This morning Ayu was preoccupied with whining Naura who did not want to be escorted to school by the driver. The boy continued whining to be delivered directly by Ayu.
“Alright, wait a minute yes, Mama get ready first.” Ayu rubbed the top of Naura's head, before moving away from the dining table.
“Mother, preferably in between super only, I am worried that Mother accompanies herself,” said Bi Ani as they walked towards the front door.
“Iya, I'm in between the driver really, Bi.” Ayu patted Bi Ani on the shoulder with a warm smile on her pale face.
He felt a little dizzy in his head, probably because he did not sleep last night. Plus the previous nights he always sleeps late at night waiting for Ezra.
“Mama, Papa when to go home anyway? How long does it work?” naura asked, as they were on their way to school.
“Maybe in a few days papa comes home, wait a little longer yes, baby,” replied Alisya, rubbing the cheeks of her foster children.
At school, he immediately entered the classroom with Naura's hand.
“Rara, fine at school yes, dreadin said Mother teacher,” Ayu's message, crouched in front of Naura while tidying her hair that slightly covered her forehead.
“Iya, Ma,” nod Naura.
“Smart child, then Mama go home first yes, dear.” Ayu gave a kiss on Naura's forehead and cheeks.
“Iya, Mother. Drug!” Naura waved both of her hands.
Ayu walked back to her parked car.
“Pake driver yes now, already acting like a big mistress, but only a few weeks married!” said cynical Bu Eni as Ayu passed through the crowd of mothers.
“Hus, can't say that, Mom. Maybe Bu Ayu has other needs, eat it with a driver,” debate Bu Ami.
“Let's all mothers, I say goodbye first,” said Ayu before entering his car.
As usual, he would only pretend not to hear the babble of mothers who did not like him.
She had heard that Bu Eni was a widow who had been abandoned by her husband since he was two years old.
After all, he had been used to hearing slanted talk about himself, since he was a child. So it's not all that big of a deal to him.
On the way home, it turns out the streets are quite crowded so he had to be stuck in traffic in some places.
Relying on her back, she chose to look out the window, with her mind fixed on her husband.
When he left her, Ezra was being examined by Ansel. Keenan is not awake.
About thirty minutes later Ayu had just arrived at her residence, she immediately descended in a slight hurry, walking towards the room where her husband was.
“Bi, does Brother Ansel still exist?” ayu asked as he continued walking, upon seeing the middle-aged woman.
“Den Ansel is gone, Mom. He said there are affairs in the hospital, but later in the afternoon will return here again,” explained Bi Yati.
Ayu nodded. “What Keenan is up?” ask Ayu again, he just remembered the existence of his sister-in-law.
“Already, now having breakfast at the dinner table.”
“Alright, thank you, Bi.” Ayu said after arriving at the front door of the guest room.
Opening the door very slowly, Ayu could see that Ezra had fallen asleep again.
Her eyes seemed to be glazed as she recalled Naura's question this morning.
“Capable to heal, Mas. Poor Naura, she misses her papa so much,” muttered Ayu.
Sitting beside Ezra, took her husband's hand and kissed him long ago.
“What's just Naura missing me?” The soft but seductive voice made Ayu lift her face.
“Sorry, I interrupted your sleep huh?” ask Ayu.
Ezra smiled, trying to get up and leaning on the head of the bed.
Ayu swiftly helped her husband and propped her back using a pillow so that Ezra could lean comfortably.
Smiling in the shade, looking at the beautiful eyes that seemed to radiate concern belonging to his wife.
“Not at all, it's time I woke up. Look at the sun has even started high,” said Ezra, pointing to a bright window.
“Again, where can I fall asleep longer and miss my wife's pretty face, hem.” Ezra stroked Ayu's face which looked slightly pale.
"Your face is pale, are you sick?"
Ayu dodged with a haru smile on her face, trying to hold back the tears that began to rush out, looking at her frail-looking husband.
