All sorts of battles if dominated by one side can be ascertained will only last a short time. The same was true of what was happening to the UF forces in the Black Land Forest. In just over two minutes, a quarter of the UF's troops had died. They were killed in a tragic way. The body was dismembered, split open with a very neat wedge mark. A sign that their bodies were slashed with a single swing.
Blood poured everywhere, gushing in the air like a fountain and splashed on the ground like liquid fertilizer in a plantation field. The hysterical and pain-filled cry became the only rhythm of the battle accompaniment. For members of the UF forces who cannot face what is caught in the eye, it is certain that their lives will be lost. The reason, of course, is because their bodies have frozen, their muscles and joints cannot accept the stab of horror until finally making it lose energy. All they could do in such a moment was stare, watch the last seconds of their lives being snatched away, let the body turn into a black fog and disappear amidst nothingness.
As for those who still had the fighting spirit of life, they tried to do what they could. Some retaliated with force. Some were using their agility to dodge or search for gaps to escape from the battlefield. There were also those who tried to defend as hard as they could by utilizing the high status of their defense. There was even a small portion of them reshaping small groups and reassembling battle formations. However, although impressed heroic and unyielding, in the eyes of anyone who became a spectator of the battle what every member of the UF forces did seemed futile because they were already mired too deep into the abyss of death, he said, only death will stop their struggle.
Paijo realized his actions would not change anything. But Paijo also could not just stay silent watching the massacre before his eyes. Although all Zerenians can come back to life a year later, the pain and mental burden of dying is not something that can be forgotten. Almost everyone will experience trauma. Whether it is only a mild trauma that can be removed after a few days or severe trauma that forces anyone who suffers can no longer live a normal life.
"Ice bomb!" paijo exclaimed slowly as he passed through the protective dome. A split second later, black smoke burst out from the white bracelet, creeping rapidly into the palm and leaving a metal tube there before being absorbed back into place. The tube is the same as the explosive used by Paijo while slaughtering thousands of pigs. There were ten light blue stones attached to its surface. The neatly arranged stone has a diameter of no more than one centimeter.
"What's that?" ask Babanyu curiously. During his life in Gedhetenan Land he had never seen anything like Paijo.
Paijo did not answer. His attention was focused on the boss who was dealing with one of the UF members. The figure has hair in the form of grass and is being pressed. With the remaining energy, the figure no taller than Paijo continued to create a protective wall from the roots. But as fast and thick as any protector he creates still every attack of his opponent easily tore him apart.
"Feel this!" continued Paijo while pressing the trigger at the end of the tube, then throw to the boss who was the target when only five meters away.
A fairly large explosion occurred a moment later right in the body of the monster. Ice fog instantly spread from the center of the explosion. It was so thick that it spread within a three meter radius. At the same time the sound of ice crackling aloud, indicating if someone has just frozen very quickly.
The previously jet-black monster had now turned bluish-white. His body froze in a slashing position. Forcing one of his black fire swords to stop in midair, exactly about five centimeters from the forehead of the grass-haired figure.
Knowing his efforts to pay off, Paijo ran to the boss of another nearby monster and did the same thing as before, then moved around again until the human teenager managed to freeze seven bosses around him.
Finding the opponent no longer moving, both the grass-haired figure and a dozen UF members threw glances around before stopping at Paijo who had just frozen one of the bosses. For UF members who have just been kept away from the brink of death to be able to find the main mastermind of what happened just now is not difficult. Paijo is not a high-level Zerenian. Even he had not broken through his first stage meditation. So with the shortcomings of course as fast as any movement Paijo still would easily be caught by the eyes of all UF members on the battlefield considering their levels are all far above Paijo.
"Hi! Was that you at the time?" A question suddenly grabbed Paijo's ear. His voice was soft with a little bit of hoarse spice in each word.
Spontaneous Paijo turned to the source of the voice. About fifteen meters from where he stood, Paijo saw a figure of light green skinned creature approaching.
"Hi! Are you all right?" ask Paijo back.
The grass-haired figure nodded as he arrived in front of Paijo. "Thanks! I don't know what's gonna happen to me if you don't come. It's really... "
"Easy! Don't think about it!" Paijo. His breathing was slightly stingy as he kept running since leaving his hiding place. "I'm just doing what you've done to me. So-so- "
"But-- "
"We'd better talk about that later!" Paijo cut back. As he approached, Paijo took out five ice bombs. "Use this to save your friends."
"What's this?" ask the grass-haired figure. Although curious and do not know what Paijo proposes, the figure still accepts it. For a moment he observed one of the ice bombs, trying to understand what was in his hand.
"That's an ice bomb. Freezing explosives like the one I used just now." Paijo explained briefly. "Now you help me save your friends. Use that bomb to open a way to escape."
After hearing Paijo's sudden request and understanding how the explosives worked in his hands, the grass-haired figure rushed off, approaching the other bosses to immediately rescue the other UF members. To speed up the rescue, Paijo also gave ice bombs to UF members he had saved. With many reinforcements, Paijo believes there will be many UF members who can be saved from the death hole.
