The Love of the Mafia World 2

The Love of the Mafia World 2
Deciding Together

"There's something important I want to ask you."

Both of Sean's eyebrows moved downhill, narrowing their eyes at Alan who was still holding his hands to his chest.

"What do you want to ask?" Sean said with an unpleasant face to Alan, but the man seemed to not care.

"How do you sign a letter of agreement with the hospital to hold your wife and child for an indefinite period?"

Glek, Sean had trouble swallowing his saliva which felt like chunks of ice. Alan could have said blatantly what Sean had kept secret to Salwa.

"Hold me and Kinan?" Salwa asked with Sean glaring at Alan, demanding an answer to her husband for what Alan had just revealed.

"I didn't do it, believe me." Sean replied gently, convincing Salwa that his wife would not question him again.

"I've read your affidavit, you want to stay here until your wife is completely healed. The doctor let you go home today. Why would you do that?"

Salwa just stared at Sean full of questions, but was reluctant to say anything. She did not want to argue with her husband in front of others. For her the self-esteem of her husband was much more important, even though Sean had always succumbed to her.

"I did it because I wanted Salwa to heal quickly. If his condition is still in pain, how can I force him to go home?"

The doctor had allowed Salwa and baby Kinan to go home today, but seeing Salwa still in such pain left Sean unsure of the doctor's decision. So he decided to stay in the hospital until Salwa was completely healed and did not feel pain in the wound. He signed a statement, made a deal with the hospital by force of his own volition.

"Sean, just this time I saw you acting stupid and senseless. No matter how good the hospital is, and no matter how luxurious the facilities you get in the hospital, the hospital is still a hospital. A place where viruses and seeds of disease gather and roam ready to perch in the human body, especially newborns who do not yet have a perfect immune system. Therefore, if the doctor advises to go home, then go home." said Alan by staring at Sean full of demands.

Alan walked forward to the baby box, where baby Kinan was fast asleep. His hand was interested in stroking the tiny baby's puffed cheeks which did look cute. When his pinky skin almost touched the surface of Kinan's cheek skin, Sean's hands immediately prevented it by violently denying Alan's hand.

"You've just touched your sick patients, but now you want to touch my son? Do you want to infect him with the seeds of the disease you brought from your body?" Sean said in a rude tone to Alan, he was still annoyed at his friend. Already disturbing his intimacy with Salwa, now even dismantle his secret openly in front of his wife. Seeing how Salwa looked at him in disappointment, making Sean sure that surely after this Salwa would sulk at him.

Alan chuckled, he already knew how the character of his best friend so that he was not affected or hurt at all.

"It seems that it is not your command that dominates, even your genetics are also very dominant down to your child. Hopefully the character is not so, it would be very unlucky if his face and nature also decreased like you." Alan said with a slight mock, it seems that provoking the anger of Sean who tried to hold him back would be very pleasant. Sean's face was already flushed red, but he was still trying to display a gentle smile if he accidentally met his wife.

"If you're only here to insult you'd better get out, I still have business with my wife and son." Sean said that he had kicked out Dr. Alan clearly. Alan sometimes acts annoying if Sean is in such a cornered condition, but there is absolutely no ill will in his mind.

"Alright, I'm also very busy." Alan then turned to look at Salwa. "If anyone bothers you again, let me know. I'll come help you get rid of him." he said, winking back one eye.

"You !" Sean gets ready to take off his shoes, wanting to throw them at Alan, but quickly Alan comes out and rushes back to the door of Salwa's treatment room.

Now live Sean and Salwa is also a baby Kinan who is still asleep in the baby box. Sean sat down, looking a little clumsy with silence stretched between them. That damn Alan had already made the intimate atmosphere of the two of them become silent and gripping. Sean's eyeballs go around, looking for topics of conversation so that the atmosphere of silence was immediately melted. His eyes were fixed on the food that Sean had previously offered Salwa, who Salwa had rejected for the reason of being full.

"You must be hungry, now eat?" Sean moved from his seat to take the dining place he ordered from the outside by telling his bodyguard. Before Sean's hand touched the food, Salwa opened her voice. "Mas, is what Dr. Alan said true?"

