SIDE STORY: MARVEL XI

When Marvel woke up he was already in the hospital, his body crumbled dimly.he even used a breathing apparatus.

The first thing Marvel saw after he opened his eyes was the sky of the hospital where he was treated, then he painstakingly tried to move his neck looking the other way. And what Marvel saw was her little sister, Monica, asleep on the couch.

It looks like Monica is tired of keeping Marvel so asleep on the couch, but there are things that disturb the mind of Marvel. If he had been hurt this badly, then what about Gevan?

Marvel believes that the night Gevan was hurt worse, Gevan's blood scattered where it was. How's Gevan doing? Marvel wanted to make a sound to build Monica and asked Monica about Gevan, but she couldn't.

His body was still very weak, moving his fingertips alone was extremely difficult.

Marvel prayed in his heart that the man would be okay.

Marvel really had to be silent in bed for a long time, he just silently watched the doctors and nurses take turns checking his condition and also change his infusion.

The question that came out of Marvel's lips when he managed to get his voice out was how Gevan was doing.

Monica and Juan in the room were silent.

“What are the circumstances of the man who crashed with me?” Marvel asked again, he turned his head towards Juan and Monica alternately.

“Are you close to him? You know how to contact his family?” Juan responded to Marvel's question with a question as well. Marvel furrowed his brows, didn't there be Gevan's wallet and a cell phone? Did they not find him?

“Indeed you still can't contact her family? How's Gevan doing?”

Juan shook his head, “There's nothing in his wallet other than a photo, the hospital thought you might know the man's family so the hospital didn't report to the police. And the state of the man is still critical. The doctor said because the condition of his body that was already weak from the beginning made it more difficult to recover. During these two weeks he has had multiple seizures.”

Marvel paused for a moment thinking, he did not know Gevan's family number. But as Marvel recalled, Gevan once mentioned his home address while they were on their way there. But I don't know why Marvel can't remember the home address.

The more Marvel forced to remember the more her headaches got, how was this? The Gevan family deserves to know what happened to Gevan.

Marvel is grateful he has a family who came to his room when he was in trouble, it is what makes Marvel remembered with Gevan. With the current condition of Gevan Gevan desperately needs the support of his family. Marvel should be able to contact the Gevan family and bring them to meet Gevan.

“Can I see my friend?” marvel asked Juan, who was immediately answered with a slug by Juan. 

“Why?” ask Marvel again because he does not accept that he is not allowed to see Gevan. Marvel wants to meet Gevan, he also wants to apologize to the man, if not for the carelessness of Marvel who did not check the state of the car first, they probably won't be in the hospital right now.

“Don't be crazy brother..You've been unconscious for 2 weeks, your body needs time to recover.” said Monica forbid Marvel, “Sadar lah sis, sis, your bones almost broke all because of the accident. Love yourself, until when will you continue to care for others compared to yourself?!”

It took a few days for Marvel to be allowed out of his ward, but he was still in a wheelchair when Monica, his younger sister, helped him to go to Gevan's nursery.

“My sister lives alone here is fine?” Monica hesitates to leave Marvel, but Monica must return to her college soon.

Marvel nodded her head, “Yes you just go, if I need help I'll ask the nurse to help me.”

After getting an answer from Marvel Monica finally decides to leave, she runs back to Marvel's nursery to pick up her bag and soon heads to university.

Marvel who was left alone with Gevan was silent, trying to remember the conversation between himself and Gevan while in the car at that time.

Marvel kept forcing herself to think, forcing herself to remember until her head hurt. Marvel let out a sigh of pain as he stroked his temple and at that moment Marvel saw Gevan's fingertips move.

As Marvel looked up quickly, he saw Gevan's eyelids twinkling as if forcing themselves to open their eyes.

“Hei.. Gevan... Can you hear me?” Marvel enthusiastically moved her wheelchair closer, her smile wide open as she watched Gevan's eyes open and looked at him.

“Finally you are aware too!!” Marvel was really grateful to see Gevan open his eyes again. “Let me call a nurse to check kondis—”

Marvel furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, “Doctor should check on you Gevan so you can improve, and we will contact your family to come here. They deserve to know about your circumstances.”

“Why are you talking like that Gevan, you're too pessimistic. You should have fought even stronger. Don't you want to apologize to your wife and son?” Marvel saw tears dripping from Gevan's eyes.

“You can't sleep Gevan! don't close your eyes! Gevan! Gevannn!!!” Marvel yells and orders Gevan to open his eyes again, but Gevan does not obey Gevan's eyes remain closed and the monitor next to Gevan makes a frightening sound, make Marvel increasingly scream calling the name Gevan.

Along with Marvel's screams, doctors and a few nurses run inside to try to save Gevan's life.

A nurse pulls up Marvel's wheelchair, forcing Marvel to get out of there.

“Congratulations he doc! save him!!” marvel shouted to the doctor who was trying his best to make Gevan's heart beat again.

At a time like this, Marvel just remembered the home address of Gevan's wife and children, when Gevan's life had been lost. Why just now?!

The doctor who previously treated Gevan came out with a gloomy face, “Sorry we could not save the patient. Patient Gevan has died, we have tried as hard as we can but God wills another.”

Marvel shook his head, how could Gevan die before meeting his wife and son?!

What the fuck is that? After saying his request Gevan just died?

After asking Marvel to help his son go to school and keep them from afar, Gevan just died?!

Gevan should have survived, and against his pain Gevan would have done just that. To send his son and protect his family.

“Marvel.”

Juan appears and asks why Marvel is in front of Gevan's room, Gevan says everything. Including Gevan's request.
