The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace

The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace
4. The abandoned house

The wind blew, hitting my slightly sweaty face, making my face feel a little cool.

The two of us are now in a house that was abandoned by the owner when the panic was mentioned by Dusk earlier.

Dusk had entered the house since this afternoon, after we had a conversation in a small shop that might be more suitable for me to call a stall.

He said he would look at the situation before deciding whether or not to use it for rest. I actually wanted to come, but Dusk did not want to be escorted so I chose to stay outside the house.

I sat down while hugging my knees, I was really grateful to be able to survive that tree. I stroked my feet softly while muttering, "Luckily I survived..."

"The sky, the house is safe!" The twilight sound rang out and I stood up quickly while stretching my back.

"Yes, okay!"

"First after we find a place to live that we can make a place to rest, then we need food and clothing..." I said while eating bread this afternoon.

The night had come and after we had cleaned lazily, we ate... We ate the bread we had taken without permission from the shop.

"That's the three main needs, right? We should look for that..." Dusk nodded, "But where should we find food and clothing? Drinks too?"

I silently heard it, I actually dared to go back to the stall to find food and drinks and then return, but along the way, maybe I will find some Monsters wandering around.

Just now, when we were going to this house, we were chased by a small monster that looked hungry. Fortunately, we were both slightly stronger than the little monster, so we were able to escape and hide in a garbage can, narrowly together inside that dirty place.

"About clothes, what we're wearing right now is very smelly because we went in that garbage can, right?" Dusk covered his mouth with a disgusted face as he thought about that.

I smelled my uniform arm and scrunched my forehead as I smelled an unpleasant scent on my uniform.

The twilight of a small laugh at my behavior, made me a little happy.

"Maybe, I've decided what's next..." I leaned my back on the back of the dining chair, "I'll follow in my father's footsteps..."

"Become Hunter?" Ask Dusk and I nodded.

"But I need to train hard, my body is currently not possible to hold a heavy weapon like the other Hunters have..." I raise my shoulders.

The sound of our bellies rang out and made us both want to laugh, but we held back our laughter knowing we were in a dangerous situation.

"Sky, take me to the bath..." Dusk said with a embarrassed face.

"Huh?" I scratched my ear, I was sure by my hearing that Dusk wanted me to take him to a bath.

"I want to take a shower, you take a bath, too..." Dusk said then stood up and put down his bag, "After that we can compile whatever we can do next."

"Ah, right..." I nodded and stood up while taking off my uniform, "Come, let's check this house further..."

"Why are we looking for a flashlight?" Dusk asked with raised eyebrows.

"In order to save electricity, I know that every house uses at least a little electricity, so I want to save it with the help of a flashlight and some things that help us survive..." I said as I rummaged through a drawer, "This is not there..."

I stood up and picked up some batteries in that drawer, "It looks like we could live a few days with these batteries..."

Dusk looked at the battery and nodded, "Could be, I don't know how long the battery can last..."

"Of course you don't know, I don't know the truth either." I scratched my head and put the battery in my pants pocket, "We're looking again..."

"If we're looking for a flashlight first, when do I take a shower? Or are you afraid of this house?" Asked Dusk while looking at me with a probing look.

"It's weird of you, I'm looking for a flashlight so we don't get caught..." I walked to the front of a room, "How about we check out this room?"

"Can..." Dusk nodded and we both entered the room after I opened the door.

The room can be called a room with a fairly large mattress, fit for a two-adult bed for me, and one closet I guessed was a wardrobe.

"Senja, you check that closet, find a pair of thick clothes for both of us, and some change of clothes. We need that for now..." I pointed at the cupboard and I walked to a table by the bed, "I'll find a flashlight here..."

All I asked nodded and looked for what I wanted, as well as me who was still struggling to find a flashlight.

"Emm, Sky..." Dusk approached me while handing me two towels, "Do you need this?"

"May, if you want, we could share a towel, but I'm sure you won't..." I replied while glancing at the two towels that Dusk showed.

"Why did you say that?" Dusk raised his eyebrows, confused by my answer.

"Save..." I stood up and took a big flashlight and a small flashlight from the drawer, "We will not be able to survive if we go through our day as usual. We should know that this moment is different from our usual day..."

The twilight was stunned and he lowered his head, making me feel a little confused looking at him.

"What's wrong? Am I wrong?" I asked as I touched both shoulders of Dusk, "I hope I don't make you sad..."

"No, it's just that you feel more mature right now, so it looks like I'll be with you until help comes along..." Twilight answered and handed him a towel and the other he put on his shoulder, "We have to take a bath, it's getting dark..."

I nodded and walked up to the closet and checked the closet, picked up a huge outfit and walked out of the room while pulling out the hand of Dusk that was ready for her needs.

"Sky, are you still there?" Dusk who was taking a shower asked from inside the bathroom.

I scratched my head and replied, "Still!"

At least, Dusk has asked the same thing five times and he has received the same answer five times.

I yawned while looking at my circular watch on my wrist.

I can't read hours, but believe me if I know some kind of time, like seven in the morning, eight in the evening, or five in the afternoon, that kind of thing I know...

If the needle is long at number six and the needle is short at number twelve, then I would choose to jump off the bed and land on one foot instead of having to read that clock at seven.

"I didn't know I'd survive until when the two of us would hang on to this little thing..." I murmured as I buried my head in the towel I had wrapped around my neck until it became like a scarf that often appears in movies about winter.
