The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace

The Cold Blooded Hunter: Seeker of Peace
6. The abandoned house III

Even though it was only eight o'clock tonight, I felt like twelve o'clock tonight, so long as I walked.

Just imagine, from morning to evening, I fainted... A big tree branch in my backyard, then met with Dusk in a park, alone while playing a swing, until we told a story in an abandoned shop.

All of that happened in just one day, a lot of things have happened in this day.

"Much has happened..." I sat on a neat big bed with Dusk sleeping next to me.

Well, I was forced to take this step even though I didn't actually want to sleep with anyone else, let alone that person I just knew today, I could have been put in jail by someone who misunderstood me and didn't know my age.

"What am I supposed to do? Seek help? Where's where?" I began to think, what can a seven-year-old do in a situation like this? Besides crying and asking for help?

But somehow, I even calm down, even to help someone. Seven years, SEVEN YEARS...

What makes me like this? That's still a big question in my mind...

The moonlight entered the large room through the bedroom window and I stared at the red curtain-covered window with a slightly sad look.

"I wish anyone could find us both..." I murmured before breaking down and closing my eyes and sleeping.

Tomorrow morning...

I woke up after feeling the scorching sunlight hitting my eyes and I got up slowly while rubbing my eyes. I glanced next to me, to where Dusk had previously slept.

No more twilight, where is he?

Next to me was no one, and also, our bed was a complete mess!

I jumped out of bed and moved out of the room without making the bed. I have to ensure the safety of the man I saved yesterday.

I came out of the room and went around, wasting my energy only to find out that the person I was looking for was sitting by the window while gently stroking a cat.

"C.e..." I was a little upset to see it, just woke up moving quickly looking for people, uh who sought instead sit back with the cat. But wait a minute...

"Well, the cat is so cute!" I was a little bit anxious when I saw the cat, and I went straight to the cat and picked it up, "Fat's him too..."

"You notice better, he's actually skinny..." Twilight stood up and handed the cat a piece of bread, "Because you just woke up and you might be hungry, you could tell he was fat..."

"Eh, time?" I took the cat down and raised my hand, "My part?"

"It's in my bag, just grab it yourself. I was ready to go to our destination last night..." Dusk crouched down and waited for the cat to finish eating, "Quick a little, it's noon already..."

I just shut up and do what he tells me to do. I walked into the kitchen and looked for my bread.

When I got it, I did not eat bread while sitting down, but while walking towards the warehouse that was far behind, near the bathroom where he was and Dusk took a shower last night.

"I wish I could find something to use against Monsters..." I muttered while opening the warehouse.

I don't know what the former owner of this house thought, the warehouse wasn't locked, but the key was still plugged in the keyhole.

I opened the barn door and the room looked very dark. I looked for a light switch and turned on the lights so the room could see well.

"Uh, is this a barn or a room? Very neat..." I scratched my head and looked for something, which I myself did not know what to look for.

This small and weak body, trying to use a weapon that I thought was heavy, it seemed strange, I could only sigh at the thought of that.

My eyes still go down that barn while occasionally biting my part of the bread last night.

So neat, I did not know where the simple weapons in this house were stored, until I finally saw a rack filled with sharp objects.

I approached the shelf and saw various sharp objects, which flashed through my mind as I looked at those objects...

"Could it be a page cleaning tool?"

I picked up one thing that had a long size and at the end there were claws like a fork, maybe the name of a garden fork, my mind.

"Ugh, heavy..." I dropped the garden fork and I saw a button where the garden fork had been placed.

"What's this?" I, curious about the button, pressed it and the shelf split in two and then showed me a weak-looking weapon in my eyes.

"To-Wand?!"

I grabbed the wand and examined it, "No, this stick must not be an ordinary weapon, but a weapon stronger than the objects on the outer shelf..."

The stick was light and when I swung it, it was lighter than when I held it.

But the thing was, I saw some cracked parts, making me a little hesitant to wear them.

There was one button near my right hand and a line containing large numbers.

"If I were to wear it, then this stick could have been destroyed and I wouldn't have been able to return to this house..." Besides thinking that, I also thought of Dusk.

If I fail to protect her, then that's when my life will end. I don't want that to happen.

"But I don't want to die without a fight!" I clenched my hand tightly and took two more things off the shelf and finished my portion of bread.

After my bread ran out, I walked out of the barn and looked for Dusk who was waiting in the living room while trying to turn on the television.

"I wanted to find information while you were having breakfast, but it turned out that your breakfast was quick as well..." Dusk put the television remote again in its place and approached me, "What are you carrying?"

I gave the staff to Dusk while saying, "This is a weapon for you to defend yourself, you should wear it when a Monster approaches you and intends to eat you."

"How do I know if the monster wants to eat me or not?" Tanya Dusk, which made me think again hard.

"What yes? I just don't know, but something in me told me to tell you that..." I raised my shoulders after thinking for a long time not getting any results.

But that's right, my mind told me to have Dusk use the stick to fight the Monster and uniquely, I haven't thought about it since I found the wand.

"Then you're alone? Are you planning to fight the Monster with those two scythes?" Asked Dusk after he saw the two scythes I carried in my right hand.

"How else, there are no strong things that I can lift in that barn, only these two sickles that I can lift with that staff..." I raised my scythe high.

"That's all I can give you, don't waste that stick..." I glanced at the bag that Dusk was carrying while asking, "Have you put in all your gear?"

"No, I'm just waiting for what we have to bring, you've been taking care of everything since yesterday..."
