Chapter 186: Sunlong Confession
After being threatened by Xiao Tian, Sunlong was finally forced to explain everything he knew.
Based on his explanation, Xiao Tian could not feel the power as a Combat God due to the black ball of light that continued to absorb most of Xiao Tian's God energy.
He also explained that the reason behind the destruction of the two illusory chains binding Xiao Tian's legs while being uncontrollable, was thanks to his help sacrificing his own cultivation. The aftermath of sacrificing cultivation made Sunlong's body return to the mini version like a helpless little red lizard.
Hearing Sunlong's explanation, Xiao Tian asked, "If you did help me, why didn't you tell me from earlier?"
You even tried to run away from my question."
"Oh yeah, didn't you also say that you've been up ever since I looked into my teacher's dead eyes."

"It's none of your business!" Sunlong turned his face to the right like a child trying to hide something.
"Please answer my question correctly," Xiao Tian said as he brought his lightning-lined left hand closer to the silver chain that bound Sunlong.
Hearing the sound of electric sparks coming from Xiao Tian's hand, Sunlong immediately let out a cold sweat around his forehead followed by his heart beating even tighter from fear. Sunlong felt afraid because he did not want to feel the electric shock anymore, all his fear was raised because his body which now could not withstand the slightest electric shock. His current body could only withstand a fire attack that was not too hot. While the attack of other elements will be able to make it tormented.
While looking at Sunlong with a threatening look, Xiao Tian said, "You sure you don't want to answer my question?"
"Damn it, this boy really gave me no other choice," thought Sunlong, clenching his hands.
"Did you think you could threaten me?" sunlong said as he tried to outwit Xiao Tian.
Sunlong tried to deceive Xiao Tian by acting as if he was unafraid of the electricity in Xiao Tian's hands. Unfortunately the plan did not go according to plan, Xiao Tian continued to bring the hand of the electric blanket to the silver chain regardless of Sunling's words.
Sunlong grew even more frightened and could not help himself anymore because he saw Xiao Tian continue to bring the thunderbolt-covered hand closer to the silver chain. Plus Xiao Tian also looked at Sunlong seriously without the slightest hesitation.
When Xiao Tian almost pressed his hand covered in lightning, Sunlong became even more panicked and said,
"Yes yes, I'll answer your question. But please get rid of your left hand first!" sunlong said with his panicked face.
After hearing Sunlong's reply, Xiao Tian immediately put away his electrically-coated hand from the silver chain connected to Sunlong's neck.
Sunlong breathed a sigh of relief after Xiao Tian put away the electricity that could shock him.
Having promised and had no other choice but to answer all of Xiao Tian's questions, Sunlong recounted everything that had happened from the start he had woken up until his spirit was thrown out of Xiao Tian's back.
Sunlong explained that he had actually risen since Xiao Tian had looked into the eyes of the corpse of the Medicine God. However most of his abilities were sealed by the power of the black ray ball that possessed Xiao Tian's body.
Various ways he had done to remove the black seal that coiled around his neck, but all his efforts were fruitless.
Due to losing most of his strength he was unable to contact Xiao Tian via telepathy. Let alone telepathy, to speak only he had trouble.
When Xiao Tian was out of control, his spirit was also in the mind realm where Sunlong was. So that Sunlong could see Xiao Tian's spirit clearly. However, Xiao Tian could not see it because Sunlong was far behind his back.
Moreover, even Sunlong's spirit fared the same as Xiao Tian's spirit. He was also bound by an illusionary chain that prevented him from moving. But the chain of illusions that binds Sunlong's body is much more because he actually does not have the slightest element of light. While Xiao Tian was only bound by the two illusory chains on his feet as it still had a bit of light-type qi element. Therefore, Xiao Tian could still move and attempt to resist. After sacrificing his cultivation to help Xiao Tian, his huge body shrank to a mini size. The wings on his back disappeared so he again looked like an ordinary red lizard. Not only that, from then on he had also become so weak and helpless from losing all of his cultivation.
Right after Sunlong returned to his mini size, the illusory chain at Xiao Tian's feet shattered. Along with the destruction of the illusion chain, Xiao Tian's spirit disappeared from Sunlong's sight as it returned to the real world where his body was.
After Xiao Tian managed to escape from the chain of illusions, Sunlong smiled in relief.
However, the black seal on his neck did not disappear, nor did the four illusory chains that continued to bind him.
Not only did the bond continue to tighten and hurt Sunlong, the black aura slowly crept from the tip of the illusion chain until it stuck to Sunlong's tiny ankle and hand.

After the white light enveloped Sunlong's body, the four coiled chains and dark circles around his neck began to disintegrate without a remnant. Not yet had Sunlong understood what had just happened, there was a wave of power that pushed him out of the mind and ended up crashing into the wall because of the white light that had not disappeared from his body.
After hearing Sunlong's explanation, Xiao Tian nodded his head. Ersign that he had understood all the meaning of Sunlong's words.
