SURO BLEDEK

SURO BLEDEK
Ch. 192 Dead Town

Suro and Lord Rencong stared from a distance at the group of creatures they were following. After passing through the gap between the two towering mountains, they then entered a kind of gate from the passage of a large fortress. The fortress closed the gap between the towering mountains. So extraordinary is the fort, has a height of almost half of the cliff which is a mountain that squeezes the gap.

After they entered the gate, another scene was immediately plastered in plain sight. The sight really made the two of them giggle in awe.

"What building is an uncle a lot and looks so magnificent? By looking at so many buildings it looks like a royal city? But it looks like this place has been abandoned for a long time and seems unkempt."

"I think it's some kind of place of worship or some kind of temple. But I don't know if it's possible that this is an ancient royal city that is no longer inhabited. And that building is probably the home of the residents." Lord Rencong stared at the scene below that spread across the valley beyond the mountain.

"How do you build it? Is it possible that it was made by creatures like the one we just saw? But I doubt it. What else was the building so beautifully made. See how big and marvelous each building stands. How is it possible in a place like this that there is a towering building so beautiful and magnificent?" Lord Rencong seemed to be thinking hard trying to digest what he saw.

The gods Rencong and Suro were still watching from a height, so their eyes could reach even further. They are still amazed at what they see. For as long as the eye could see, the entire vast valley was filled with buildings whose shape they had never seen before.

Lord Rencong and Suro decided to descend to take a clearer look at the dead city they had just found. They also wanted to know the reason the group they were following came to such a place.

The group passed through a place on the right and left filled with a kind of pundent-shaped building with a shoulder or just like a pyramid and also some towers. The height of the building is diverse. The smallest building height is almost three times the height of the house in general.

The average building is as big as a hill. The shape of the shoulder is similar to the relics of Megalithic culture or the great stone era. The era that has been going on since about two thousand five hundred years before Christ.

If the relics in the Megalithic era spread throughout the world many are only sarcophagi or stone crates, dolmen (stone tables), menhir (stone temples) and also large stone archa. But the building they both witnessed, was more than that.

For though both buildings were made of stone, but what they saw was something made so beautiful. Because in addition to the large pyramid-shaped building in that place there are also large statues that adorn along the road. The height of the statue exceeds the height of a house or about three spears.

Although the condition of some of the statue is not intact. But the statue that stands proudly still shows how amazing the way it is made in great detail.

This statue shows a form that resembles a human with a great dress like the great kings. All look shirtless. Ruins of buildings and stone statues are seen scattered along the road and the entire place.

Also seen some towers that have mostly collapsed live only some of the buildings that are still standing.

The vast valley may have once stood a former great empire. The selection of the valley became a royal capital, perhaps because of its strategic place to dispel the enemy. Because the valley is completely surrounded by a natural fortress of mountains. Those mountains were truly natural strongholds that were perfect for holding off enemies.

The city of the dead was like an ancient kingdom that had not been inhabited for a long time. If you look so extraordinary every building, then you can imagine how magnificent the city was when there were still residents.

For some reason as far as they followed the group they both did not see a single tree growing. Somehow the creatures and including Suro are able to breathe. Although since their arrival the darkness made their breath uncomfortable, but they could still breathe as usual.

They continued to walk through the place without anyone being found. It was as if there were no other creatures besides the troupe that Suro had stalked.

"It feels strange whether this place once stood a great empire?" Lord Rencong stared still with a face of astonishment.

The two of them walked over quite carefully to be unknown. They walked stealthily behind the statues that lined up neatly along the path they passed.

"The faces of these statues are similar to humans in general. Was this nature also inhabited by humans before?" Seeing the face of each statue was human-like, making Lord Rencong wonder.

After quite a distance they walked, now in front of them was seen a very magnificent next fortress. The fortress was as high as over ten spears.

'Our uncle can't seem to follow more than this if it passes over land. Look there are some guards who are like apes.' Suro whispered to Lord Rencong who was hiding behind the giant statue's head piece lying in that place.

In front of the gate entered by the group they stalked, it was seen guarded by more than a dozen half-ape humans who were quite large. The height of the creature was more than twice the height of Lord Rencong.

"Look at the end of the sky, do you see it?" Lord Rencong actually noticed another sighting that was more interesting for him to notice.

The sight they were able to see from a distance was none other than the appearance of something that resembled a vortex of black smoke coming out from behind the walls of the fort. The smoke soared into the sky and spread in all directions.

"What's uncle, like a thick chimney?"

"I don't think it's just ordinary smoke, but it's the source of all the darkness in nature." Lord Rencong replied while still hiding behind the statue piece that lay.

As they watched the extremely dense black smoke plume soaring high, there was another creature that appeared from above the sky.

"Look at the uncle of the creature who had just descended from the sky, I seem to have seen it in my glass. I still remember it, because its unique shape is easy to remember. That thing I've seen near the throne of teacher's eyes." Suro pointed at the one creature that had just descended from the sky.

The creature Suro pointed to had a pair of bat-like wings. On his forehead was seen sticking out a pair of horns like cow horns. It also has a tail like a cow. Because his skin was so black, it was as if they were looking at a shadow.

A little later, the same kind of creature came with a flock. The winged creature that had just come was over two dozen in number. Those who had just come instantly disappeared behind the towering fortress.

One creature that first came like being a watchdog. He's still visible on the fort. His eyes seemed to be watching the surroundings of the fortress. His gaze swept across the side before him like he was suspecting something.

"Did he see us uncle? His eyes were bright red, like he was staring in this direction?"

Suro and Lord Rencong who were hiding behind the huge heads of the giant statues lying around, were not fully able to hide the bodies of the two of them. Especially when viewed from the top of a fortress that high.

A kwaak! A kwaak!

The creature above the fortress was like giving orders to a half monkey man who was in front of the gate of the fortress. Because after the creature made a sound, the monkey-like creature ran towards Suro.

They ran with their four hands. There were half a dozen monkey men moving rapidly towards Suro.

"We better avoid fighting, because I still want to find out in advance what exactly is hidden behind the fort? I want to find out in advance the source of the darkness soaring up into the sky. Isn't that a very strange sighting worth investigating?" Lord Rencong looked at Suro, as if to get an answer. Suro only nodded in agreement with what the swordsman was thinking next to him.

Lord Rencong then invites Suro to move places quickly. They did that, before the ape-men got to where they were both hiding.

"Geek-neck!" The monkeys seemed to tell the bat-winged creature, if they found nothing.

"The waw! Kwaak!"

But the bat man seemed to be in disbelief. Then the giant monkeys went back to check around the place. They look to the left right and sniff through their large nostrils.

The monkeys then spread out trying to find out. There was one monkey who walked following the path that Suro and Lord Rencong went through. Luckily, the two of them had already moved back quite a distance.

"Nwoof! Nguk!"

But the monkey did not continue his search, he chose to turn around. Presumably the monkey voice from the other direction that was heard just now, gave the order to all return to the gate.

The bat man then disappeared behind the fortress wall following another batman who had preceded him.

"Thank God they didn't continue the search." Suro was seen breathing a sigh of relief, after the monkeys returned to the front of the gate. Together with Lord Rencong they hid in a hallway under a large shoulder.

"This building is very interesting, maybe we can investigate from here first. Maybe we'll get something about this dead town? I suspected that this was not like this before, before darkness filled the universe." Lord Rencong gazed towards the dark passage under the shoulder building where they were hiding.
