Chapter 187: An annoying night
Counting fifteen minutes since the time Xiao Tian had stood guard on the rooftop to watch the surrounding area. Sunlong had fallen asleep to the left of his master without feeling the slightest danger.

"Ah sorry, I was forced to pull the silver chain in order to save you," Xiao Tian continued in a low tone.
"Save me from what?" sunlong asked as he looked into Xiao Tian's eyes.
They spoke while still leaping up into the air, as Xiao Tian jumped too high upon learning of a surprise attack.
After hearing Sunlong's question, Xiao Tian said, "look down!" Xiao Tian replied to Sunlong's remark as he gazed towards the black spear that was stuck onto the ground.
After hearing Xiao Tian's reply, Sunlong immediately looked back. But all he saw was a vast empty land.
"Are you trying to play me?"
"I see nothing but your man-made house and the vast, uninhabited darstan. Can you explain why you're strangling my neck?"
sunlong asked in annoyance.
"So there was a black spear covered with death that almost stabbed you, thanks to my help the spear did not land in your stomach. But stuck it to the ground around my man-made house.
"If your story is true, then where is the black spear you're referring to?" sunlong asked in annoyance.
"The spear sank into the ground," Xiao Tian replied in a serious tone.
"What do you mean?"

"I don't feel death at all. There's not even physical evidence that your black spear actually exists. So don't lie to me, man!" said Sunlong with a tinge.
"I don't think your disbelief in humans is still this big, I think you've forgotten all your past disappointments for being able to sleep next to me so soundly" Xiao Tian said with a sigh.
"I don't mean not to believe you, but your actions really hurt me while your bed really doesn't make sense" Sunlong explained as he removed Xiao Tian's collar.
After Xiao Tian's foot landed back on the roof of his man-made house, fifteen pieces of black spear shot back from the top of the cliff.
"What spear is that?" sunlong said as he looked at the black spear that was quite a distance away from behind Xiao Tian's back.
"Wear?" Xiao Tian turned his body over on hearing Sunlong's words.
If Sunlong did not say that there was a spear darting towards them from quite a distance away, Xiao Tian would definitely not notice it until it was a few feet away.
Unlike the first spear, the fifteen spears were covered in extremely strong poisonous fumes. Despite not knowing that the black smoke enveloping the spear was extremely poisonous, Sunlong felt uneasy and directly climbed up onto Xiao Tian's right shoulder while holding his shirt so tightly.
"Be careful, I feel bad things will happen if we let the spear hit our bodies. I've been holding your clothes tightly, now quickly get away from this place!" sunlong said with a panicked face.

After hearing Sunlong's remark, the Lightning God instantly turned his body around. Just then Xiao Tian and Sunlong could clearly see the face of the Lightning God. Both of his eyes turned blue like they had been beaten. Both of his cheeks looked a dark red slap. Needless to explain, Xiao Tian understood that the Lightning God must have been severely scolded by his wife. Ever since seeing the battered face of the Lightning God the admiration Sunlong and Xiao Tian had instantly disappeared. They could not help their laughter.
While pointing towards the Lightning God Sunlong said,

Xiao Tian was unable to say anything as he tried to hold back his laughter.
When the Lightning God wanted to answer Sunlong's question, the two of them laughed so loosely that they could not help it anymore.
Being annoyed to be their laughingstock, the Lightning God struck them on the head. In a annoyed tone he said,
"Can you stop laughing!"
"Ma .. sorry," said Sunlong and Xiao Tian while holding their heads.
"As you know, I went to see my wife. I have also explained the reason behind my departure. But I ended up like this and had to continue my duties as your guide" explained the God of Lightning.
#A few hours ago
The God of Lightning had reached the kingdom of Lightning, he had gone there to meet his wife. The state of the lightning kingdom back then had improved. All the buildings had been repaired by the Lightning Goddess after waking up from her stupor.

"There's actually a reason behind my departure, and the Celestial Emperor was involved in all of that," the Lightning God had yet to finish his sentence, the Lightning Goddess said, "Sky Emperor?"
"Yes, this has something to do with the task he gave," the Lightning God continued in a serious tone.
After his wife started to calm down, the Lightning God explained all the reasons for his departure. He also explained regarding the duty of the sky emperor to guide Xiao Tian into becoming a Medicine God. But instead of an understanding he got, the Lightning Goddess instead slapped him back so hard while saying,
"You're how!"
"It's up to the task of protecting a would-be God, instead of being left alone!"
"What if he's in danger and dies when you leave!"
"Ta .. But, I miss you!" said the God of Lightning with teary eyes.
"There's no word but, quickly go meet the would-be medicinal god!" snapped the Lightning Goddess with a cold gaze.
"At least hug me first," said the Lightning God with a clear face. The Lightning God expects a warm embrace from his wife by putting on a look of compassion, unfortunately the Lightning Goddess never fails. He instead continued to put on a cold gaze while looking at her in annoyance.
"Stop dreaming, even if I'm your wife. I won't hold you anymore, I'm still mad at you" the Lightning Goddess said with a cold look.
"But .. "had not had time to finish her words, the Lightning Goddess threatened the Lightning God by saying, "There's no word but, if you don't leave here either, then I'll kick your pet bird."
"Ba .. alright!" The Lightning God left his wife to meet Xiao Tian, not wanting his beloved bird to be his wife's monthly moon.

Xiao Tian and Sunlong laughed out loud after understanding the intent of the Lightning God.
They could not help their laughter anymore because what they heard last time was too funny for them.
The Lightning God felt annoyed at being the laughingstock of Sunlong and Xiao Tian. Although he was able to stop their laughter by using threats, he did not do so knowing that from the beginning they had tried hard to hold back the laughter while hearing the explanation.
That night had become an annoying night for the Lightning God for being the laughingstock of Sunlong and Xiao Tian.
"You are ... ,"
"Didn't you promise not to laugh!" snapped the Lightning God loudly.
After hearing the snapping of the Lightning God, Xiao Tian and Sunlong stopped laughing.
"Sorry we can't hold it any longer" Xiao Tian said with a hand covering his own mouth. He was trying to hold back the laughter so as not to anger the Lightning God.
Sunlong covered his mouth exactly as Xiao Tian did. They had indeed stopped laughing out loud, but in their hearts they were still laughing at the ridiculous incident that the Lightning God had experienced.
Since the Lightning God could read Xiao Tian's mind, he became even more annoyed. But being unable to control Xiao Tian's mind, he finally resigned himself and could only nag them all night.
