Chapter 4 Clara Fragrante

After handing over the letter and walking half way towards the door of the room to exit, the waiter who listened to Clara's suspicious remarks immediately stopped his steps because there had never been a servant suspicious of him as long as he was a servant in the mansion of Fragrante's residence. And the first time he was caught, the servant turned his body and looked at the lady who looked very cold.

"From your silence and the way you can deliver this letter when it's not a butler or my personal servant,"

"I can conclude that you are a spy sent by Duke Freiheit and of course I know that he has no bad intentions for me because when you give your hand letter it is very different from the rough the hands of ordinary servants," Clara said with a cold and sharp look towards the servant who had turned to look at her

The servant then sighed and knelt before Clara. He knelt down not out of fear for Clara but fear that his master would be disappointed that he failed to perform his duties properly.

"Miss Fragrante, I beg you not to report to sir,"

"If not my master will throw me away and it is true that master has no ill intentions because master asked me to protect you," said the maid with her head bowed and begged for forgiveness from Clara who was sitting on the bed

Clara, of course, understood that Duke Freiheit was a person who was easily suspicious of others because there was no way anyone would want to help without asking for anything in return. Clara stared intently at every move the waiter showed in front of her to make sure there were no lies or tricks being used on her.

"Well, I'll keep this a secret,"

"But I hope you are also loyal to me otherwise you will know the consequences," clara said with a cold gaze towards the servant who was kneeling and bowed head then stood up and went running out of the room like a child who had just been given the opportunity not to repeat

Although the matter had been resolved, Clara felt that Duke seemed to want her dead because flowers were sent filling her room. Clara then decides to open the contents of the letter sent from the duke to her because it was sent along with the flower.

After reading the contents of his letter Clara felt that this Duke only wanted to avenge his cultivation for helping him, only, even so he was a little happy because the character he liked in the novel could talk to and pay attention to him who was only a fan. There was no more hope from him to idle the Duke in the novel.

"At least he sincerely sent this letter even though the flowers he sent seemed to want death," said Clara who stared with a faint smile at the letter received

The next day Clara was relieved to be able to move her waist back after getting the medicine and a full rest. A letter from Duke Aelfraed's family inviting him to a tea party is held, Clara who got this letter certainly will not be able to refuse it because the dukes who sent this letter the person who had known his face and could be if he was not present he might get no treatment well, therefore he immediately asked for permission to go out of the house to buy clothes in the town square along with the servants that Duke Freiheit had sent because he was no ordinary servant.

In the town square there were a lot of people talking and traders who traded the goods they sold. It can be calculated with Clara's finger coming to the city square for shopping or personal needs.

"Ariana, don't call me miss when you're in the town square because it's very dangerous" Clara said as she walked without looking back to see Ariana following her

In the novel Ariana is supposed to be a servant and to protect the holy maiden because the Duke is very fond of the holy maiden and is worried about the state of this spy who protects the girl's life in order to fulfill the duties given by a Duke. Clara felt this was a little deviated from the storyline, and it might have been a mess so at the moment she would not be able to just rely on the novel to survive as she was actually living in this place.

After the door was opened and Clara entered the room there were many nobles who like her were choosing clothes or making clothes and there she was very unlikely that she could meet the antagonist in this novel in a clothing store.

'What kind of mischief would this be if it kept happening?'

'There is no way I can be toyed with by fate, ' Clara said in her heart with a forced but cheerful smile

Seeing the face of Clara who two days ago was able to dance with a Duke made one of the noble girls who knew her directly walk towards him.

"You're the lady who danced with Duke Freiheit at the Duke's welcome home from the battlefield, right?" the words of a girl who approached him loudly and sparkling gazes towards Clara made everyone in the clothing boutique turn towards her and start whispering about her

"That's true, but wouldn't it be better to introduce yourself before you talk to someone? Because we don't know at all" Clara said with a professional smile to the girl in front of her

"Well, I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself,"

"My name is Fiore Cuore, I'm the daughter of the Count family,"

"And may I know what Miss's name is? Because you're so rarely seen and suddenly can dance with a very cruel Duke,"

"You weren't forced by the Duke? Or threatened by him, right?" miss Cuore said in a loud voice, a curious and suspicious look at what happened at the time of the party
