Refusing Matchmaking

Refusing Matchmaking
Chapter 30

Laura felt very upset at John, because the man was still silent without saying a word. John doesn't seem to want to tell Agatha about their relationship, pretending only to make Agatha stop dating John with the woman of her choice. Laura looked seriously at John's face, trying to figure out what was the reason that led John to reject his suggestion.

Laura tied up her long hair, she still did not understand what John really wanted. "Come on John, you have to tell your grandmother that. Don't you feel sorry for him? He's a very nice person and certainly loves you very much" said Laura who again pleaded because John still did not care about all his words.

"If I tell my grandmother the truth, I'm pretty sure that she'll get me back to her choice of woman. And I don't want it to happen again" John said, staring at Laura's beautiful bead.

Laura sighed long enough, it was useless that she spoke a lot because John did not listen to her at all and only thought about his own interests without caring about others. Laura was increasingly convinced that John was a very stubborn man and so difficult to give advice.

"He did that because maybe that's what's best for you John" Lirih Laura said in a voice that sounded a little slower than before.

"What if we get married? So we don't have to play anymore in front of my grandmother and my family" John said enthusiastically looking like a happy little boy who got what he wanted.

Laura was silent and seemed to not believe what John had said earlier. The man easily asked her to marry, how would it be if the marriage was not based on love? John would only think about his life, it was obvious at this time that the man was very selfish. Think Laura.

"How's it?" John asked with a face that looked hopeful for Laura to agree with the opinion she had said earlier.

Laura did not answer John's words, she just laughed very loudly and made John look at Laura with question marks. "You're so easy to say that we'd better get married? Marriage is not something that John can play with, marriage should only be done when both love and understand each other. Not just thinking about the wishes of one of them," Laura said as she looked at John seriously. He had to tell John to think better, not just think of his wishes.

"Alright, let me know when you're ready to tell your grandmother about our relationship. I'm going home because there's still a lot of important work to do," Laura said to get up from her seat and leave John who was still silent in the chair while staring at Laura's steps that were getting away.

John was still silent and trying to find a way out, what was he supposed to do? Does John have to end his play or keep his sansdiwa so he can still be with Laura? John looks very depressed and frustrated, he has to be stuck with the game he has made. Laura, the woman she paid to be her pretended lover is now a woman capable of making her fall in love.

John's gaze was now fixed on the door of his room that opened and saw a handsome man with a body that looked very large and sturdy. The man smiled and approached her. John is speechless as he feels very happy to be reunited with William, his older brother whom he has not seen for a very long time.

"How are you John?" William asked, patting John on the shoulder.

"As you can see. I'm always okay, I should have asked you. Are you all right? Or did something happen and you came here to tell me?" Asked John who was very sure if William's arrival to see him would only tell about his household problems. That's how his three brothers just came and told all their problems without thinking that this time John was faced with a problem.

William laughed at the words that came out of John's mouth. "You know," William said with a laugh. "I'm officially divorced from my wife John" William said in a voice that sounded very slow, perhaps William felt very hearty with his ex-wife.

"I'm so sad to hear your bad news, brother" John said as he hugged William with a glance and sat back in his chair.

William was seen sighing, "From the beginning I've felt that I didn't match my grandmother's choice. And be sure now, our marriage is only a corn, '" William said as he looked at his sister's face.

John felt increasingly depressed and again remembered the threat of Agatha, if within three months he was still not married to Laura then Agatha will return to match John with the woman of her choice. And John didn't want any of that to happen.
