37. It's all about the arrival of the monsters
My grandfather picked up a book in a small library in his house and sat in one of his chairs, I sat in one of them.
"High, it's been six months since you've been training so hard for your initial journey to becoming a Hunter, and it's good that you know some basic facts about our enemy's arrival..." My grandfather then opened the book.
I nodded, well, I was actually curious as well, why would Monsters and humans fight each other, even until there were humans killed in that fight.
What is the reason, why can it be so, from where humans can learn how to make firearms, what makes the Monsters come to earth, and so on, and so on, I had a lot of thoughts about the battle between the Hunter and the Monster that used to appear on television.
"Current sky, cake..." I said, making my grandfather laugh.
"Well, there's no point in letting a child be curious for too long." My grandfather cleared his throat, "So this is it..."
My grandfather was silent for a long time, until the sound of my stomach ringing sounded.
"So long ago, there was a group of scientists who were planning to create a portal to another dimension." My grandfather started his story.
"His research began hundreds of years ago, at least less than five years before an accident occurred..."
"What accident? Did it kill a lot of people?" My toot.
Usually yes, the accident is a terrible event involving one person with another, can with other objects as well, and may be able to cause death, he said, but the news I'm watching is dead...
"Accident..." My grandfather went to the next page, "A accident that is difficult to explain in ordinary words, that is, a technical error in research."
I shut up, research? Whatisit? Is it a place?
"Well, that group of scientists is going to make a portal to another dimension, where there are several theories in the past that reveal that there is a dimension outside our world that we still cannot reach with our science. This group of scientists teamed up to research and discover something that could connect our world to the other dimensions mentioned in that theory."
"The problem is, our science has not yet reached the stage where we know clearly how the other dimension is, whether it is similar to our world or different."
"One day, as the study entered its fifth year, a bright light appeared beneath the Eiffel Tower. The group of scientists were excited because they thought that the light was an enlightenment to their research and moved to France to directly examine the bright light."
"Many famous scientists from all over the world helped with the research by coming up with their own bizarre and crazy theories about what bright light might actually be."
"It took them a long time to understand a little bit about the bright light."
"Until one day, while the research is ongoing, it is being overseen by the French national army because the research is quite dangerous for the country because of the unclear light the reason why it can appear, a bolt of lightning came out from that bright light and struck many scientists to death."
"It did not stop there, various research tools were badly damaged, even the Eiffel tower had vibrated because of the two lightning that came out of the bright light."
"Because it had been truly called dangerous by one of the scientists, France was then abandoned by its inhabitants, except for the soldiers who were on standby for the next attack."
"Next, it was not lightning that appeared, but a huge explosion from that light, which killed many more scientists, until finally, the soldiers were forced to retreat slowly and ask for help from other countries, he said, Indonesia is one of them."
"A few days after the accident, in the scorching afternoon, several wolves with lightning tails came out of the light and released a great many thunderbolts that struck the surroundings."
My grandfather stood up and shouted, "Gedablar! Blar blar blar! Duars!" Swinging his hands in all directions, then circling around the small library.
"The big wolf did not move, but who would have thought, if in some other country, a bright light like in Paris was emerging."
"The news of strange creatures that come out of the light can make the national soldiers of several countries that became the scene of the bright light was overwhelmed because the strange creatures could not be killed with one shot ordinary bullets."
"Then how did the people fight the monsters?" My toot.
It is truly a miracle that humanity can still survive to this day...
"By firing five bullets at high speed into the Monsters' foreheads, it can then kill the Monsters." My grandfather replied then turned the page again, "But that way is considered less effective..."
"Why?"
"Because the usual long-barreled shotgun fire does not allow five shots to be fired quickly, even if it can be just an ordinary rifle, it also requires more than ten shots per one Monster. You can imagine how hard people used to be in killing Monsters."
"The firearm technique was found on the sidelines of the chaos, when a forger in Indonesia, was making a sharp weapon with hot iron. Just then, he was attacked by a single Monster and all of a sudden, the forger accidentally swung the hot blade of the weapon, slashing the Monster's neck to the point of breaking."

"This Great General of the United States, wielding his sword and advancing to the vanguard of his country's army and slaughtering countless Monsters."
"Slowly but surely, other scientists co-developed other Fire Weapons and after ten years had passed, there are at least fifty soldiers in the United States who have Fire Weapons and stand in the front row of the United States troops and hunt the Monsters throughout America, even helping other countries."
"After a few years of return, there were a hundred soldiers who possessed Fire Weapons and they were all scattered around the world, hunting down Monsters and dedicating a safe world to other humans."
"Some people, calling them Hunter, and some soldiers founded a Hunter organization that went under the orders of the president or other leaders of the country."
"In the first fifty years, there were only two Hunter organizations in the world, one of which was in the United States, its name is the StarSam organization which until now still stands and becomes a place where powerful Hunters take shelter. It is rumored that the StarSam organization has always been led by the SS rank Hunter, so the power of the StarSam organization can't match it."
"The second one is in Russia, it's called FreedomLight and the organization was destroyed when the first largest Raid in the history of mankind took place. Just then, a giant dragon descended from the sky and ruffled Canada, leaving the country completely destroyed and nesting there."
"The whole world designed a massive Raid to attack Canada to kill the huge dragon. It happened seventy years after the accident in France, and by that time, Fire Weapon technology had improved greatly, from the initial use of Aluminum to use Flaming metal or abbreviated as Fl and metal it becomes the basic material of Fire Weapon because it is considered capable of being the best conductor of heat beyond all other metals."
"There are very few records of this massive Raid, the main fact being the FreedomLight organization and several other Hunter organizations taking part in the Raid, and they managed to kill the dragon for the cost of losing hundreds of powerful Hunters."
I gulped my saliva, terrible also Hunter world, if weak then we will only die at the hands of Monsters, if strong then we are the one who killed Monsters.
"In the hundreds of years that followed, various Rays and fierce battles between Hunters and Monsters occurred on this earth, without knowing that some Hunters had hidden contracts with Monsters...."
