A white-colored magic octagon appeared in front of the mysterious figure of nothingness. Slowly and dramatically enough a sword emerged from the center of the symbol. The weapon that was all made of white fire came out from the base.
"Do I look like a monster?" ask the mysterious figure while pulling the sword that just showed half its form. The figure's gaze was sharp and filled with hostility.
"Eitherway! But clearly you look different." replied Paijo casually. Not affected by the attitude of his interlocutor who tries to provoke a fight.
As far as Paijo was concerned, the figure before him looked strange as well as unique. The skin of the figure is pure white. His anatomy is almost the same as that of a human. What distinguishes it, the nails on his fingers are quite thick, long and pointed. A pair of small horns also adorned his forehead. Right between those two-centimeter-long horns was something that looked like a small white fireball. His irises are whitish-gray.
"Sorry! Your answer is wrong! So by force I must kill you." countered the mysterious figure flatly.
In just a blink of an eye the white-skinned figure disappeared from its place and suddenly appeared in front of Paijo. His gaze turned cold. Face flat. There was no doubt and no mercy on his face. While his right hand has been raised and ready to throw a sword into Paijo.
"Burn!" he continued, swinging the sword at Paijo, slashing his body diagonally.
Paijo who was the target of the attack can only close his eyes. The movement of the figure in front of him was too fast to make him unable to respond. In just a split second everything just happened. Paijo can't think of anything at such a short time. His brain is unable to respond to the situation until it makes the whole body sculpt. While Babanyu who continues to access all the senses of his host can only resign. He knew that the opponent he was facing was much stronger. So getting killed in an instant is not something strange.
After the deadly attack, Paijo relinquished what had just happened to him. He's sincere if he should be killed now. Even Paijo felt grateful for the loss of life without having to feel pain. He thinks it's luck. Although you have to wait a year to be resurrected, dying in a peaceful setting is not a bad thing.
Seconds by second passed. As time went on, Paijo began to feel an awkwardness. According to the guidebook, anyone killed in Gedhetenan Land would lose all sense functions after five seconds. The dark will wrap his eyes. Silence will smother his hearing. His brain stopped working. Then after a year has passed, when life re-washes, all the senses will function again.
All who have died agree if the process of death experienced is no doubt like blinking. They did not feel the slightest emptiness of time for a year. They also never claim that death is like a dream. They argue that way because death does not feel like death. What they experienced felt even shorter than fainting for a few seconds.
Paijo, who could still hear the roar of flames around him after more than five seconds, began to believe that something was wrong. Moreover, his nose could still smell the smoke and his brain did not lose control of any limb. Because of curiosity that can no longer be dammed, Paijo decided to open his eyes.
The first thing that caught both of Paijo's senses of sight was the back of a mysterious figure. The figure who was only wearing knee-length pants was walking away. Like a fire running out of fuel, the sword in his right hand slowly disappeared.
"Why didn't you kill me?" paijo asked spontaneously, puzzled as to why his opponent had decided not to end his life.
Hearing Paijo's words, the mysterious figure stopped stepping. Then with a single twisting motion, the figure turned around. His gaze immediately floated to Paijo, wide open great because it found the body that should have fallen to the ground was still standing firmly.
"Ti-I can't!" the most mysterious figure. Can't believe bandaging every word. "Why don't you die?" he continued with a slightly trembling voice. His steps swung back to Paijo.
"Of course because you didn't kill me. Your attack must not have hit me." Paijo.
"Don't joke! I'm not an amateur. So there's no way my attack missed. You must have done something."
Paijo let out a long breath. Confused to reply his interlocutor with what sentence. In fact, Paijo does not know why he is still alive after a severe attack like before. Therefore he tried to ascertain whether the mysterious figure in front of him changed his mind due to being merciful towards him. But after seeing the response of the figure, it seems Paijo's guess is wrong. It also means that the figure is serious about attacking and has done so.
For the next few seconds Paijo still did not reply. He was simply observing his opponent who kept on stepping closer. Both of his eyes tried to observe more closely the figure, both body gestures and his expression looked no awkwardness. In plain sight there was nothing strange about the white figure. Fair behavior. Likewise with the streaks of anger and surprise that were strewn all over his face.
But when Paijo's gaze was fixed on the two eyes of the figure who was out of nowhere, there was a trace of fear visible there. It was as if there was something inside Paijo that made his subconscious feel extremely frightened.
"How about you try it again." proposed Paijo. His words just slid. There was not a bit of fear in it. Impressed underestimated.
Babanyu who heard the crazy proposal of his host immediately threw a loud protest, "Are you crazy? Do you want to die just like that in his hands? Let's go quickly! This is our best chance."
"Calm down! There's something I want to prove. So just shut up inside and trust me!" reply Paijo in the mind.
"But-"
"Please trust me this time!"
With steady steps, that grey-eyed whitish figure approached even faster. Two octagons of white-colored magic appeared in front of the figure. Then with a single move, both of his hands grabbed the two swords that appeared in the center of the symbol.
