Yu Qi woke up at six in the morning. The other female soldiers had also gotten up and headed for their morning run. He also joined them. They met a male soldier on the street. Female soldiers became an attraction for male soldiers.

After breakfast, Yu Qi and Ding Na An went to the medical section to report themselves. In the medical section, there are three doctors and about ten nurses. One of his doctors was a woman named Xin Rin. The other two doctors were Dongfang Mo and Zheng Yiwu. They all welcomed Yu Qi and Ding Na An.

“Welcome, welcome. Finally, we have new cute girls here.” said Dongfang Mo. “I'm almost tired of seeing Rin Rin here.”

“Huh, do you think I'm happy here with you? If Yiwu wasn't here, I wouldn't be here with you.” Xin Rin snorted.

“Quiet, calm ...” Zheng Yiwu smiled. He then saw two new girls. “Welcome. Sorry for showing something like this. I'm head over here. We have got your details.” 

He looked at Ding Na An. “You are Ding Na An, right?”

Ding Na An nodded. “Ya, doctor.”

“I Zheng Yiwu. You can call me Doctor Zheng.” Then he looked at Yu Qi. “And you are Tang Yu Qi, right?” 

Yu Qi nodded.

“Well, this is Doctor Xin Rin and Doctor Dongfang Mo. We've been stationed here for about a year. If you have any questions, you can ask me or them.” Zheng Yiwu smiled.

“Ya pack.” Yu Qi and Ding Na An replied simultaneously.

“Doctor Xin and I will go around Chongbei City and look for someone who is seeking medical treatment. Would you like to join us?” Zheng Yiwu asked.

“This will be our pleasure.” Yu Qi and Ding Na An replied.

The three doctors were surprised by the two girls' answers. They thought the girls would reject their invitation. They thought the girls would rather stay in this place. But the girls seemed excited to go outside. 

 “Are you sure?” Xin Rin asked.

“Hah? Why are you asking that?” Yu Qi did not understand

“Yes, we think you would rather stay here than roam around in an unsafe city.” Xin Rin just smiled. 

“If we will just stay here, for fear of going around the city, we will choose another place. Not here.” said Yu Qi.

“Wait. Are you saying that you two have really chosen to come to this city?” Dongfang Mo asked for confirmation because he did not believe what the girl had said just now.

“Yes. We have chosen this place to come here as volunteers. Is there something wrong with that?” Yu Qi looked at Ding Na An.

“Yes geez. You two are angels.” said Dongfang Mo.

“Hah?” 

The girls looked at each other with question marks on their faces. 

“Actually, most volunteers who come to this city usually come because they are forced. Actually they don't want to come. So, when you two say choose this city by yourself, it was quite surprising for us.” Zheng Yiwu explained. 

“Oh so.” Ding Na An nodded. 

“Alright, let's go. Dongfang, don't flirt with the nurse. Do your job.” Xin Rin reminded Dongfang Mo. 

“Huh! I just wanted to ask you the same thing. Don't tease each other.” Dongfang Mo rolled his eyes.

They went with three nurses. 

“There are some rules I need to inform you both.” Xin Rin said after they got into the van.

“First, don't go anywhere alone. If you want to treat someone, make sure to bring one of our people. Second, do not quickly trust people here let alone children. If you feel something is wrong, run and save yourself. . Lastly, be sure to have something on your body that can protect you from those.” Xin Rin told them the rules.

“We understand, Doctor Xin. We will remember that rule.”

Rumors of two beautiful girls coming to their military compound spread among the male soldiers. Some of them went to the health post on the grounds of illness just to visit the two girls.

Almost a month had passed since the two girls came to Chongbei City. Yu Qi and Ding Na An took turns working on it. If Yu Qi stayed at the medical post to treat sick or injured soldiers, Ding Na An would follow other doctors and their team to check around the city.

The soldiers disappeared into their posts. Some of them went to their missions, some of them went to the training area. Like the other doctors, Yu Qi and Ding Na An went to the medical post. 

“That's it, isn't it?” ask Ding Na An.

“Ya.” Yu Qi understood who Ding Na An meant by ‘itu’.

“I think he kind of misses you.” said Ding Na An.

Yu Qi only smiled as he listened to Ding Na An. He misses her too. But now, it was not the right time for them to meet.

When Yu Qi remembered the call, he knew that his information that he had gone to Chongbei City was leaked to him. He probably thought it was dangerous for him to come here for volunteer work. 

However, he did not bother her at all. He just looked at her and smiled at her because they were going to pass each other.

Long Hui became the man that the female soldiers wanted. Every night, Yu Qi would listen to the other female soldiers as they would gossip about Long Hui, especially Lang Jiang Ye.

“I think Colonel Long likes me.” Lang Jiang Ye said shyly. 

“Stop dreaming.” Another female soldier rolled her eyes.

“I know you'll be jealous.” Lang Jiang Ye smirked arrogantly.

“What makes you think that Colonel Long likes you?” Another female soldier asked.

“He will always smile whenever he sees me.” Lang Jiang Ye said proudly.

Ding Na An looked at Yu Qi. Yu Qi did not seem to give much of a reaction about what Lang Jiang Ye said. Ding Na An knew that Long Hui was smiling at his friend. Lang Jiang Ye was consistently standing in front of Yu Qi making Lang Jiang Ye think Long Hui was smiling at him.

“Yu Qi, today it's your turn to come out. You will follow Doctor Dongfang.” Zheng Yiwu told them.

“Alright, daughter Yu Qi, let's go and take care of someone.” Dongfang Mo teased Yu Qi.

“Ya, yes, let's go.” Yu Qi ignored the tone and stepped forward. 

“Yu Qi, you hurt my heart.” Dongfang Mo acted like a heartbroken person. 

After interacting with Dongfang Mo for about a month, he knew his character. He is a very relaxed person and likes to joke around. 

“Hearts.” Zheng Yiwu advised their team.

“Ya pack.” All of them answered and saluted Zheng Yiwu as an ordinary soldier.

The medical team will go to their village once a month.

There is not enough medication for all patients. So, Dongfang Mo asked the soldiers to return to the medical post and bring the medicine.