"Qku is not papa," replied Ayu briefly.
“Come.” Ezra patted the spot beside him, for Ayu to sit there.
Ayu nodded then moved to sit next to her husband, Ezra immediately grabbed the slender waist of his wife, eroding the distance between them.
Ayu buried her face in the chest of her husband's field, hiding the tears that had already dripped.
Ezra raised his wife's face, wiping away the trail of tears still visible at the end of the eye.
"Why are you crying, hem? I'm fine, soon your husband will recover and be ready for it, because I won't let you go" Ezra said with a small chuckle to his words.
"What the hell, Mas?! Sickness can still think of others!" gerutu Ayu, pursed his lips.
Although one hand can not be moved because of the former shot on the shoulder and also the needle infusion, but did not prevent him to be able to give temptation to the wife.
“What really happened, Mom? Why did you get to be like this?” ask Ayu, who made Ezra immediately stop his activities.
“It was just an accident, last night my car was intercepted by a bunch of begal,” said Ezra, with his face made as calm as possible.
Ayu knitted her brows, her face scrutinizing her husband's body.
“Begal use a firearm?” tanyanya.
All he knew was that most of them used sharp weapons instead of firearms.
“Have not been discussed again, my head is dizzy when considering the incident last night,” the pretext of Ezra, divert the conversation.
Ayu nodded. “Sorry I didn't mean to make, Mas, sick,” Ayu said with a face filled with guilt.
“Not at all, dear.” Ezra smiled as he stroked his wife's beautiful face.
“Mas, breakfast first yes, let me get it,” said Ayu, he was about to stand.
“I'm not hungry, later. Right now I just want to be with you.”
“Do not do so, Mas. Wait a minute later I will be back ya.” Ayu took off her husband's hand, to take breakfast first.
“Ken, are you better?” ayu asked when she saw her sister-in-law sitting in the living room.
Ayu seemed to be watching Keenan's entire body. The bruised look on his face was quite twisted leaving only a blue tint at the end of the broken lips, and some bandages on the hands to cover the incision wound.
“Alhamdulillah, I've felt better,” Keenan replied.
“Good, because I need an explanation from you, Ayu's sharp” makes Keenan aghast.
‘Jeez, what should I say to Nindi?’ he murmured in the heart.
“I-iya,” Keenan replied.
Ayu continued her steps towards the kitchen, having left her sister-in-law in a state of confusion.
Ayu prepared breakfast for Ezra, a porridge she made herself this morning, and water on the tray.
Arriving at the room, he sees Ezra talking to Keenan. The two brothers immediately stopped their conversation as Ayu went inside.
“Do not disturb your brother first, he still has a lot of rest,” said Ayu, put a tray on the table, then take a bowl of porridge.
“I didn't bother my sister, I just went to see her. Can't it?” cebik Keenan's.
“Cannot, if you intend to lie to me,” said Ayu indifferently. Pouring a spoon of porridge in front of her husband's mouth.
“Let's open his mouth first,” continued, after seeing Ezra instead busy communicating through the eyes with his sister.
Ayu knew that this morning Ezra lied to her about what happened last night. Now Keenan also seems to be lying when he asks.
“You know, I don't like being lied to.” Ayu said again.
His face looked calm, but his words managed to make the two men nearby stupefied.
The two brothers swallowed their saliva with difficulty, when they saw Ayu's firm face. They admit that Ayu is indeed a woman who is smart and sensitive to the surrounding, although it is still far below Ezra.
However, it was quite difficult for them when going to quibble and give lies to the woman.
“Honey, you're so happy. Husband again sick even accused of lying,” melas Ezra, trying to melt his wife's heart.
Ayu only let out a long sigh, without saying anything. Right now his head feels very heavy, coupled with the behavior of his husband and sister-in-law who are hiding something from him. It all makes its own burden for him. But, it seemed like the two men were very difficult to speak honestly to him about the incident last night.
