Refusing Matchmaking
Chapter 6

The woman looked like she was carrying a rice box in her hand, and without any delay the woman began to walk and approach John who still did not stop to look at the foreign woman. John was silent for a moment as the woman placed the rice box right on her desk.

"Are you Jonathan?" The foreign woman asked with a friendly smile at John.

John had thought that this woman was one of Agatha's choices and would definitely be his future wife because she was betrothed by her grandmother. John sighed violently because he felt very upset at his grandmother who never stopped to match him with the woman his grandmother chose.

"I'm Alexa! And I was ordered to come here by your grandmother to deliver this lunch," Alexa said, pointing to the rice box she had brought earlier.

"I can guess it. And thanks for this. But I'm sorry I can't accept this because I have an appointment to see someone right now" said John, who tries to avoid Alexa by playing with his phone, which he doesn't have to keep.

John glanced at the woman named Alexa, the woman looked very upset because now she started pursing her lips. John strongly acknowledges that if Alexa is different from Megan, Alexa is calmer and not aggressive like Megan. But still, it was not easy for John to accept a woman he did not know at all. Especially if the woman was the choice of her grandmother, she had made sure if everything would be destroyed like her brother's third household.

"But I've brought this for you John! Come on, let's have lunch together here" Alexa sounded like she was begging John with her soft voice. But absolutely cannot shake the decision that John has taken.

John again sighed harshly, there was actually a bad feeling if he refused to eat lunch with Alexa. But he immediately dismissed his thoughts and returned to his determination that he had thought of some time ago to not give the slightest hope to the woman his choice of grandmother.

"Well," said the woman, bringing back the rice box she had brought for John.

John still looks very upset and decided not to eat lunch today, his hunger just disappeared because of the arrival of Alexa to his study. John prefers to rest his body on a sofa and close his eyes for a moment.

John grabbed his phone and immediately contacted someone who was none other than Agatha, his grandmother who was at home. He contacted his grandmother intending to ask her to stop telling foreign women to meet him anywhere.

"Enough Grandma! I don't want to see a foreign woman bothering me like this!" John crossed his legs.

"Grandma just wants what's best for you John! Alexa's a good woman and grandma's pretty sure you'll be happy with her" Agatha said from across the street trying to persuade John.

"No grandma! Stop all your desire to match me to a woman I don't know!" John said, ending his call with Agatha.

John kept his phone back and chose to lean back and close his eyes to fall asleep for a while. The fatigue is now very pronounced and John really needs time to rest for a moment.