Sean turned his head, looking at Salwa gently, trying to give his wife some understanding. He turned towards where Salwa was sitting, then bowed, lowering his body until his knees touched the floor to be used as a stack while holding his wife's hands together .

"I've spoken to the pediatrician, and he recommends that mothers and babies not travel long distances for the first month. Because mothers and babies need a stable environment to adjust to a new life" Sean explained to his wife.

"One first month?" Salwa raised both eyebrows, is Sean planning to stay in this hospital until Kinan reaches the age of one month? Must be so boring not to be confined to a hospital like this until that one month's time is over? As if understanding what Salwa was thinking, Sean resumed his words.

"If it is necessary, we can do a flight if the age of Kinan has reached two weeks. And as long as we're in this country, we'll stay in hotels."

"But you're saying that Kinan can take a flight when he's a month old, then what's not dangerous for Kinan if we take him at just two weeks old?" Salwa asked enthusiastically for Sean's answer which felt a little confusing.

"With a record of babies born normally with sufficient weight and in good health, we can do the flight at two weeks of age. And Kinan was in it. Have you missed home so much?" sean asked then, which was immediately followed by a nod by his wife.

"I want to see Mom." Salwa took a long breath. "When I went through such a painful process of giving birth, I remembered my mother. I feel like I've done too much wrong to him. Seeing how painstakingly she conceived and gave birth to me, as well as her struggles to raise and educate me, I felt that what I experienced was not comparable to what my mother experienced. I wanted to apologize to him, as well as show Kinan our son. My mother must be so happy because she's already a grandmother." Salwa's eyes glazed over as she said it, making Sean nod and kiss both backs of Salwa's hands that were still in his grasp.

"I see, I feel the same way. Do you want to accompany me to my mother's meal? He'll be happy to be visited by his son-in-law and grandson."

"Of course, we'll visit mom's grave together." Salwa replied quickly, making Sean smile happily. "But I've heard that if a baby on a plane will experience pain in the abdomen and ear that is aching due to air pressure that is so rapidly changing, will Kinan not experience it later?" Salwa asked a little anxiously at the thought of Kinan being so small that he felt pain in his stomach and ears when he was at a high altitude.

"I've consulted the matter before, If we let Kinan fall asleep before takeoff then it won't happen. Before boarding the plane, you should breastfeed him first and make sure he burps well. Because when in the plane, low atmospheric pressure can increase gas in the intestine. Therefore sucking******* or milk bottle can add more air to the already swollen intestine, thus causing abdominal pain."

"That means I can't feed him in the cabin? What if Kinan suddenly cried mas, what should I do?" Being a new mother does take a lot of learning, and it makes Salwa must really know what is good and bad for Kinan.

"You can breastfeed them smaller but frequent portions, and make sure Kinan burps after getting food. You take it easy, I'll help you take care of Kinan. You're not alone, I'm his parents, right? We'll take care of it together." said Sean gently who made the anxiety instantly disappear on Salwa's face.

Seeing Salwa was not moody anymore because his decision was done unilaterally to make Sean a little relieved. He knew Salwa was not the grumpy type of girl, his wife was patient enough to deal with him even though sometimes Sean decided something that meant a lot to Salwa, such as deciding that his wife quit college which was his dream long ago. Selfish indeed, but Sean did it for the good of Salwa and her son.

"You know, I've always followed whatever you decide for me, because my world is you and Kinan. But, I want you to tell me first before you decide anything, even if in the end the decision remains in your hands." Salwa said with a look at Sean who was currently also looking into his eyes.

Salwa only wants at their wedding that is currently blessed with a child so that Sean does not decide things unilaterally. He wants to contribute to give input even though it is Sean who will be the originator of the final decision. But it would be nice if a couple exchanged ideas to decide something that is indeed it for the common good is not it?

Sean nodded, he quite understood what Salwa meant. "I'll tell you first before making a decision, do you forgive me now?"

Salwa nodded with a cheerful smile. "I can never be angry with you" she said gently, followed by a smile on Sean's lips. Sean stood up from his position, bowed to give Salwa a kiss and whispered softly. "I'm very lucky to have you. Well, since you're not angry, can we continue with that?"

"Well...." Salwa was agape at her husband's sudden request.
