228. Destruction Army attacked New Washington! II
I darted quickly past the corpses of Monsters that were lying on the streets with Yuuki.
The giant dragon soared in the sky of New Washington, and I knew that the flying dragon was the Dragon Emperor.
From his aura, the pressure he released, as well as the different colors of the dragon that appeared at the moment, I came to know that the dragon was a Dragon Emperor.
Tom moved us around randomly using the Gate skill he had, so we were able to scatter all over New Washington to protect the citizens.
I've been around for a few minutes with Yuuki, I managed to evacuate some of the other residents, some we didn't manage to save because it was too late.
Some incomplete bodies scattered parts of his body, some even separated.
Yuuki just turned his face away, I was the same as well, although many times I have seen this scene, still I have trouble seeing it.
My question is, how could StarSam not be able to protect New Washington? Was the rumor about StarSam's power being reduced by almost half during the Emperor's incursion into New Washington?
"Corning, we must go on." Yuuki patted me on the shoulder, "There are still many citizens who may not have been evacuated."
"All right.." I took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly, "Come on!"
The two of us ran back down the city, Monsters gathered in the middle of the road, when I came they immediately dispersed.
I have no intention of pursuing them, my first priority is to evacuate the citizens, if Yuuki is able to fight while evacuating the citizens, it is fine.
The current me could have taken out the Flame Soldier, but it would have created a bad assumption that I was a Monster disguised as a human.
Our movement is faster, no monsters are stopping us again like before.
"Corn, look up!" yuuki and I exclaimed straight up.

I jumped forward, while Yuuki jumped forward and rolled next to me.

We drew our swords, while the dragon landed in front of us then flapped its wings for a moment before shrinking and turning into a human-shaped creature with horns on its head.
"A little more." he said slowly.
I tightened my grip on my sword then darted forward, "Dance of the Earth King!"
My sword swung in all directions, Dragora readied herself then put up a defensive position.
I slashed my sword from right to left, cut off his crossed hand in front of his face, then I slashed from left to right, slashed his stomach, finally shaking my sword from top to bottom, cutting off Dragora's remaining hand then created a wide wound from his chest to his abdomen. Dragora leaped backwards, his injuries recovering slowly.
My sword lit up even brighter with me streaming my stamina into my sword, I darted forward then released a barrage of sword slashes that instantly sliced Dragora's body into small pieces.
[Levels up!]
Dragora was killed instantly, I left her and then helped Yuuki who was facing the three-meter-long giant.
Yuuki slashed at every corner of the giant's body with his sword, while the giant couldn't catch Yuuki because Yuuki was moving faster than the movement of his hand.
After Yuuki finished off the giant, we moved again...
Before I felt I was separated from Yuuki...

Tom galloped to the head of the Dragon Emperor, then launched his flagship skill.
"Big Bang Combination!"
Two consecutive blows landed on the Dragon Emperor's backside head, cracking his skull until Tom's two hands entered the crack.
The Dragon Emperor let out a loud scream, he flew away from his position earlier meeting with Tom.
The wind pressure above the Dragon Emperor's body was very strong, even Tom began to struggle, even though just trying to stand up he had difficulty.
With the new strength he had though, as well as the magnitude of the Occult Energy he possessed, it still made it difficult for him to withstand the pressure of the surrounding wind.
Plus the Dragon Emperor that moved quickly through the clouds, making Tom start having trouble breathing.
"Do I have to budge and jump down?" he muttered, "Damn, I think that's the only way..."
Fighting in the sky would only harm him, that was Tom's mind this time. What made him think that?
There are three things, first is because Tom relies on his punch and his fire, because in the sky the wind blows irregularly and fast, the fire is not much use. While relying on punches, it would only further harm him.
Second is because Tom can't fly. If he forced a fight in the sky, it would only make it difficult because moving in the sky is very difficult, more difficult than learning to swim.
Third was because of the Dragon Emperor's large body and surely Tom would have trouble attacking him given the second point.
Facing the Dragon Emperor on the ground was the best thing he could think of, as fighting on the ground gave Tom a lot of advantages.
Tom ran then jumped down, with both hands he stretched to the side to hold his body to fall slowly.
He did not have time to estimate how high he was at the moment, whether he was wearing protective gear, killed already, he risked his life in this leap this time.
But he can direct the fall by straightening his body then moving in the direction he wants.
Tom slid fast, the fall movement felt faster, some buildings began to be seen.
Invisibility energy flowed faster within his body, creating a protective layer outside of his body that helped him resist the pressure of the wind that was pressing down on his body.

His spear had swallowed the Monster's life many times, and John's abilities continued to increase today, so that he could last long enough against the dozens of Monsters that approached him.
The two continued to work together against the approaching Monsters, before the sound of something falling was heard near them.
One Monster fell to the ground, before a burst of flames burned dozens of other Monsters.
"Fuuh, I thought I was going to die.." Someone jumped down after the fire burned dozens of Monsters, "Damn, jumping from the sky is really creepy..."