"I see, in other words the God of Lightning has freed you from the shackles of black rays. He also pretended not to know about your helplessness in order for you to admit everything yourself," Xiao Tian said as he frowned.
For not accepting Xiao Tian's words that offended his defeat to the black light. Sunlong's face immediately looked annoyed, after taking a deep breath he said,
"Who said that if I was helpless, you were the one who was helpless. A demon Emperor like me would not possibly lose to such a weak ray!"
"If my strength had returned I would have destroyed that black sphere of light from your body!" replied Sunlong in a high tone.
"Oh .. " Xiao Tian looked at Sunlong with a flat gaze. Regardless of Sunlong he immediately slept facing Su Yan.
"Hey wait don't ignore me, if you want to sleep cancel our contract and release this silver chain!" snapped Sunlong.
Xiao Tian looked at Sunlong with a cold gaze then said, "Do you want to be electrocuted again?"
Sunlong instantly closed his mouth and pretended to sleep behind Xiao Tian's back.
"Damn it, why do I have to suffer like this. I miss my days as one of the Demon Emperors."
After closing their eyes for quite a while, Su Yan woke Xiao Tian up after standing guard in place of Taiwu.
"Sorry chief, I have to wake you up. Now it's your turn to stand guard. I have been on guard for quite a while after replacing Taiwu," Su Yan said as he shook Xiao Tian's body.
After opening his eyes, Xiao Tian immediately looked at Su Yan and said,
"Ah, is it my turn?"
"All right then." Xiao Tian walked out of the house then stood guard on the roof while watching the entire surrounding area.
While Sunlong was forced to go to the roof, because of the silver chain that was connected to Xiao Tian's right hand.
Looking up at the starry sky, Xiao Tian said,
"Sunlong, can you consider me a friend from now on?"
"If we spend a lot of time together, and I help you a lot when you're in trouble. It doesn't mean I've recognized you as my friend. I did it because you were my master. We are bound by the spiritual contract. If something bad happens to you, then I will feel the same way. You can even feel twice as much as you feel."
"When you're so badly hurt by a hard-won fight, then I'm also in great pain."
"When you lose your life, I too will disappear from this world."
"I've been helping you all this time not to get closer to you. Or even want to make you my friend. Except to save my own life."
"When the contract between us has ended or disappeared, then our relationship will end at that time. I'm still the same as I used to be, I'll never want to think of a human being as my friend again. Xiao Tian smiled looking at Sunlong.
Seeing Xiao Tian's sincere smile, Sunlong was filled with puzzling thoughts. He knew that Xiao Tian was different from most humans. However, his trauma towards the betrayal of a trusted friend made him still doubt Xiao Tian's sincere smile.
He does not want to be friends with humans because he does not want to feel the pain of being betrayed again.
"I can't hesitate anymore, no man can be trusted. All humans were the same, and Xiao Tian was one of them. Although Xiao Tian looks different than most humans treat demons, I must not let go," thought Sunlong as he clenched his hands together so tightly.
Seeing Sunlong arrive suddenly look tense made Xiao Tian feel sad. Although Sunlong did not say his heart, Xiao Tian was still able to understand Sunlong's current thoughts. Just by looking at his expression alone he could tell that Sunlong still could not believe him as a friend.
Sunlong is still bound by his dark past. Where all his descendants were once wiped out by the hunter a man he trusted so much. He had never expected that the human whom he had regarded as a true friend, turned out to be the supreme leader of the group of demon hunters.
His heart was so broken, each time remembering when all his descendants were slaughtered right before his own eyes. And what made him feel even more devastated was knowing that the mastermind behind the extermination of the pure descendant of the dragon demon was his own best friend who he believed so much. Sunlong's first and last friend from the human race.
"I cannot melt, all men are the same. They just look good at the beginning. Even though it looks good up front, humans can become unforgiving demons."
"I can't trust a human being anymore, just once I feel the pain of being betrayed. I don't need a friend to get on with my life. After finding a way to escape from the martial spirit bond, I must quickly leave Xiao Tian so as not to sink so deep in trust towards humans," Sunlong thought as he clenched his hands so tightly.
After thinking so hard, Sunlong continued to stare at the star-filled sky with teary eyes. He continued to look up at the sky while imagining all of his descendants that were gone.
"Sunling, Lingzeng and all. Are you all well in heaven?"
"I miss you so much, I've tried many different ways to get my body back. But instead of getting caught in the contractual bonds of martial spirits, forgive my incompetence. Because of my carelessness in choosing enemies, I ended up like this."
"While I've become like this, I won't forget my promise to you."
"I will avenge you by destroying everyone associated with the exterminator when my strength has recovered," Sunlong thought with tears in his eyes.
On that calm night, Sunlong looked up at the sky while remembering his friends and family who had been wiped out by the demon exterminators.
He continued to think about it alone, and did not want to share his sorrow with Xiao Tian who was sitting next to him.
