continent of Renovia by making the Human Race, the Elf Race, The Dwarf Race and the Beast Race bowed to them but twice the plan failed due to the defeat of 10th-placed Demon Lord Ganeshia and 9th-placed Demon Lord Vanista. Ayato woke up in a soft mattress with a body full of bandages until difficulty to wake up suddenly Eliona was surprised while crying to see it was awake.

"Where are we?" ayato asked while holding her head which was still aching

"Eddgrial Empire. King Edgar and his daughter named Frey are important figures in the Eddgrial Empire while we welcome them because during the battle against the Demon Race especially holding Demon Lord Vanista!" eliona answered while giving water to Ayato

While drinking water, Ayato stared at herself in a mirror until the status she had appeared due to the ability of her eyes to bounce back at him.

Skill: Instant Slash, Vertical Slash, Horizontal Slash, Verzontal Slash, Circular Slash, Leaded Slash, Wind Magic, Fire Magic, Earth Magic, Water Magic and Lightning Magic.

Ayato realized that defeating a powerful enemy from her would make her status rise. The fight at that time could actually make Ayato die if she fought it alone because Eliona's existence helped her escape the path of death. Seeing that Eliona was not injured immediately made Ayato feel calm until Princess Frey opened the room door suddenly to make them both surprised at her arrival.

Frey approached Ayato who was still lying on the bed while standing next to Eliona, he wanted to give a question regarding their arrival in the Algria Continent and the sword technique ability of the Human Race that fused magic with swords should it be impossible to do because of the hatred of magic towards metal.

"I don't understand at all what the two of you are doing in the Algria Continent if it is intended to help it is absolutely impossible for sure you both have a certain purpose. Tell me that goal!" said Princess Frey in the clothes of the Eddgrial Empire

Ayato wanted to explain her arrival but Eliona looked at Frey with the intention of letting go of the history so that there was no more hostility between the two of them as Ayato kept quiet while listening to the conversation of the two daughters of different races.

"Princess Eliona Grandybell of the Elfanno Empire came to propose a peace proposal to fight the Devil Race and throw out the history of hatred and change it with a new history of working together!" eliona said with a firm tone looking at the two beautiful eyes of Princess Frey

"Princess Frey Lantosia of the Eddgrial Empire welcomes Princess Eliona Grandybell as the guest of honor of King Edgar. It's nice to meet you!" reply Frey smiled without showing his hatred towards Eliona

"Did Princess Frey not hate the Elf Race?" ask Eliona to make sure of the smile

"Seeing the fight of the two of you on the battlefield where maybe I can hate or insult fighters like you from the bottom of your heart, I'm so grateful to have been saved by you two and even my father survived because Princess Eliona healed him regardless of the difference really thank you!" frey replied sincerely

It seemed that the harmony between the two princesses even Ayato smiled because the Dwarf Race had begun to understand about the history of hatred which actually makes no sense to continue to hate. Ayato explained her magic sword technique to Frey, who resolved the history of hatred until Frey understood everything that both sides had misunderstood.

"Ayato of the Human Race was a great warrior capable of holding Demon Lord Vanista alone. I'm amazed at the ability you have!" frey said in a formal tone

"There's no need to be formal to me, casual talking is better to hear!" said Ayato with a faint smile

"I like strong fighters like you, Ayato!" frey said with a smile has a hidden purpose

Eliona immediately responded to the remark while closing Frey's gaze from Ayato when she understood his point. Frey tells King Edgar that he wants to meet the two of them when he is able to walk to the palace room when Ayato and Eliona immediately stand up to face the Dwarven King so that the peace proposal is accepted by them.

Ayato and Eliona gave honor to the Dwarven King.

"Thank you so much for accepting my request to be here!" said King Edgar wearing the clothes of the Eddgrial Empire with the wounds on his body healed

Ayato stared at King Edgar's body to make the bodyguard immediately alert but was stopped because King Edgar understood the meaning of the gaze and answered Ayato's curiosity that the Ras Dwarf's technology was very advanced even though it could not use magic but using rune stones then they can do the healing process like a magic.

The rune stone was originally an ordinary stone so carved in detail to form a certain pattern, the rune stone came from the mines of the underworld that had a natural Mana content as it absorbed from the core of the Great Continent of Renovia. The Dwarf race was able to bring out magical abilities from the rune stone until it was used as a resource. Ayato understood all that until her curiosity disappeared and then Eliona presented a peace proposal as proof that the Elves would help the construction outside the Eddgrial Empire which was destroyed overtime by the war against the Demon Lord troops.

"Emperor Elf Vermilion Grandybell turned out to have a daughter as strong as you. Frey what do you think?" asked King Edgar by throwing away his stern expression

"I and my father could have accepted the peace proposal but the fighters and the population could not have taken it for granted. So, a one-on-one fight if you lose then the peace proposal is rejected but won then the peace proposal is accepted very simply!" frey replied with a smile

"Then." Ayato's words were stopped by Eliona who was ready to fight one-on-one against Frey.

Eliona's condition is not as bad as Ayato so she can fight while Frey who has been healed using rune stones is now willing to accept her opponent is Eliona. King Edgar will prepare their battle arena with the fighters and the inhabitants of the Dwarf Race will watch the fight. Just as Ayato did in the Elfanno Empire to unleash the history of the hatred of the Human Race with the Elf Race is now Eliona's turn to unleash the history of hatred between the Elf Race and the Dwarf Race.
