The Duke's Substitute Wife

The Duke's Substitute Wife
The Duchess Eliana

"Stop ! what you guys did to Viola." Shouted a woman, he walked up to them furiously. Viola has always been considered her own daughter. When his daughter chose to leave he did not blame Viola. Instead he added his affection for Viola. He was afraid that Viola would also leave him.

Everyone pointed at the voice, Viola who was already like a starving tiger he turned his face towards the bushes.

"Viola dear, you're fine," the woman pulled Viola's chin towards him. He could see Viola's eyes turning red meaning he was holding back his anger.

"Ferland, I told you. Your sister's not leaving because of Viola. It wasn't Viola who told her to leave," snapped Duchess Eliana, Duke Arland's wife.

"Are you not able to see? I have been silent all the time advising you, wishing your hearts were open. It's enough for you to insult her mother until Viola doesn't feel her real mother's affection. If Viola chooses, she doesn't want this as much as Viola's mother, Lillian."

"How many times have you said don't blame her,"

"We can't all dodge Mom, her fault is from her."

Viola stared intently at Ferland, but Duchess Eliana had already explained it several times. According to his memories, the woman in front of him never stopped advising Duke Arland and Ferland. He was the one who always treated his mother well.

"Let it be, in their eyes I was wrong and thank you for standing up for me, loving me all along. Next don't do this. I don't want to be told the thorns in your household. Wait a few more days. I made sure to find the whereabouts of big sister." Viola said passing away, passing Duchess Eliana and Duke Cristin just like that.

There was a bad taste in Duke Cristin's heart seeing him and listening to him, he wanted to get angry. But what Ferland says is true. Because she was Abella who chose to leave her. I wish he could marry his sister. Duke Cristin brushed off all the feelings of his mother, he should not waver in Abella's affairs.

The glass was scattered on the floor. Fresh blood came out from his right hand. It seemed that he could not wait long to stay in this house. He might have gone crazy and had a stroke.

"I need to get out of here. I'll prove it if I never wanted this wedding. I'll prove I can live without the Duke family. I'll take Abella to this house and make her Duchess. Just duke Arland and Duke Cristin." Viola said as he punched the mirror back.

Flora screamed, screaming as Viola punched the glass in front of her. The shadow of his face shattered along with the fresh blood that came out of his hands.

Flora went straight out of the room, looking for a cure for her employer.

Viola sat on the edge of his bed, he thrust out his left hand, letting Flora treat him. Every time Flora dripped medicinal water, her tears kept flowing. He grimaced in pain as the water fused with the master's blood. Surely his race is sick and sore.

"Did the madam miss Miss Lilliana?" ask Flora.

Alana's heart was touched, the longing was reflected in the figure of a mother who smiled at her holding her small hand. Perhaps he also felt that longing because his soul had fused with the owner of that body.

Viola sighed, he pulled the corner of his lips to the side. Strengthen those lips to smile. "I miss Flo, don't ask her that. I wanted to ask Flo why she left me. She should have brought me Flo." Viola said with tears in her eyes, her heart ached where she should remember those memories.

"I want to ask why he didn't take me. Does he not love me?"

The sound of knocking made the two men turn towards the door.

"Honey, open the door Viola. You are okay inside. I want to talk to you, son."

Viola looked towards his finished hand on the bandage. "Go, tell her I'm asleep" said Viola, raising her legs to her padded bed, then pulling her blanket up to her chest. He turned his back to that door.

"Alright, madam." she said.