Not wanting to waste any time, Paijo followed. He ran into the middle of the battlefield filled with a quarter of the UF troops. Paijo hopes that once there he can coordinate them and equip some of them with ice bombs as a tool to open the road. But when only fifty meters ran, something that was never expected by anyone stopped Paijo's steps. A punch that came out of nowhere suddenly hit Paijo's body very hard, instantly making his small human body fly for tens of meters before finally stopping to hit the ground until the poranda.
"Are you okay?" Babanyu panic.
Paijo coughing. Fresh blood spewed from his mouth. Paijo's face was bright red as it endured the madness of pain all over the body.
Four octagons of green magic appeared around Paijo very dramatically. The strands of his lines were drawn in the air all of a sudden, forming a wide variety of ancient symbols and writings that no one could understand. After the magic octagon formed perfectly in just a split second, the magic creation symbol glowed brightly and rotated on its axis. At the same time green light scattered from all over its surface, washing Paijo until his entire body was covered with green aura.
"Thanks!" exclamation Paijo. Slowly her red face lit up again as before. The streaks of suffering from enduring the pain bit by bit also vanished from his face. "Thank you for having healing skills. This really helps."
Paijo tried to stand up. But because the pain hit his body again, the human teenager fell back. Although not too painful, still the wound he just received was quite severe. Paijo did not give up. Once again tried to stand up, but his efforts came back in vain and made himself fall back among the debris of the land scattered around him.
"This. "Paijo's attention was unintentionally fixed on a sticky, viscous liquid that wrapped his hands. "Is this you?" asked Paijo while observing his entire body. It turns out that the sticky light blue liquid resembling the gel also wrapped Paijo from head to toe.
"Yes. The strongest protective skill I have." Babanyu replied. "It seems we are too weak to be here. Though the skill negates seventy-five percent physical attacks and fifty percent magic attacks."
Paijo was quite surprised by Babanyu's explanation. Seventy-five percent is not a small number. But the effect of the attack Paijo received was still very strong. Even after being given the healing skill Paijo still could not stand up. What if Babanyu was a little late using his skill? Of course Paijo will die at that time.
"High Health!" exclaim someone.
Eight green octagons appeared around Paijo out of nothing. It is twice the size of Babanyu's octagon of healing magic. The light emitted was also much brighter. Likewise with the spin which of course is also faster. Noticing this, neither Babanyu nor Paijo commented. But there was one thing that came to their brains, a thought that concluded if the magic was aimed at Paijo.
A sense of comfort and calm immediately felt by Paijo as green light washed all over the body. The excruciating pain slowly subsided with time. The body that previously could not be moved one by one can function properly. The healing process takes place in just two seconds. At such a short time the pain disappeared unceasingly.
"Are you okay?" Ask someone. His voice was the same as the figure of the healing skill dispenser a few seconds before. "I saw you... "
"Now I'm fine." cut Paijo. A moment his gaze was thrown at the source of the sound. Then smiled when he found out that his helper was a grass-haired figure. "Thanks!"
"You better leave! This place is too dangerous for you" said the grass-haired figure who was now standing not far from Paijo. "With your level now it's tantamount to suicide" he continued with a slight hesitation as he finished his words.
"He's right." Babanyu. "Our level is too low to be able to put up a fight. We can come back again once our level is close to a hundred. After all, the most important thing is that we already know the secret of the boss of this place." continued Babanyu with a voice that only Paijo could hear.
"Wait for what else! Get out of here!" insist on a grass-haired figure. "You've helped us a lot. Thanks to you, almost half of us survived. This is enough. Your job is done here."
For a moment Paijo did not respond. He was silent in his own thinking. However, neither Babanyu nor the grass-haired figure could be refuted. Everything they say is true and of course for Paijo's safety. But for Paijo, what had happened should not have ended just like that with a detrimental result on Zerenian's side.
Paijo believes there is still a way to end the fight for good. But what needs to be done to make that happen? As hard as he thought, Paijo had trouble finding him. When viewed from the level, whoever was inside the protective dome could not rival the Boss level tier of this place. Whereas if you look at the situation and the current conditions, what happened is very unfavorable to the UF considering there are many boss figures that can erode the difference in numbers on both sides. Judging from anywhere and in any way, Paijo was confident that the battle would be completely won by the Boss of the Black Earth Forest. It is absolute and must be accepted by him.
But as despair began to fester, Paijo's attention was accidentally focused on a piece of stone near his hand. Still with the condition down, Paijo grabbed the black stone. For a few seconds Paijo observed and tried to remember something that was likely stored in the brain. In addition to its deep black color, the surface of the stone is shiny, and from the smell of something resembling fuel.
"Don't this-don't coal?" Paijo concluded. His voice was slow to sound like a murmur.
"What did you say?" ask the grass-haired figure.
Paijo stood up from his slump. His gaze was sharp and filled with optimism. Staring at the grass-haired figure Paijo asked, his tone calm without being wrapped in fear or horror, "What's your name?"
"Yenyen."
"I'm Paijo." Balas Paijo introduced himself. "Listen well to what I'm going to say. Remember that! Let no one be missed. Wh why? Because I have a way to end this battle for good."
