Living in a world full of chaos like in Gedhetenan Land is not something that can be lived just by relying on logic. Paijo became increasingly aware of this after living in the middle of nowhere for an entire month. All of them are very unreasonable and can never be understood by anyone if they never live it alone. It will even just feel like a dream to people who have never believed everything in this world.
Lucky or unlucky? Both of these things now make no difference to Paijo. Paijo felt lucky to escape from the pursuit of the top five races. But he also felt unlucky because it must be home to a parasite.
After agreeing a deal with Si Slime, Paijo continued to be in droves with various kinds of absurd things. Start with a slime figure that swallows itself round and round to make it feel like drowning in a thick liquid and ends unconscious. Then when it awakens, Paijo finds himself no longer human, but a humanoid cheetah. Realizing the change, Paijo is very hysterical and unable to accept what happened to him and intends to question what really happened by shouting. But the intention was not done because he realized his life was on the tip of the horn.
When his eyes opened, the second thing that was plastered in front of Paijo were the humanoid figures of cheetahs and cockroaches. Their numbers were tens and filled every corner of the room. They are busy looking for a human who is none other than Paijo.
For a moment Paijo tried to examine what was going on. He was the target of the figures before him and was still alive. Even the figures that were supposed to kill him looked friendly and quite worried about him. It is quite strange to think of these two very different things. I don't want to believe it, but what's going on is not a dream. Paijo knew this, and by being forced to choose to accept everything, tried to position himself as one of the figures of the races that were in the list of the ten strongest races.
Because there was no other way but to blend in with the situation, Paijo tried to tell what had happened to him as normally as possible. Of course what came out of his mouth was just a lie. Paijo admitted that he was suddenly attacked from behind while checking the entire room and fainted. Paijo also asserted that the attacker must be a human being who is being targeted by them. Paijo also acted as if the back of his head hurt in order to sweeten his lie.
Like drowning in a strong current, Paijo prefers to follow the flow of life that is turbulent. Paijo blends in with the group that is looking for him. Although his head was filled with questions and his mind thirsted for explanations for what was happening to him, Paijo tried to put all that aside and continue his acting. Paijo followed the search along with others for the next few hours until finally finding the momentum to separate and leave. That's when all the strangeness that befell Paijo got an explanation.
What happened was caused entirely by the slime. The figure of the race of cotostos named Babanyu explained everything as clearly as possible. After Paijo's approval to become a host, Babanyu immediately performed the unification ritual. He must swallow his prospective host alive before it enters his host body and merges. The process is quite terrible it always makes the host unconscious. After the process of unification, Babanyu performed his basic race skill, camouflage against Paijo, and transformed it into a humanoid cheetah.
"So like that?" Paijo tried to examine all Babanyu's words that passed through his eardrum. Who had unceasingly resounded since successfully separating from the group of pursuers.
Of all babanyu words, no one was harmed unilaterally. Arguably the deal between Paijo and Babanyu was mutually beneficial. By becoming a host, in addition to being able to camouflage into any humanoid creature, Paijo will get fifty percent of the status points babanyu. While in camouflage conditions will get forty percent. An advantage that can increase combat power.
On the other hand, the babanyu who inhabit the body of Paijo will get a supply of life energy that becomes the only food for the body of slime. In other words babanyu will absorb Paijo energy continuously. This will certainly make Paijo more quickly exhausted and limit the number of skills that can be used in the fight. But for now Paijo does not think too much about it. In addition to not having a single skill, with the addition of the status attribute given babanyu it was enough for Paijo to compensate for his enemies who had twice the level of him. Moreover, coupled with babanyu who was able to use his skill without taking additional energy from it.
"What's the last advantage I get? Come say! If I knew what it was, I would definitely be able to make the most of it."
"I told you it was a secret." Babanyu's voice was ringing in Paijo's head. Actually Paijo is quite disturbed by the way Babanyu talks to him which feels like telepathy. His voice was really echoing in the head. Although it seems strange and unnatural, but according to Paijo how to communicate with Babanyu is quite profitable considering he only needs to help to reply to his words. No one else will know what they are talking about.
"Basic stingy!"
"Easy! Don't force. Until I will never tell you the last advantage you get by being my host. What is clear is that the benefits are very useful to you."
"good. I won't ask again." Paijo surrender. Countless Paijo forced Babanyu to tell the final advantage of being the host of the Kotostos race and always ended up without a satisfactory answer.
"Good!"
"Now can you give me back my form? It seems they won't be looking until here. We're almost to the farm anyway."
"That's easy. Leave it to me."
At the end of Babanyu's speech, Paijo's hairy body loses its color and shape. The yellow color and the distinctive black bottles of a cheetah turn a transparent blue. While the structure of the shape turns into a sticky liquid. For a moment the liquid that can be ascertained belongs to Babanyu was moving slowly as if it was repositioning its molecular structure before finally absorbed into the pores of Paijo.