"This time I'll make sure of your death!" exclaimed a mysterious figure as he accelerated his steps before finally jumping and landing in front of Paijo. At the same time both of his hands swung the sword crosswise.
Paijo did not move one bit. Only with the capital of a short observation that had just been done, Paijo opened his eyes wide. Whatever happens Paijo is determined to see all the events that will happen to him with his own eyes. He wanted to prove if a little fear that had emanated from the eyes of his opponent was the key to the strange that happened.
"This-- There shouldn't be anyone who can-the mysterious figure flabbergasted. His eyes twitched violently. While his words were broken because it was difficult to believe what had just happened right in front of him.
There was nothing Paijo could say now. Not because his mouth could not be moved but because his brain was difficult to understand what was happening. The two sword figures mysteriously completely slashed at his body from both sides. Paijo was very confident about it because he saw it for himself. It should have been at that moment that his body had split perfectly. But what happened Paijo still stood upright in place.
"No--no-there shouldn't be anyone like you!" the mysterious figure was again broken. This time each word was accompanied by a swing of the sword in both hands. With a loud and fast both of his weapons made of white fire were blotted into Paijo's body. Go on, on, and on, without anyone being able to stop it.
There was nothing wrong with the technique of the mysterious figure sword. All of his attacks were precise regarding Paijo who was his target. But there is one thing that makes all his terrible actions seem like a dream. No matter what the cause, the sword blade that was supposed to slice through Paijo's body suddenly disappeared right before hitting its target, then reappeared after passing through it. This happens every time a mysterious figure slams his sword into Paijo's body.
Realizing the strangeness, Paijo could not find the main reason. However, the events that were happening right before his eyes were simply unnatural. It really doesn't make any sense. Paijo is convinced that a mysterious figure knows the reason.
After more than two minutes of launching an attack, the mysterious figure stopped. Countless of his two swords slashed at Paijo decisively. But unfortunately none of them were able to hurt Paijo, even though it was just a small scratch.
"I want to ask." the mysterious figure gasped for breath.
"Please!" reply Paijo while nodding.
"Did you never intend to kill me?"
Paijo. "No."
"If there's been a lot of you that I've killed?"
This time Paijo widened his smile, feeling sad because it was considered as shortsighted by the figure before him. Actually there is nothing wrong with the thought of the figure. Anyone who is reasonable and careful and has high solidarity will certainly burn revenge if anyone tries to damage the life around him. No exception Paijo.
But Paijo has his own way of looking at everything. He tries to judge everything from different points of view. Including what had happened in the Black Earth Forest. Anyone who knew what had happened in this place would definitely immediately judge and take revenge on the mysterious figure considering the countless lives had been lost in his hands. But it's different with Paijo. The teenage man prefers to try to find out the real reason for the figure who has been a ruler for so long in this place.
"You must have your own reasons." Finally Paijo responded. "Can I hear it? Let's just say I'm trying to help you." Paijo ended his words with a big smile.
The look of the white-skinned figure sharpened. For a moment he simply observed Paijo from where he stood. "Tell me why you think that way first!" said firmly.
Paijo directly pointed the index finger of his right hand upwards. "I'm sure the protectors surrounding this place aren't ordinary protectors. You must have sacrificed a lot to create it. Right, right?" paijo was silent for a moment. His gaze was sharp and full of confidence. His smile never dimmed from his lips either. Paijo deliberately paused his speech in order to get a response from his interlocutor and of course to have a little control over the direction of the conversation.
"Please take it that way."
"To keep your true enemy out of this place. That's your main goal, right?" once again Paijo paused for a moment. But because it did not also get a response from the figure in front of him, Paijo continued his analysis. "Everything in this world has weaknesses. Including the protector that had been a sturdy wall that limited this valley with the outside world. Everyone knew that this wall could not be destroyed even by using legendary skills. That is a fact that has become a public secret. And you know it."
The white man heard carefully. Not a single word of Paijo's speech was missed just like that. His mouth that was previously agape at his failure to kill his opponent now began to arch a faint smile.
"Because you know that protectors can be destroyed by certain techniques and require considerable preparation and a long process, which takes time, then you create a gap by setting a level limit so that someone can enter it. You are also trying to create a situation that seems mysterious like there is a fog in the middle of the valley. So that way this place will never escape the attention of the outside world. In this case the UF is the target." Paijo was silent for a moment. His smile grew wider on the lips as if ready to throw the ultimate words. "With all those situations and conditions that you deliberately created, then your true enemy will never dare to try to destroy the protective wall in this place. Wh why? Because they are not an arbitrary party that can be consumed by the general public."
At the end of Paijo's speech a mysterious figure laughed out loud. His expression was filled with shock as well as satisfaction and enthusiasm. "I really did not expect to be dealing with a person who was able to use his brain well. Know it? All your analysts are right."
Paijo's smile was wide. Victory was engraved clearly on the corners of his lips. "So what are you protecting?"
