Chapter 19: The First Layer of the Underworld Mine

Along exploring the mines of the underworld with the palace maids guided the two of them towards the location of the first materials that were in layer one. Ayato saw so many monsters with strange shapes as well as small to large sizes. Frey explained in detail about the mines of the underworld that there are five layers with the deeper down the layer the monsters will be stronger.

In this first layer there are two ingredients that can be obtained, namely water slime from a monster named Mucus Slime and stone hair from a monster called Tyrant Turtle. Mucus Slime body is shaped like a ball, does not have eyes, has two hands without fingers and the color of mucus is always changing depending on what Mucus Slime eats. These creatures always group when fighting a dangerous enemy then they will all unite into a Giant Mucus Slime. At that time the water slime will be better quality if they all unite but the way to be killed is quite difficult because physical attacks will not work on him.

The palace attendant stopped while giving a sign of silence then turned into a sign of moving slowly so that Ayato and Frey moved towards the right and left side of the palace servant. Mucus Slime is gathered with thousands because it has the same color so it will be easy to unite them all. The palace maid told Mucus Slime's natural weakness was not fire even Ayato who should have thought that the fire element could weaken the water element but her estimation was wrong.

"There's nothing wrong with Mucus Slime, who evolved from its weakness to its resistance to the fire element, but they are weak to the lightning element because they can damage organ cells in their bodies. So, using lightning was the best way to defeat Mucus Slime because in the party only Ayato could use magic so she had to do it.

"Well I'll do it!" said Ayato while revealing her right palm that instantly let out a stream of electricity

Ayato came out of hiding while Frey and the palace maid made a fuss to the point of panicking Mucus Slime then moved quickly to pull herself together. The moment all the bodies of Mucus Slime fused how shocked Ayato was to see their bodies like humans but with a sinister form.

"Kill him Ayato!" frey shouted in an excited tone

[Raungan]

The Giant Mucus Slime ran into Ayato at standard speed. There was no movement just staring at the Giant Mucus Slime who was getting closer by opening the right palm while the left was tightly closed as soon as the electricity flowed throughout his right hand Ayato.

The Giant Mucus Slime chose to lash at Ayato to swallow her whole into their body suddenly the underworld cloud turned black right above the Giant Mucus Slime then let out a very loud thunder her voice.

Lightning Magic: Thunder!

The lightning immediately struck the body of the Giant Mucus Slime until their bodies separated because the lightning instantly made thousands of Mucus Slime unable to move at all. The palace maid told the two of them to collect as much Mucus Slime slime as possible by putting it in a large bottle whose appearance suddenly came out of Frey's hands.

The size of the bottle was quite large because Ayato looked confused, Frey explained that there was the ability of the Dwarf Race, the Dwarf Mark. This ability allowed the Dwarves to summon anything they marked with an ancient engraving or symbol of the Eddgrial Empire. Each born Dwarf Race would slowly appear an ancient symbol mark on the left palm but it was rarely used because of its use which was quite difficult to give a mark to goods.

"That ability isn't something so terrible?" asked Ayato with a surprised expression

"The feeling of this ability is ordinary!" frey replied while revealing the ancient symbol on his left palm

"Imagine giving a sign to a mountain, a sea of water, fire, wind and many more and calling it then it has been said to use large-scale magic. For example, Frey marks every magic I cast on you and calls out to her so that my magic will be yours!" said Ayato with the idea of a fairly mind that surprised them both

Frey stared at the old Dwarf Mark in the palm of his left hand by imagining he could use these abilities as he wished. Ayato and the palace attendants finally finished collecting the water slime then Frey who was surprised because of the long daydream immediately returned the bottle filled with water mucus back to the palace warehouse.

"Practice once then is Tyrant Turtle!" said Ayato while waiting for an explanation from the palace maid

Because Frey was still daydreaming about what Ayato had said before then the palace maid started explaining it. Tyrant Turtle is the second material that is stone hair, the appearance of this turtle-shaped monster with a protective shell turns upright and hard hair coated with rocks to moss green. This monster did not want to attack its opponent so chose to take refuge in the shell with its hard hair that could hurt the enemy if it forced to destroy the Tyrant Turtle's shell.

The size of this monster is quite different from its own name because the name refers to its strong shell like a tyrant because it is difficult to penetrate and very dangerous if forced to destroy it. The palace attendants brought Ayato with Frey who finally did not daydream anymore to the habitat of the Tyrant Turtle with a location not far from where they had been before.

Reaching the habitat of the Tyrant Turtle which is considered very terrible because they walk on the lava of the volcano Sontak Ayato does not care about the monster's priesthood while Frey wants to keep one if possible he can lift the Turtle Tyrant it weighs like a hill. Ayato was increasingly surprised by the weight of those who could move normally and it was not even wrong that this monster would prefer such a monstrous habitat to be shunned by predators.

"Mr Ayato used earth magic to form a safe foothold so that we don't burn or melt?" said the palace maid confusedly between the two words

"The point of dying is that don't give such a horror atmosphere!" yelled Ayato terrified at the flat expression of the palace maid

Frey advanced first while directing Dwarf Mark right at Tyrant Turtle until he shouted very loudly to give a sign to the monster. Ayato and the palace attendants were surprised to see the Dwarf Mark formed on the shell of Tyrant Turtle then Frey summoned the monster to be in their place. Successfully doing what Ayato just explained makes Frey more and more want to hone these skills.

"What a great Frey! Just now it's according to what I explained earlier!" said Ayato excitedly

[Smiling]

"Thank you Ayato for giving me the hint to be stronger!" frey's reply still remembers his defeat against Vanista and Eliona

That sweet smile made Ayato turn her face away from revealing her facial expression but the palace maid smiled faintly to that behavior. The three of them pulled out the stone hair of Tyrant Turtle who had been hiding inside his shell turned out to pull out the stone hair so easily that there was no action of fighting except to pull out with both hands.

After successfully obtaining the second material, the three of them headed for the second layer to get the salamander breath material and eagle silk feathers. The palace maidservants guided towards the location of the second layer with Ayato preparing herself as the further down the monsters would get stronger.