"It's pretty gross!" Paijo comments while observing the process of changing the shape of his body.
"You better get used to it. And now I'm going to sleep. So don't try to wake me up if you don't want your whole body to spasm."
Putting aside Babanyu's warning that Paijo didn't really understand, what Babanyu said was true. Camouflage skills could be the only way out for Paijo to avoid his enemies. Although it seems quite disgusting in the eyes, the skill is very useful to hide identity.
Not long ago the secret gate of Aman agriculture was seen. After passing through it, Paijo headed straight to his teacher's house. As usual, the place that has been the shade of Paijo for the past month has remained quiet. But there is something that attracts the attention of Paijo when he arrived in front of the porch of the house. Both of Paijo's eyes were fully focused on the door. The door that Paijo never passed was sealed, but now it's not. The wooden door was slightly open.
There's no answer. Even after a while of waiting and Paijo again called out in a loud voice, there was still no reply. Curious and worried, Paijo approached the door of the house and his eyes immediately scanned the room behind it. There's no one inside. The room was decorated only with a table and a pair of chairs on both sides felt quiet.
"Teacher!" Paijo called back. His voice was slow, but not too slow to hear. "Are you sleeping?" paijo continued, throwing a glance at the door on the right side of the room. The door is tightly closed. There was no sign of anyone opening the door. Then Paijo observed the hallway at the end of the room leading to the back of the house. The hallway which only has a width of no more than one and a half meters also feels quiet as if it has long never been passed by anyone.
For fear of anything happening to his teacher, Paijo decides to check in. But when his hand opened the door as wide as his body a new message appeared in front of Paijo's gaze.
"Hi Paijou! How are you after a long day of hunting? It's gonna be okay, right? It can't be dead, right? Of course not, right? Haha… !"
"okay! Enough of the bases and we get straight to the point. As my only student, from this moment on I declare you graduate. So there's nothing more I can teach you. Your fate depends on yourself. How much you develop in the future depends on how much you do. So fight and don't die! Okay." Okay."
Paijo's expression turned sour. His brain could not understand his teacher. The reason was of course because all this time his teacher had never trained him though. Let alone teaching something, whether it was a fighting technique or a skill. The only thing Paijo can do for a month is just basic training which is more suitable to be called a warm-up even though in fact all Aman commands and directives do improve the basic attributes of Paijo.
"Nb: as a graduation gift, I gave you the skill book you've wanted all along. I put it on the table."
Paijo still could not understand completely. Paijo felt that he had not done what a student should have done, as well as his teacher who also did not act like a teacher. And now, unexpectedly, Paijo was declared a graduate with no knowledge at all.
"Truly beyond expectations. But let. At least I got a skill book."
Without hesitation, Paijo walked in and directly directed a step towards the table. On the wooden table in the middle of the room was a worn-out book. The book with the gold cover looked very shabby. The color has faded and has patches to ashes almost all over it.
"Status." Paijo sat down and focused on the book at the table.
[Book of Farmer.
An ancient book that would make his readers a peasant.]
Paijo sighed. The book in front of him was in line with expectations. A book that will truly realize Paijo's initial goal of coming to Aman Farm, which is to become a farmer.
Since there was nothing to consider anymore, Paijo took the book before him and intended to read it right then and there. For a moment his hand touched the worn cover, then opened it to the side to activate the skill absorption process.
Golden light spots instantly flew out from the page behind the cover. As the light spots increase, page after page opens up one by one by itself. Paijo who witnessed the process smiled widely. Besides being quite stunning, what happened before his eyes was in accordance with the explanation in the guidebook.
"Eh! This-what's going on?" Paijo.
Spots of light that had previously come out slowly immediately scattered out like fire sprays, hitting the ceiling and spreading throughout the room. The moment the spots of light swirled like a tornado, the longer the rotation faster to make the walls of the room vibrate violently.
Paijo panic. The situation turned out to be changing beyond expectations. The seventeen-year-old didn't know what to do. What was going on before him was very different from the depiction that was in the playbook. Really very different. Quickly, light spots docked towards Paijo. They circled around very quickly and made Paijo its center. The roar of the sound they created felt soul-shaking.
Panic becomes fear. Paijo who was squeezed by millions of light spots felt threatened. Paijo intends to avoid, or at least shift to the side to create empty space in order to observe the situation. But that intention is only an intention. Paijo can't move. His body is in place. As hard as it tried to keep the joints all over his body frozen, as if a super strong glue suddenly smothered him.
The situation culminated when the light spots moved simultaneously to a single point, which was right to Paijo's forehead. Paijo who never expected to receive a blow to the head can only be wide and gaping. The scream did not have time to look from his mouth because of the impact that shook the brain. Paijo's body was ejected, hitting the wall behind him quite strongly before finally unconscious.
