Chapter 25 Honesty

All Clara's important and unimportant items to carry when she moves to Duke Freiheit's house are taken care of by the butler, as Clara carries all the items in her room. After all her belongings were cleared up by the butler, she was today planning to visit the grave of the mother who died at the time she was born into this world before she went to the mansion that belonged to her fiance.

The Fragrante family cemetery is not too far from the city area that their families manage, therefore Clara decided to go there even though she usually only came once a year at the time of the commemoration of the mother's death, but this time he will go far away from this city so it is not sure if he will return quickly.

In front of the tomb of the mother Clara knelt down and placed the flower arrangement she had picked in the garden with her own hands and prayed to the mother to always be happy in heaven without having to worry about her being being in the world living a life. After about an hour in Clara's grave, he got up from there and went home, but who would have thought that Dain was back there waiting for him.

"Dain, what are you doing here?" clara asked with a confused look

"Why are you asking? Of course it is clear to visit the grave of the future mother-in-law, even though she is not in the world but she is still your parent,"

"So I certainly have to see him too" said Dain, who walked to the front of the tomb and knelt down to lay a bouquet of flowers on the tomb and prayed

After Dain finished praying, Dain walked up to Clara and hugged her warmly.

"It must have been heavy, since childhood you couldn't see your mother,"

"I'm sure he's very proud to see his daughter growing up and getting engaged" said Dain, who gave a sudden hug

Clara is initially confused by Dain's arrival to his family's funeral, but the moment he saw the figure of the man laying flowers and kneeling he began to understand that his fiancee also wanted to pay homage to her family. Clara smiled when she saw how gentle the current person like Dain was to herself to embrace like that.

"But why do you know I'm here? I remember that I sent this letter early in the morning that I was leaving tomorrow,"

"Didn't the letter arrive?" clara said with a plain look towards Dain while releasing her embrace

Dain was silent for a moment because he listened to the question given by Clara, because the letter sent by Clara did arrive but it was never written that she would visit her mother's grave on the outskirts of the city and rarely people know if there is a cemetery on the outskirts of the small town, so of course Clara would have asked about it even if she had found out that there were spies in her family's mansion, he also feels very tired if in his own home he is supervised every activity. Therefore before he moved to the mansion belonging to his fiancee all he wanted was the honesty of the man.

"Dain, why are you just silent? Can't you tell me how? Or did you put something in the mansion because you didn't believe in the person who was going to be engaged to you?" clara said in an innocent tone but a probing gaze towards Dain because at least he just wanted the male figure to open up to him before he really wanted to be the one in the future can be relied upon

For Clara, the dream she saw before bed was so bad that it made her a little afraid, because it was so realistic for her to feel it. But he also can't tell Dain because he doesn't want to make Dain feel he's being incited to hate something Clara doesn't look like, so at this time he just wants the trust of the male figure alone for him is enough compared to having to ask him the things that are in his dreams.

"So, can you say it?" clara asked while watching the movements of the male figure who was still hiding something from Clara

'Did he really not want to say honesty? Is it so hard to say directly?' clara said in her heart that was leaning against one of the trees that were in that place

"Let's just say, I won't get angry at all even if you actually put something in my house,"

"We're engaged don't you want to trust me like I trust you now?"

"Do you think my family is capable of overthrowing the kingdom? Until you put something down and you don't want to say it?" clara said with a serious look towards Dain

Dain had never before felt this depressed because he was cornered by someone who felt unwilling to tell Clara the truth.

"I did put a spy into Fragrante's mansion, but I'm not suspicious of you,"

"I mean at first I was suspicious of you because you were very good at defending me, but as long as I asked one of my spies to take note of you,"

"There's never been anything strange at all that I've just tasked him with protecting you and reporting on whether there's anything you're worried about or having trouble with so I can secretly help you," said Dain with his head bowed guilty to Clara

"Thank you for wanting to give me confidence" Clara said with a smile towards the male figure in front of her

Suddenly the wind blew fiercely towards the two as if greeting the two or saying everything was going to be fine. Clara felt a strong wind make Clara feel a little calm and light because like all will be fine in the future.

Because Dain had come to his family's mansion, Clara decides to move in immediately after permission to her father because she finds it a little troublesome if her fiance has returned home and comes back only to pick her up.

From here Clara began her life as the Duke's only fiance, no one knows what the future holds.
