Tama And Ratna

Tama And Ratna
The Short Story 2. My Busy Dad

Tama and Ratna buy everything they need for at least the next 2 weeks. The reason is because Ratna does not want to mingle with other mothers hunting sembako in the supermarket. Tama also during this fast will be busy with various activities both outside and inside the unity.

"Busets are expensive" Ratna said complaining to her husband.

"What?"

"Fried oil."

"Jude, buy enough. Not much" said Tama.

"Mother.., rich cook tomorrow dong day," said Tama.

"Which one?"

"That's what you said using seaweed is just as knowing" Tama replied.

"Oh that, yeah buy the year it used to be the same nori."

Ratna and Tama walk back to the vegetable counter. When Ratna was busy picking out the Aksara that stood not far from her pointed to her favorite box of milk. Instead of a storm Tama took a box and put it in a basket. Not long after, Tara woke up and continued to look at her Mother Father who was busy choosing guava juice or orange juice.

"Mother is awake," Aksa said, making Ratna and Tama turn their heads.

"Geez, I'm sorry you didn't see you were awake" Ratna said as she lifted Tara from the pram.

"This is the same father just pity you still have to shop deck," said Tama.

...***...

Because the children are too cool to play on the Playground, Ratna so did not have time to go home. Tama finally immediately drove Ratna to the hospital and went home with her three sons.

"Picked up at what time, dear?" ask Tama.

"I took ojek. It's likely that my business is done you're already in the office" replied Ratna.

"Yes, be careful tomorrow."

"Each commander. Titip kids yeah," Ratna said before getting out of the car.

After dropping off his wife in the hospital lobby, Tama returns home with Aksara and the twins. They fell asleep and guessed tonight Tama had to fight hard to put the three of them to sleep.

Tama first brought the twins and Aksara down from the car. Tama slowly put the three to sleep on a folding mattress held in front of the tv. Nusa woke up when Tama dropped him off, and instead of waking up her brother and twin, Tama chose to drop off their groceries while continuing to carry Nusa.

"Da?" said Nusa who is looking for where the mother.

"Da? Nusa nyariin?" ask Tama.

"Da."

"Mother work Sa. Tonight is the same Dad used to be, yes" said Tama.

"Amamamam" said Nusa again.

"But Dad went in for groceries first" Tama said.

"Oh yes yes yes enter yuk we mam yes," Tama tried to patiently face the middle child.

When she went inside her room, she found Tara was awake and was being patted on Aksara. He should not cry.

"Dad, Tara was crying so big brother," I'm the firstborn.

"Thank you, brother. Pinter is really you," said Tama.

"Soalah mother said that brother wants to be super hero brother should be able to help father and mother take care of adek first," said Aksara.

From that, what is sought and called by these three children is the mother, mother, and mother. A moment of pensive thinking. All this time he felt close to his children but reality was not as expected. Although mothers often nag and get angry if the children are wrong, but they still look for Mother whenever they do not see her mother around them.

"Kids, this evening the same father first yes Mother again help heal the sick. Mother again becomes a super hero so the same Aksara Nusantara same father at home do not be naughty yes," Tama said to her three children.

"Ndah.." answered Tara.

"Yes Dad" replied Aksara.

"Amamamma," said Nusa began to protest because of hunger.

"Oiya eat. Bentar you guys here first Daddy ready to eat your dinner first," said Tama then lowered Nusa from his carrier.

Tama immediately heated the vegetable soup that was cooked by Ratna. Ratna was advised to warm it first so that the fat from the caldunya can dissolve so that it will not make children's tongues uncomfortable. Tama sat her three children on a chair each then while watching the three eat Tama also spent his dinner as fast as lightning.

It seems there has not been a minute and then they sit quietly facing each other's food, Nusa has done the act. He beat his bowl with a spoon making his food spill everywhere. Tama could only sigh, want to be angry nor would she be able to scold this adorable sigembul. Moreover, Nusa put on his innocent face and began to eat his food scattered with his hands.

"Eits, it's dirty, don't forget I'm gonna get it again. Do not eat Nusa," said Tama prevent her middle child from eating carrots that she already held.

Start learning from mistakes. He only took a little bit of the sauce just so the rice could get wet. He didn't want Nusa's food spilled a second time.

About 30 minutes passed, the dinner tempest was over. Nusa and Tara had calmly grasped the milk bottle while watching the cartoons on tv while Nusa tried to read the storybook to his two sisters. Even though Aksa just pointed at the picture without reading the text but Tama can see the efforts of Aksa to help her parents take care of her sister.

"Don't leave my sister and take a shower" said Tama, who just finished mopping the kitchen floor.

"Yes Dad" replied Aksara.

That night they spent without the presence of Mother. Because Tama was too afraid that she would be troubled if until the children fussed, she decided to sleep with the children in front of the television. He lowered the spare mattress that Ratna had stored in the room, after putting the bed sheet on, Tama lowered the Nusantara on the mattress. Both of them immediately play on a mattress that swayed every time they moved. Moreover, Bang Aksa also prancing on the mattress like he was on a trampoline.

"This bobok already malem you know kids. Play tomorrow again come on," said Tama who just finished taking out the pillow of the twins and Brother from the room.

"Dad, we're booby here? Can you watch tv?" ask Aksa.

"Can't Bang. Later you do not sleep to watch tv," said Tama.

She almost forgot to make milk for her three children so she walked back to the kitchen to make milk. Ratna always wrote down small notes on the shelves and refrigerator containing things that must be considered in taking care of the little one. Tama read a note in green. It says how much milk he had to use to make the twins and his brother.

First he made it first for Aksara then gave it to the eldest who is now smoothly drinking from a glass. While waiting for Aksara to spend her milk, Tama makes it for the twins. He met the bottle before he handed it to Nusantara who started whining in the mattress bag. It seems like both of them are afraid of falling when they want to chase Dad into the kitchen so now both can only whine on the edge of the mattress.

"This has the archipelago, here while bobok," said Tama. She handed her milk to the two of them and then Tama arranged all their sleeping positions. Bang Aksa at the end, sleeping next to Nusa while Tara is next to Dad.

"Huh tired," lamented Tama who began to lay down next to Tara who began to lackey and gradually fell asleep. Fortunately Tama did not forget to diggunci first his house as well as he set an alarm so as not to bad luck wake up tomorrow morning because no Ratna woke him.
