Chapter 32: The Difficult Exercises Regarding Mental And Emotion

Another week passed. Their journey was halted because the food supply was already severely depleted while their current place was in a dry land without any animal and plant life. Ayato thought hard so that they could get out of the dry ground place but the entire footstep of the horse kept walking herself completely finding no way out.

"I feel like there's something weird about this place!" yuer said staring at the sky where the ground is dry

The hot weather was increasing every minute, there was no sign of anything but dry land and their journey seemed to be repeated over and over. The Elf race was so unfamiliar with the hot weather that it resulted in Eliona experiencing excess body heat that her head felt blistered.

Frey takes care of her best friend by using the cold water she calls through the Dwarf Mark but her body heat increases instantly making Ayato and Yuer panic to overcome both problems. Ancient Magic overcomes Eliona's slight heat while Frey tries to drink cold water and Ayato still insists on breaking what is happening in this dry land.

He had seen many times from afar where the dry land seemed to emit a strange shadow when approaching it suddenly the strange shadow instantly disappeared with them instead like repeating in the same place. Ayato focused on the strange shadow as Eliona's condition worsened, making her serious about capturing the strange shadow.

Wearing Lightning Magic to speed up his movements but still unable to catch the strange shadow that the loss exceeded the speed of his footsteps. Ayato rethinking the way to capture the strange shadow by trying to think of the idea that the strange shadow did not disappear from above made Ayato realize something very strange.

Sunlight changes position by shining on the north while initially illuminating the west. Ayato tried to do the same thing by aiming for a strange shadow using Lightning Magic all over her body and then trying to catch a strange shadow as soon as her guess turned out to be appropriate because the sunlight changed position by shining on the south.

Yuer gets out of the horse carriage while warning Ayato that Eliona's condition is getting worse so she won't be able to last a few more minutes. Frey tries desperately to save his best friend while Ayato who knows that Eliona will not last long makes him immediately draw the final conclusion about the dry land.

"Yuer this is my final conclusion if it is true then we will all be saved if it is wrong which means this journey stops for good! Look at that strange shadow it seems like he is controlling the dry ground place so that it closes the exit by continuously repeating or changing the exit in the other direction! The heat is increasing every exit chosen changes new. The point is that the direction of the sunlight is the way out but that strange shadow beam doesn't want us to get out of this place!" said Ayato while admonishing

"Then what's your plan, Ayato?" asked Yuer with a slightly strange attitude than usual

"Yuer you're a little weird where's your panicked expression? Eliona's in danger where's your panicked expression?" asked Ayato twice to Yuer's figure with a flat expression

Frey exits the horse-drawn carriage crying hysterically hugging the lifeless corpse of Eliona when there were still a few minutes but Yuer seems to be lying.

"He's dead!" yuer said with a flat face

Ayato's mind exploded instantly inside and continued to stare at Eliona's corpse with a feeling of wanting to vent all the emotions that were inside her. Frey grew louder in tears while Yuer kept asking how to get out of their condition so that Ayato was more depressed in a hallucination turned out Yuer deliberately did that to three students who were asleep.

Actually, their place is currently on a high hill with a very strong wind. Yuer used Ancient Magic to protect them from the strong gusts of wind and proposed a drill to his three disciples. A difficult exercise that can improve mental and emotional well-being because Yuer wants her three students to be able to control both.

Two hours passed making Yuer surprised because Eliona and Frey managed to escape the hallucinations that made it very terrible like reality. Eliona gets a hallucination of Ayato being killed by an unknown monster figure with Frey and Yuer being defeated very easily while Frey gets a hallucination of Ayato's death, Eliona and Yuer get stuck in the barrier making it hard to get out of the place resulting in her partner dying of starvation and Frey is the only survivor.

But Eliona finds out that it's just a hallucination that she can deal with the problem calmly as well as Frey because she did the same. The two of them succeeded but Ayato still did not show that she was trapped in a hallucination even Yuer felt an enormous Mana Flow start coming out from Ayato's body.

Yuer was forced to see the hallucinations that Ayato had when it opened how surprised she was to see a large hole created in the dry land. Yuer tries to find the whereabouts of Ayato turns out she dueled Yuer in a hallucination for the reason of already killing Eliona and Frey. At the hallucination Yuer is the villain who killed both of Ayato's friends and here is needed mentally with strong emotions so as not to release all the overflows of these two things.

However, Ayato vaporized all her emotions until the Dark Magic engulfed her soul resulting in Yuer being killed with a great power appearing on Ayato's body. The angry gaze from Ayato made Yuer immediately release the hallucination when Ayato regained her calm sleep with the condition of the Mana Flow back to normal. Yuer did not expect that Ayato could unleash a number of Mana Streams although not as large as hers but had a thickness so unreasonable that it could break all Ancient Magic while dueling in hallucinations.

"You guys Eliona and Frey got away but Ayato didn't make it because she still can't control her mental and emotional well-being but don't tell her about any of this because it will make her think about the problem. So, pretend that it's all just a nightmare not from the hard training I gave you. Understood!" yuer said firmly

"Good!" eliona and Frey said while watching Ayato sleep
