The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace

The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace
114. How sure is Hunter?

Are monsters evil?

Is the existence of a Monster worth annihilating?

Will the Gate bring destruction to you?

Can the existence of a Hunter destroy the Monsters and the Gate?

Are you sure of your own strength?

Are you able to dedicate your life to the human race?

If yes, then continue with the last question.

If not, put down your paper and pen and leave.

How sure are you to survive in this harsh Hunter world?

Are you really serious about being a Hunter?

If so, add your reasons below.

If not, put down your paper and pen and leave.

I completely understood everything, and I felt that all the answers were yes, but there was one question whose answer to me was somewhat dubious.

Are monsters evil?

"I'm sure this must be a complicated question for you." Zon argues, "It's like..."

I know it's very complicated, the answer is a bit dubious, maybe...

"Ask my humanity?" I muttered, and Zon was heard approving.

"Yes, I still remember the typical IHO motto, you know?" ask Zon, and I nod.

The IHO's signature motto is Hunter for Freedom of Humanity, which, if translated into Indonesian by my grandfather, means Hunter for the Freedom of Mankind.

"I understand it.." I nodded again, "The average Hunter has the ambition of offering freedom to mankind, and the way to deal with it is to finish off the Monster."

"By assuming the Monster is evil, then it's easier to kill it." added Zon, and I agreed with him.

The thing is, I don't think it's completely true, just half of it. I'm of the opinion that not all Monsters have the ambition to destroy mankind, some want to help humans fight Monsters. I know that from the words Flame Emperor and Void Emperor about four years ago, a year after the Icelandic Raid.

I still clearly remember what Void Emperor said about their mission of helping humans fight against the Black Emperor and the Ice Emperor.

Make monsters and humans coexist? It is very difficult to remember the behavior of two parties.

Monsters destroy life on earth, and humans fight hard and in various ways, certainly two parties will not accept it.

There will only be one side that continues to survive, and the other will be destroyed by the defending side, which is what I believe will happen later.

"What should I answer?" I scratched my head, feeling confused by this question.

Yeah, doubt it, no, don't know it, what am I gonna choose?

"I will not interfere." said Zon and his voice was not heard again.

I closed my eyes, and a choice came to my mind...

Doubtful, that was my choice on the first question, I'm sure not all Monsters are evil.

Second, I answered doubtfully, and I believe these two choices will make Uncle Frans consider my existence in the Hunter world.

The third, I answered with Yes, because all the gates I know of always bring destruction, so I answered with Yes.

The fourth, I believe the Hunters can wipe out the existence of Monsters and the gate that has the ambition to destroy mankind.

Fifth, I clearly firmly believe that my own strength can finish off Monsters, even I believe that one day I can repel powerful Monsters just by giving a light warning reinforced with Fire King passive skill.

Sixth, I am willing to offer my soul and body to make a good world for the sake of man, and also for the Monster who wants peace.

I will continue to advance, not stopping just because of this small obstacle in my eyes, even though Ice Emperor and Black Emperor classes are blocking, I will fight them if everything is for the sake of peace.

The seventh one, with the strength I gained from the Flame Emperor and the various teachings from my grandfather, I was able to survive in this cruel Hunter world.

Eighth, I am serious about my desire to become a Hunter, yes for the sixth reason, I will give peace to two parties who want it, if I do not want to stay beheaded.

"Well, awful..." Zon shuddered at my thoughts, and I filled all those questions with all the answers I had thought of.

"Okay everyone, the test's done, the paper's brought here." Vina stood up from her chair and patted her hands, sounding like calling the three of us before her.

I stood up then walked towards Vina and handed over my test papers, while Andhika and Rei followed.

After finishing receiving everything, Vina left the room and Dusk explained the next test.

"Next you will fight again..." Dusk glanced at me, "But not with the Sky."

Yes, I was too strong for them to face, so it was natural to prevent me from fighting against Andhika or Rei.

***

The one who will test Andhika and Rei's ability is Vano sir who is waiting in the training room.

"Say Vina, Andhika Hendrawan and Rei Artawan took the test and now it's a physical test" said Mr. Vano, "The test is not a fight anymore, but more towards how resistant you are to doing things within a certain time limit."

Well, the physical test I think is in the form of light exercise, but the limit is added to heavier than normal.

"First you change your clothes into light clothes, which will not weigh on your movements." Vano looked at me with a hint of hesitation, "And I guess Sky Satria could follow him..."

Physical tests aren't what I hate, but things I like enough...

I took off my suit, shirt, and black trousers and took them to some chairs near the wall and put them there. Andhika and Rei took off their clothes, so they only wore shorts, I did too.

And the physical test will start with me, Andhika, and Rei standing in the middle of the room...

***

I exhaled slowly, then pulled slowly, and exhaled slowly, and so on until I felt like I could breathe longer.

Even though it had been hours since the physical test ended, I still couldn't forget the form of the physical test, which I've done so many times over the past five years.

Run a hundred meters, jump rope for half an hour, push up a hundred and fifty times, measuring the force of a punch with a machine I don't know what it's called, jump as high as it is, lifting a barbell weighing twenty kilograms, and the last is to shoot with a gun.

If I say I have done all the physical tests well, then it does not include the test of shooting with a gun, well, as you know, I can not use a gun, I can not use a gun, and the bullets missed the target many times. Even a frightened Andhika fighting me in a swordfight could shoot twice on target. Rei's? He's worse than me, he can't even hold a gun that's the lightest long-range firearm I know of.

"The gun doesn't suit you.." said Zon, "You don't fit in from a distance, you're better suited to close range if you look at your abilities so far."

The day is getting late when the wind suddenly blows louder. Someone was standing in front of me.

"I wonder if you really are the Sky..." That person was Dusk, and he stood before me.

The fact that I had the power of a Monster definitely made him distrustful, and he must have questioned my humanity.

"If you think that I don't have humanity, then you're wrong." I leaned my back against the back of the chair.

I saw that the RedWhite headquarters garden was quiet, only I was still sitting on a chair, with Dusk standing in front of me.

"So, are you here to question my humanity?" I asked, I felt Dusk come to me not only to ask that.
